Joshua 3
1 And he rose early Joshua in the morning and they set out from Shittim and they came to the Jordan he and all [the] people Israel and they stayed there before they passed over.
Levantou-se pois Josué de madrugada, e partiram de Sittim, e vieram até ao Jordão, elle e todos os filhos d'Israel: e pousaram ali, antes que passassem.
2 And it was from [the] end of three days and they passed the officers in [the] midst of the camp.
E succedeu, ao fim de tres dias, que os principes passaram pelo meio do arraial;
3 And they commanded the people saying when see you [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh God your and the priests the Levites carrying it and you you will set out from place your and you will go behind it.
E ordenaram ao povo, dizendo: Quando virdes a arca do concerto do Senhor vosso Deus, e que os sacerdotes levitas a levam, parti vós tambem do vosso logar, e segui-a.
4 Nevertheless - a distance it will be between you (and between it *Q(k)*) about two thousand cubit[s] by measurement may not you draw near to it so that that you may know the way which you will go in it for not you have passed in the way from yesterday three days ago.
Haja comtudo distancia entre vós e ella, como da medida de dois mil covados: e não vos chegueis a ella, para que saibaes o caminho pelo qual haveis d'ir; porquanto por este caminho nunca passastes antes.
5 And he said Joshua to the people consecrate yourselves for tomorrow he will do Yahweh in midst your wonders.
Disse Josué tambem ao povo: Sanctificae-vos, porque ámanhã fará o Senhor maravilhas no meio de vós
6 And he said Joshua to the priests saying lift up [the] ark of the covenant and pass over before the people and they lifted up [the] ark of the covenant and they went before the people.
E fallou Josué aos sacerdotes, dizendo: Levantae a arca do concerto, e passae adiante d'este povo. Levantaram pois a arca do concerto, e foram andando adiante do povo.
7 And he said Yahweh to Joshua the day this I will begin to make great you in [the] eyes of all Israel that they will know! that just as I was with Moses I will be with you.
E o Senhor disse a Josué: Este dia começarei a engrandecer-te perante os olhos de todo o Israel, para que saibam, que assim como fui com Moysés assim serei comtigo.
8 And you you will command the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of the covenant saying when come you to [the] edge of [the] waters of the Jordan in the Jordan you will stand still.
Tu pois ordenarás aos sacerdotes que levam a arca do concerto, dizendo: Quando vierdes até á borda das aguas do Jordão, parareis no Jordão.
9 And he said Joshua to [the] people of Israel draw near hither and hear [the] words of Yahweh God your.
Então disse Josué aos filhos d'Israel: Chegae-vos para cá, e ouvi as palavras do Senhor vosso Deus.
10 And he said Joshua by this you will know! that God living [is] in midst your and certainly he will dispossess from before you the Canaanite[s] and the Hittite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Girgashite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
Disse mais Josué: N'isto conhecereis que o Deus vivo está no meio de vós: e que de todo lançará de diante de vós aos cananeos, e aos hetheos, e aos heveos, e aos phereseos, e aos girgaseos, e aos amorrheos, e aos jebuseos.
11 Here! [the] ark of the covenant [the] lord of all the earth [is] about to pass on before you in the Jordan.
Eis que a arca do concerto do Senhor de toda a terra passa o Jordão diante de vós.
12 And therefore take for yourselves two [plus] ten man from [the] tribes of Israel a man one a man one to the tribe.
Tomae-vos pois agora doze homens das tribus d'Israel, de cada tribu um homem;
13 And it will be when rest [the] soles of [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of [the] ark of Yahweh [the] lord of all the earth in [the] waters of the Jordan [the] waters of the Jordan they will be cut off! the waters that are coming down from to above so they may stand a heap one.
Porque ha de acontecer que, assim que as plantas dos pés dos sacerdotes que levam a arca do Senhor, o Senhor de toda a terra, repousem nas aguas do Jordão, se separarão as aguas do Jordão, e as aguas que de cima descem pararão n'um montão.
14 And it was when set out the people from tents their to pass over the Jordan and the priests [the] bearers of the ark the covenant before the people.
E aconteceu que, partindo o povo das suas tendas, para passar o Jordão, levavam os sacerdotes a arca do concerto diante do povo.
15 And just as came [the] bearers of the ark to the Jordan and [the] feet of the priests [the] bearers of the ark they were dipped in [the] edge of the waters and the Jordan it is full over all banks its all [the] days of harvest.
E os que levavam a arca, quando chegaram até ao Jordão, e os pés dos sacerdotes que levavam a arca, se molharam na borda das aguas, (porque o Jordão trasbordava sobre todas as suas ribanceiras, todos os dias da sega),
16 And they stood the waters which came down from to above they rose a heap one far away very (from Adam *Q(K)*) the city which [is] from [the] side of Zarethan and which went down to [the] sea of the Arabah [the] Sea of Salt they were complete they were cut off and the people they passed over before Jericho.
Pararam-se as aguas, que vinham de cima; levantaram-se n'um montão, mui longe da cidade d'Adam, que está da banda de Santan; e as que desciam ao mar das campinas, que é o mar salgado, faltavam de todo e separaram-se: então passou o povo defronte de Jericó.
17 And they stood the priests [the] bearers of the ark [the] covenant of Yahweh on the dry ground in [the] middle of the Jordan firmly and all Israel [were] passing over on the dry ground until that they had finished all the nation to pass over the Jordan.
Porém os sacerdotes, que levavam a arca do concerto do Senhor, pararam firmes em secco no meio do Jordão: e todo o Israel passou em secco, até que todo o povo acabou de passar o Jordão.
