< John 16 >

1 These things I have spoken to you that not you may fall away.
N'khah uh pawt ham ni nangmih taengah he he ka thui.
2 Out of the synagogues they will put you; but is coming an hour that everyone who having killed you may think [it is] a service to offer to God.
Nangmih te a hael la n'haek uh ni. A tue ha pawk vaengah hlang boeih loh nangmih n'ngawn te Pathen taengkah thothuengnah a khueh la a ngai uh ni.
3 And these things they will do (to you *k*) because not they know the Father nor Me myself.
Te khaw a Pa neh kai m'ming uh pawt dongah ni a saii uh eh.
4 But these things I have said to you, so that when may have come the hour (of them, *no*) you may remember those [things] that I myself said to you. These things now to you from [the] beginning not I said, because with you I was.
Tedae he he nangmih kan thui coeng. Tedae nangmih taengah ka om dongah hekah he a tongcuek lamloh nangmih ham ka thui moenih.
5 Now however I go to the [One] having sent Me, and none of you asks Me; Where are You going?
6 But because these things I have said to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
Te phoeiah hekah he nangmih taengah ka thui coeng dongah kothaenah loh nangmih thinko te a koei.
7 But I myself the truth say to you; it is profitable for you that I myself may go away; only for (I myself *o*) unless I shall go away, the Helper (not will come *NK(o)*) to you; if however I shall go, I will send Him to you.
Tedae kai loh nangmih taengah oltak ka thui, Kai ka caeh te nangmih ham rhoei bet. Ka cet pawt koinih nangmih taengah baerhoep te ha pawk mahpawh, Tedae ka caeh atah nangmih taengla anih kan tueih ni.
8 And having come He will convict the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment.
Anih te ha pawk vaengah diklai te tholh kawng khaw, duengnah kawng khaw, laitloeknah kawng khaw.
9 concerning sin indeed, because not do they believe in Me myself;
Kai n'tangnah uh pawt dongah tholhnah kawng.
10 concerning righteousness however, because to the Father (of mine *k*) I go away, and no longer no longer you behold Me;
Pa taengla ka cet vetih kai nan hmuh uh voel pawt ham dongah duengnah kawng khaw.
11 concerning now judgment, because the ruler of the world this has been judged.
He diklai boei te lai a tloek coeng dongah laitloeknah kawng khaw a toeltham ni.
12 Yet many things I have to you to say but not you are able to bear them now.
Nangmih taengah thui ham muep om pueng dae nangmih loh tahae ah na doe uh tloel.
13 When however may come He, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you (into the truth all. *N(k)O*) not for He will speak from Himself, but as much as (maybe *k*) (He will hear *N(k)(o)*) He will speak and the [things] coming He will declare to you.
14 He Me myself will glorify, for from that which [is] Mine He will take and will disclose to you.
Te long ni kai n'thangpom eh.
15 All things as much as has the Father Mine are; because of this I said that from that which [is] Mine (He receives *N(k)O*) and will disclose to you.
Pa loh a khueh boeih te kai kah ni, Te dongah, ‘Kamah kah te a doe tih nangmih taengah ka puen bitni,’ ka ti.
16 A little [while] and (no longer no longer *N(K)O*) you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me (that I myself I am going to Father. *K*)
“Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh pawt sui dae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni,” a ti nah.
17 Said therefore [some] of the disciples of him to one another; What is this that He says to us; A little [while] and not you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me’? and Because (I myself *k*) I am going to the Father’?
Te dongah a hnukbang rhoek khuiah khat neh khat te, “Mamih taengah, ‘Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh voel pawt sui dae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni. Te phoeiah pa taengla ka cet ni,’ a ti te metlam a om,” a ti uh.
18 They were saying therefore; what is This that He says a little [while]’? Not we do know what He is saying.
Te dongah, “A thui te me tlam nim a om te? ‘Kolkalh ah’ a ti te m'ming uh moenih,” a ti uh.
19 Knew (therefore *K*) Jesus that they were desiring Him to ask, and He said to them; Concerning this do you inquire among one another that I said; A little [while] and not you do behold Me, and again a little [while] and you will behold Me’?
Anih dawt ham a ngaih uh te Jesuh loh a ming dongah amih te, “‘Kolkalh om vetih kai nan hmu uh mahpawh, Tedae rhaih koep om vetih kai nan hmuh uh ni,’ tila ka thui dongah he khat neh khat na dawt uh thae.
20 Amen Amen I say to you that you will weep and will lament you yourselves, but the world will rejoice; You yourselves (now *k*) will be grieved, but the grief of you to joy will turn.
21 The woman when she may be giving birth pain has, because has come the hour of her; when however she may bring forth the child, no longer no longer she remembers the tribulation on account of the joy that has been born a man into the world.
Huta loh a tue a pha tih ca a cun vaengah kothaenah a khueh. Tedae camoe te a cun vaengah tah diklai ah hlang a cun te a omngaihnah neh phacip phabaem te poek pawh.
22 Also you yourselves therefore now indeed grief have, again however I will see you and will rejoice your heart, and the joy of you no [one] (do take *NK(o)*) from you,
23 And in that [very] day of Me myself not you will ask no [thing]. Amen Amen I say to you; (that *k*) maybe (whatever *N(k)O*) you may ask the Father in the name of Me He will give to you.
Tekah khohnin ah kai nan dawt uh loengloeng mahpawh. Nangmih taengah rhep rhep ka thui, kai ming neh Pa taengah na bih te tah nangmih m'paek bitni.
24 Until now not you have asked no [thing] in the name of Me; do ask and you will receive, that the joy of you may be filled.
Tahae duela kai ming neh na bih uh te a hong moenih.
25 These things in allegories I have spoken to you; (but *K*) is coming an hour when no longer no longer in allegories I will speak to you but plainly concerning the Father (I will announce *N(k)O*) to you.
Thuidoeknah neh nangmih taengah hekah he ka thui coeng. A tue ha pawk vaengah tah thuidoeknah neh nangmih kam voek voel mahpawh. Tedae pa kawng nangmih taengah sayalh la ka puen bitni.
26 In that [very] day in the name of Me you will ask; and not I say to you that I myself will implore the Father for you;
27 Himself for the Father loves you, because you yourselves Me myself have loved and have believed that I myself from (God *NK(O)*) came forth.
Pa amah loh nangmih n'lungnah te nangmih loh kai nan lungnah tih Pathen lamkah ka suntlak he na tangnah uh dongah ni.
28 I came forth (from with *NK(o)*) the Father and have come into the world; again I leave the world and go to the Father.
“Pa taeng lamkah ka lo tih diklai la kam pha coeng. Diklai te ka hlah vetih pa taengah koep ka cet ni,” a ti nah.
29 Say (to him *k*) the disciples of Him; Behold now (in *no*) openness You speak and allegory no [thing] speak.
A hnukbang rhoek loh, “Sayalh la na thui coeng tih thuidoeknah na thui pawt la he.
30 Now we know that You know all things and not need have that anyone You may ask. In this we believe that from God You came forth.
Boeih na ming dongah u long khaw nang dawt ham pakhat khaw ngoe pawh tila ka ming uh coeng, te nen ni Pathen taeng lamkah na lo te kan tangnah uh,” a ti nah.
31 Answered to them (*k*) Jesus; Now do you believe?
Jesuh loh amih te, “Na tangnah uh pawn a?
32 Behold is coming an hour and (now *k*) has come when you may be scattered each to [his] own and I and I alone you may leave; yet not I am alone, for the Father with Me is.
A tue ha pawk coeng ke, pakhat rhip loh amah amah ah na taekyak uh tih kamah bueng nan hlah uh ham ni ha pawk coeng, Tedae a pa he kai taengah om tih kamah bueng ka om moenih.
33 These things I have spoken to you so that in Me myself peace you may have. In the world tribulation you have; But take courage! I myself have overcome the world.
Kai loh diklai ka noeng coeng,” a ti nah.
