< John 13 >

1 Before now the feast of the Passover knowing Jesus that (came *N(k)O*) to him hour that He may depart out of world this to the Father, having loved [his] own who [were] in the world to [the] end He loved them.

2 And supper (taking place, *N(k)O*) the devil already having put into the heart that he may betray Him (Judas *N(k)O*) [son] of Simon (Iscariot *NK(o)*)
Hlaembuh a vael uh vaengah amah aka voei ham Simon capa Judas Iskariot loh a thinko ah rhaithae a khueh coeng.
3 knowing (*k*) (Jesus *K*) that all things (has given *N(k)O*) to Him the Father into the hands, and that from God He came forth and to God He is going,

4 He rises from the supper and lays aside the garments, And having taken a towel He girded Himself.

5 After that He pours water into the basin and He began to wash the feet of the disciples and to wipe [them] with the towel with which He was having girded himself.
Baeldung dongah tui a loei tih hnukbang rhoek kah kho te koe a silh. Te phoeiah a vaep tangtae la aka om rhawnawn neh a huih pah.
6 He comes then to Simon Peter; (and *k*) who says to Him (that [question]; *ko*) Lord, You yourself my do wash feet?
Simon Peter taengah a pha vaengah amah te, “Boeipa, nang loh kai kho na sil aya?” a ti nah.
7 Answered Jesus and said to him; What I myself do you yourself not know presently, you will know however after these things.
Jesuh loh anih te a doo tih, “Ka saii he nang loh tahae ah na ming pawt dae tahae lamkah phoeiah na ming bitni,” a ti nah.
8 Says to Him Peter; certainly not shall You wash my feet to the age. Answered (*k*) Jesus to him; only unless I shall wash you, not you have part with Me. (aiōn g165)
Peter loh, “Ka kho he a voelvai ah sil loengloeng boeh,” a ti nah. Jesuh loh, “Nang kan sil pawt koinih kai taengah benbo benpang la na om mahpawh,” a ti nah. (aiōn g165)
9 Says to Him Simon Peter; Lord, not the feet of me only but also the hands and the head.
Amah te Simon Peter loh, “Boeipa, ka kho bueng pawt tih ka kut neh ka lu khawm ta,” a ti nah.
10 Says to him Jesus; The [one] having bathed himself not has need (only *no*) (except *N(K)O*) the feet to wash, but is clean wholly; and you yourselves clean are but not all.
Jesuh loh anih taengah, “Tui aka hlu tah a caih la boeih om tih a kho silh ham bueng pawt atah a tloe silh ngoe pawh. Te phoeiah nangmih tah a caih la na om uh dae boeih na cim uh moenih,” a ti nah.
11 He knew for the [one who] was betraying Him; on account of this He said (that *no*) Not all clean you are.
Amah aka voei te a ming coeng. Te dongah, “A caih la boeih na om uh pawh,” a ti nah.
12 When therefore He had washed the feet of them and taken the garments of Him and (he reclined *N(k)O*) again, He said to them; Do you know what I have done to you?
Amih kah kho te a silh phoeiah a himbai te a loh tih koep ngol. Te vaengah amih te, “Nangmih ham ka saii te na ming uh a?
13 You yourselves call Me: Teacher and Lord, and rightly you say; I am for.
Nangmih loh kai he saya neh boeipa la nan khue uh dae ka om van dongah balh na thui uh.
14 If therefore I myself washed your feet the Lord and the Teacher, also you yourselves ought of one another to wash the feet;
Te dongah kai boeipa neh saya loh nangmih kah kho te ka silh atah nangmih khaw khat neh khat kah kho te na silh uh ham a kuek.
15 A pattern for I gave you, that even as I myself did to you also you yourselves may do.
Kai loh nangmih taengah ka saii bangla nangmih long khaw saii uh tila moeiboe pakhat nangmih kan paek coeng.
16 Amen Amen I say to you; not is a servant greater than the master of him nor [is] a messenger greater than the [one who] having sent him.
Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, sal tah a boei lakah tanglue la, caeltueih khaw amah aka tueih lakah tanglue la a om moenih.
17 If these things you know, blessed are you if you shall do them.
He he na ming uh tih te rhoek te na vai uh atah yoethen la na om uh coeng.
18 Not about all of you I speak; I myself know (whom *N(k)O*) I chose; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled: The [one] eating (with *k*) (Me *N(k)O*) the bread lifted up against Me myself the heel of him.’
Nangmih boeih ham ka thui moenih a? Kamah loh ka tuek te ka ming. Tedae cacim te tah soep mai saeh. Ka buh aka ca loh kai taengah a khodil a taloeh coeng.
19 From now I am telling you before it comes to pass, so that (you may believe *NK(o)*) when it may happen that I myself am [He].
A om hlanah nangmih kan ti nah coeng. Te daengah ni a om vaengah kai ni tila nan tangnah uh eh.
20 Amen Amen I say to you; the [one] receiving (maybe *N(k)O*) any I shall send, Me myself receives; the [one] now Me myself receiving, receives the [One] having sent Me.
Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, khat khat ka tueih te aka doe long tah kai ni n'doe. Kai aka doe long khaw kai aka tueih te a doe,” a ti nah.
21 These things having said Jesus was troubled in spirit and He testified and said; Amen Amen I say to you that one of you will betray Me.
Hekah he Jesuh loh a thui vaengah mueihla hinghuen doela a phong tih, “Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui nangmih khuikah pakhat loh kai m'voeih ni,” a ti.
22 Were looking (therefore *KO*) upon one another the disciples, being uncertain of whom He is speaking.
U a thui khaw hnukbang rhoek tah ingang uh tih khat khat ah so uh thae.
23 There was (now *k*) reclining one (of *no*) the disciples of Him in the bosom of Jesus whom was loving Jesus;
A hnukbang rhoek khuikah pakhat tah Jesuh kah rhang dongah om tih a vael. Anih te Jesuh loh a lungnah.
24 Motions therefore to him Simon Peter (and says to him *o*) (to ask *NK(o)*) who maybe (it would be *NK(o)*) about whom He is speaking.
Anih te Simon Peter loh a mikhip tih, “A thui te u lam nim a pawk ve,” a ti nah.
25 (Having leaned then *N(k)O*) he (thus *NO*) on the breast of Jesus he says to Him; Lord, who is it?
Te phoeiah anih te Jesuh kah rhang dongah hangdang tangloeng tih, “Boeipa, unim?” a ti nah.
26 Answers (therefore *O*) Jesus; He it is to whom I myself (will dip *N(k)O*) the morsel (and *no*) (will give *N(k)O*) (to him. *no*) (And *k*) (having dipped *N(k)O*) (then *NO*) the morsel (He takes [it] and *NO*) gives [it] to Judas [son] of Simon (Iscariot. *N(k)O*)
Jesuh loh, “Anih tah kamat ka nuem vetih amah taengah ka paek ni,” a ti nah. Te dongah kamat te a nuem phoeiah a loh tih Simon capa Judas Iskariot te a paek.
27 And after the morsel, then entered into him Satan. Says therefore to him Jesus; What you enact, do enact quicker.
Kamat nen mah anih te Satan loh a kun thil coeng. Te dongah Jesuh loh anih te, “Na saii te hat saii to,” a ti nah.
28 This now no [one] knew of those reclining to what He spoke to him.
A taengah a thui te aka vael rhoek loh ming pawh.
29 Some for were thinking, since the money bag had (*k*) Judas, for is saying to him Jesus; do buy what things need [of] we have for the feast, or to the poor that something he may give.
A ngen loh tangkacun te Judas loh a khoem dongah khotue ham a ngoe koi te lai ham neh khodaeng rhoek te khat khat paek ham te Jesuh loh anih a ti nah tila a poek uh.
30 Having received therefore the morsel he went out immediately; it was now night.
Te dongah anih loh vaidam kamat te a doe tih pahoi cet. Te vaengah khoyin la om.
31 When therefore he had gone out, says (*k*) Jesus; Now has been glorified the Son of Man, and God has been glorified in Him,
A caeh tangloeng vaengah Jesuh loh, “Tahae ah hlang capa tah a thangpom vetih Pathen tah anih ah a thangpom ni.
32 If God is glorified in Him also God will glorify Him in (Him[self] *N(k)O*) and immediately will glorify Him.
Pathen te anih ah a thangpom atah Pathen long khaw amah dongah anih a thangpom ni. Te vaengah anih te tlek a thangpom ni.
33 Little children, yet a little while with you I am. You will seek Me, and even as I said to the Jews that Where I myself go you yourselves not are able to come, also to you I say now.
Oingaih rhoek, nangmih taengah kolkalh tah ka om pueng vetih kai nan toem uh ni. Tedae Judah rhoek taengah, ‘Ka caeh nah te nam pha ham coeng thai pawh,’ ka ti nah vanbangla nangmih taengah khaw kan thui coeng.
34 A commandment new I give to you that you may love one another, even as I have loved you so also you yourselves may love one another.
Khat neh khat lung uh thae tila nangmih olpaek a thai la kam paek. Nangmih kan lungnah vanbangla nangmih khaw khat neh khat lung uh thae ham.
35 By this will know all that to Me disciples you are, if love you shall have among one another.
Khat neh khat taengah lungnah na khueh uh atah te nen ni kai kah hnukbang la na om uh te boeih a ming uh eh,” a ti nah.
36 Says to Him Simon Peter; Lord, where go You? Answered to him (*k*) Jesus; Where I go not you are able Me now to follow; you will follow however afterward (to me. *k*)
Amah te Simon Peter loh, “Boeipa, melam na caeh eh?” a ti nah. Jesuh loh, “Kai ka caeh nah te tahae ah nam vai uh thai mahpawh tedae hmailong ah nam vai uh bitni,” a ti nah.
37 Says to Him Peter; Lord, because of why not am I able You (to follow *NK(o)*) presently? The life of mine for You I will lay down.
Peter loh, “Boeipa, balae tih tahae ah nang kam vai uh thai pawt eh? Nang ham ka hinglu te ka voeih ni,” a ti nah.
38 (answers *N(k)O*) (to him *k*) Jesus; The life of you for Me will you lay down? Amen Amen I say to you; certainly not [the] rooster (may crow *N(k)O*) until that (you will deny *N(k)O*) Me three times.
Jesuh loh, “Kai ham na hinglu te na voeih mai ni? Nang taengah rhep rhep ka thui, kai voei thum nan hnoel hlan atah ai khong loengloeng mahpawh,” a ti nah.
