Job 14
1 Man that is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble:
௧“பெண்ணிடத்தில் பிறந்த மனிதன் வாழ்நாள் குறுகினவனும் வருத்தம் நிறைந்தவனுமாயிருக்கிறான்.
2 As a flower, he cometh forth—and fadeth, He fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.
௨அவன் பூவைப்போலப் பூத்துமறைந்து போகிறான்; நிழலைப்போல நிலைநிற்காமல் ஓடிப்போகிறான்.
3 And yet upon such a one as this, hast thou opened thine eye? And, him, wouldst thou bring into judgment with thee?
௩ஆகிலும் இப்படிப்பட்டவன்மேல் நீர் உம்முடைய கண்களைத் திறந்துவைத்து, உம்முடைய நியாயத்திற்கு என்னைக் கொண்டுபோவீரோ?
4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one!
௪அசுத்தமானதிலிருந்து சுத்தமானதைப் பிறக்கவைப்பவன் உண்டோ? ஒருவனுமில்லை.
5 If determined am his days, the number of his months, is with thee, Fixed times for him, thou hast appointed and he cannot go beyond.
௫அவனுடைய நாட்கள் இவ்வளவுதான் என்று குறிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதால், அவனுடைய மாதங்களின் எண்ணிக்கை உம்மிடத்தில் இருக்கிறது; அவன் கடந்துபோகமுடியாத எல்லையை அவனுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தினீர்.
6 Look sway from him, that he may rest, Till he shall pay off, as a hireling, his day.
௬அவன் ஒரு கூலிக்காரனைப்போல தன் நாளின் வேலை முடிந்தது என்று நிம்மதியடையும்வரை அவன் ஓய்ந்திருக்க உமது பார்வையை அவனைவிட்டு விலக்கும்.
7 Though there is—for a tree—hope, —if it should be cut down, that, again, it will grow, and, the tender branch thereof, will not cease;
௭ஒரு மரத்தைக்குறித்தாவது நம்பிக்கையுண்டு; அது வெட்டிப்போடப்பட்டாலும் திரும்பத் தழைக்கும், அதின் இளங்கிளைகள் துளிர்க்கும்;
8 If its root, should become old in the earth, and, in the dust, its stock should die:
௮அதின் வேர் தரையிலே பழையதாகி, அதின் அடிக்கட்டை மண்ணிலே செத்தாலும்,
9 Through the scent of water, it may break forth, and produce branches like a sapling,
௯தண்ணீரின் வாசனையினால் அது துளிர்த்து, இளமரம்போலக் கிளைவிடும்.
10 Yet, man, dieth, and is prostrate, Yea the son of earth doth cease to breathe, and where is he?
௧0மனிதனோவென்றால் இறந்தபின் ஒழிந்துபோகிறான், மனிதன் இறந்துபோனபின் அவன் எங்கே?
11 Waters, have failed from, the sea, and, a river, may waste and dry up;
௧௧தண்ணீர் ஏரியிலிருந்து வடிந்து, வெள்ளம் வற்றிக் காய்ந்துபோகிறதுபோல,
12 So, a man, hath lain down, and shall not arise, until there are no heavens, they shall not awake, nor be roused up out of their sleep.
௧௨மனிதன் படுத்துக்கிடக்கிறான், வானங்கள் ஒழிந்துபோகும்வரை எழுந்திருக்கிறதும் இல்லை, தூக்கம் தெளிந்து விழிக்கிறதும் இல்லை.
13 Oh that, in hades, thou wouldst hide me! that thou wouldst keep me secret, until the turn of thine anger, that thou wouldst set for me a fixed time, and remember me: (Sheol h7585)
௧௩நீர் என்னைப் பாதாளத்தில் ஒளித்து, உமது கோபம் தணியும்வரை என்னை மறைத்து, என்னைத் திரும்ப நினைப்பதற்கு எனக்கு ஒரு காலத்தைக் குறித்தால் நலமாயிருக்கும். (Sheol h7585)
14 If a man die, can he live again? All the days of my warfare, would I wait, until my relief should come: —
௧௪மனிதன் இறந்தபின் பிழைப்பானோ? எனக்கு மாறுதல் எப்போது வருமென்று எனக்குக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட போராட்டத்தின் நாளெல்லாம் நான் காத்திருக்கிறேன்.
15 Thou shouldst call, and, I, would answer thee, —For the work of thine own hand, thou shouldst long.
௧௫என்னைக் கூப்பிடும், அப்பொழுது நான் உமக்கு பதில் சொல்லுவேன்; உமது கைகளின் செயல்களின்மேல் விருப்பம் வைப்பீராக.
16 For, now, my steps, thou countest, Thou wilt not pass over my sin:
௧௬இப்பொழுது என் நடைகளை எண்ணுகிறீர்; என் பாவத்தின்மேலல்லவோ கவனமாயிருக்கிறீர்.
17 Sealed up in a bag, is my transgression, and thou hast glued over mine iniquity.
௧௭என் மீறுதல் ஒரே கட்டாகக் கட்டப்பட்டு முத்திரைபோடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, என் அக்கிரமத்தை ஒன்று சேர்த்தீர்.
18 But, in very deed, a mountain falling, will lie prostrate, or, a rock moved out of its place:
௧௮மலைகளெல்லாம் விழுந்து கரைந்துபோகும்; கன்மலை தன் இடத்தைவிட்டுப் பெயர்ந்துபோகும்.
19 Stones, have been hollowed out by waters, the floods thereof wash away the dust of the earth, and, the hope of mortal man, thou hast destroyed:
௧௯தண்ணீர் கற்களைக் குடையும்; பெருவெள்ளம் பூமியின் தூளில் முளைத்ததை மூடும்; அப்படியே மனிதன் கொண்டிருக்கும் நம்பிக்கையை அழிக்கிறீர்.
20 Thou dost overpower him utterly, and he departeth, Disfiguring his face, so, hast thou sent him away.
௨0நீர் என்றைக்கும் அவனைப் பலமாக நெருக்குகிறதினால் அவன் போய்விடுகிறான்; அவனுடைய முகரூபத்தை மாற்றி அவனை அனுப்பிவிடுகிறீர்.
21 His sons, come to honour, and he knoweth it not, Or they are brought low, and he perceiveth it not of them.
௨௧அவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் கனமடைந்தாலும் அவன் உணரமாட்டான்; அவர்கள் சிறுமைப்பட்டாலும் அவர்களைக் கவனிக்கமாட்டான்.
22 But, his flesh, for himself, is in pain, and, his soul, for himself, doth mourn.
௨௨அவனுடைய உடல் அவனிலிருக்கும்வரை அதற்கு வியாதியிருக்கும்; அவனுடைய ஆத்துமா அவனுக்குள்ளிருக்கும்வரை அதற்குத் துக்கமுண்டு” என்றான்.
