< John 11 >

1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
Alò, yon sèten mesye te malad. Lazare a Béthanie, vilaj kote Marie ak sè li Marthe te rete a.
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
Se te sè Lazare, Marie ki te onksyone Senyè a avèk lwil chè a, epi te siye pye Li avèk cheve li. Se frè li, Lazare, ki te malad.
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
Konsa, sè yo te voye kote Li pou di L: “Senyè, sila ke ou renmen an malad.”
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
Men lè Jésus te tande sa, Li te di: “Maladi sa a se pa a lanmò, men pou glwa Bondye, pou Fis a Lòm nan kapab resevwa glwa de li.”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
Konsa, Jésus te renmen Marthe ak sè li, ak Lazare.
6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
Pou sa, lè L tande ke Li te malad, Li te rete de jou anplis nan plas kote Li te ye a.
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
Apre sa, Li te di a disip Li yo: “Annou ale nan Judée ankò.”
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
Disip Li yo te di Li: “Rabbi, fenk koulye a Jwif yo t ap eseye lapide Ou, epi W ap prale la ankò?”
9 Answered (*k*) Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
Jésus te reponn yo: “Èske pa gen douz è de tan nan yon jounen? Si yon moun mache nan lajounen a li p ap chape tonbe, paske li wè limyè a mond sila a.
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
Men si yon moun mache lannwit, l ap tonbe, paske limyè a pa nan li.”
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
Sa, Li te di, epi apre sa, Li te di yo: “Zanmi nou Lazare gen tan tonbe nan dòmi. Men m ap prale pou M ka fè l leve nan dòmi.”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N(K)O*) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
Konsa, disip Li yo te di L: “Senyè, si li tonbe nan dòmi, l ap refè.”
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
Alò Jésus t ap pale de lanmò Li, men yo te konprann ke Li t ap pale de yon vrè dòmi.
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
Pou sa, Jésus te di yo byen klè: “Lazare gen tan mouri,
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
e pou koz pa nou, Mwen kontan ke M pa t la pou nou kapab kwè. Annou ale kote l.”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
Pou sa, Thomas, ke yo rele osi Didyme, te di disip parèy li yo: “Annou ale avèk Li pou nou kapab mouri avè L.”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
Konsa, lè Jésus te vini, Li te twouve ke Li te deja nan tonm nan depi kat jou.
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
Béthanie te prè Jérusalem. Anviwon twa kilomèt distans.
19 (and *k*) Many (now *no*) of the Jews had come unto (*N(k)O*) (concerning *k*) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k*)
Anpil nan Jwif yo te deja vin kote Marthe ak Marie pou konsole yo konsènan frè yo.
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that (*k*) Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
Pou sa, lè Marthe te tande ke Jésus t ap vini, li te ale rankontre Li. Men Marie te toujou chita nan kay la.
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N(k)O*) the brother of mine.
Konsa, Marthe te di a Jésus: “Senyè, si Ou te la, frè m nan pa t ap mouri.
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
Menm koulye a, mwen konnen ke nenpòt bagay ke Ou mande Bondye, Bondye ap bay Ou li.”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
Jésus te di li: “Frè ou ap leve ankò.”
24 Says to him (*no*) Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Marthe te reponn Li: “Mwen konnen ke li ap leve ankò nan rezirèksyon an nan dènye jou a.”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
Jésus te reponn Li: “Mwen se rezirèksyon an ak lavi a. Moun ki kwè nan Mwen va viv, menm si li mouri.
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn g165)
E tout moun ki viv e kwè nan Mwen, p ap janm mouri. Èske ou kwè sa?” (aiōn g165)
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
Li te di Li: “Wi, Senyè, Mwen gen tan kwè ke Ou se Kris la, Fis a Bondye, menm Li menm ki vini nan mond lan.”
28 And (these things *N(k)O*) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
Lè li te di sa, li te ale, e te rele Marie, sè li, e te di l apa: “Mèt la rive, e L ap mande pou ou.”
29 She (then *no*) when she heard ([she] rose up *N(k)O*) quickly and (was coming *N(k)O*) to Him.
E lè li tande sa, li te leve vit, epi t ap vin kote Li.
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no*) in the place where met with Him Martha.
Jésus poko te rive nan bouk la, men te toujou nan plas kote Marthe te rankontre Li a.
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N(K)O*) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
Jwif yo ki t ap konsole li nan kay la te wè l leve vit e sòti. Epi yo sipoze ke li t ap ale nan tonm nan pou kriye.
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was (*k*) Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N(k)O*) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
Konsa, lè Marie te vini kote Jésus, li te tonbe nan pye Li, e te di L: “Senyè, si Ou te isit la, frè m nan pa t ap mouri.”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
Konsa, lè Jésus te wè l t ap kriye, epi Jwif ki te avè l yo t ap kriye, Li te vrèman etone nan fon lespri Li, e te twouble.
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
Li te di: “Kibò nou mete Li?” Yo te di Li: “Senyè, vin wè.”
35 Wept Jesus.
Jésus te kriye.
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
E Jwif yo t ap di: “Gade kijan Li te renmen l.”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
Men kèk nan yo te di: “Èske nonm sila a ki te louvri zye a sa ki te avèg la, pa t kab anpeche moun sa a mouri osi?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
Pou sa, Jésus, ankò, etone byen fon nan lespri li, te vin bò kote tonm nan. Se te yon kav e yon wòch te apiye sou Li.
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N(k)O*) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
Jésus te di: “Retire wòch la.” Marthe, sè mò a te di Li: “Senyè, pou lè sa, li va santi. Li la depi kat jou.”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
Jésus te di li: “Èske Mwen pa t di ou ke si Ou kwè, ou va wè glwa Bondye?”
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K*) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
Epi konsa, yo te retire wòch la. Jésus te leve zye Li e te di: “Papa, Mwen remèsye Ou ke Ou tande M.
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
Mwen te konnen ke Ou tande M tout tan, men akoz pèp la ki kanpe antoure M, Mwen te di sa, pou yo kapab kwè ke Ou te voye Mwen.”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
Lè L fin te di bagay sa yo, Li te kriye avèk yon gwo vwa: “Lazare, sòti deyò.”
44 (and *k*) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
E sila ki te mouri an te sòti byen mare men ak pye yo avèk twal ki te vlope l, e yon twal ki te vlope figi li. Jésus te di yo: “Demare l epi lage l.”
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK(o)*) He did (Jesus *k*) believed in Him.
Pou sa, anpil nan sa ki te vin kote Marie yo, e ki te wè sa Li te fè a, te kwè nan Li.
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did (*ko*) Jesus.
Men kèk nan yo te ale nan Farizyen yo e te di yo sa ke Jésus te fè a.
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
Konsa, chèf prèt yo avèk Farizyen yo te konvoke yon gran konsèy. Yo t ap di: “Kisa n ap fè, pwiske nonm sila a ap fè anpil sign.”
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
“Si nou kite Li kontinye konsa, tout moun ap kwè nan Li, epi Women yo ap vin pran ni plas nou, ni nasyon nou.”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
Men youn nan yo, Caïphe, ki te granprèt pou lane sila a, te di yo: “Nou pa konnen anyen,
50 nor (consider you *N(k)O*) that it is profitable (for you *N(K)O*) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
ni nou pa kontwole ke li ta meyè pou nou si yon moun ta mouri pou pèp la, pou tout nasyon an pa peri.”
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about (*k*) Jesus to die for the nation,
Alò li pa t di sa pou kont li, men akoz ke li te wo prèt nan lane sa a, li t ap fè pwofesi ke Jésus t ap mouri pou nasyon an.
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
E pa sèlman pou nasyon sila a, men ke Li ta kab ranmase ansanm pou fè yon sèl, tout pitit Bondye ki te gaye a letranje yo.
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N(k)O*) that they may kill Him.
Depi jou sa, yo t ap fè plan pou touye L.
54 (*no*) Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N(k)O*) with the disciples (of him. *k*)
Pou sa, Jésus pa t ankò mache an piblik pami Jwif yo, men te kite la pou ale nan peyi toupre dezè a, nan yon vil yo rele Éphraïm. Li te rete la avèk disip Li yo.
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
Alò, Pak Jwif la te pwòch, epi anpil te kite andwa andeyò yo pou monte nan Jérusalem, pou yo ta kab vin pirifye.
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
Konsa, yo t ap di youn ak lòt pandan yo kanpe nan tanp lan: “Kisa nou panse. Èske Li p ap menm vini nan fèt la?”
57 Had given now (also *k*) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N(K)O*) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
Alò, chèf prèt yo ak Farizyen yo te bay lòd pou si nenpòt moun te konnen kote Li te ye, yo dwe bay rapò pou yo ta kab sezi L.
