1 Chronicles 27

1 Now, the sons of Israel—as to the number of them, the ancestral chiefs—and rulers of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who waited upon the king as to any matter of the courses, who came in and went out month by month, for all the months of the year, in each course, were twenty-four thousand.

2 Over the first course, for the first month, was Jashobeam, son of Zabdiel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Msimamizi wa kikosi cha kwanza kwa mwezi wa kwanza alikuwa Yashobeamu mwana wa Zabdieli. Kulikuwa na watu 24,000 katika kikosi chake.

3 Of the sons of Perez, was the chief for all the rulers of the hosts, for the first month.

Yeye alikuwa mzao wa Peresi, na mkuu wa maafisa wote wa jeshi kwa mwezi wa kwanza.

4 And, over the course for the second month, was Dodai an Ahohite, and, of his course, was Mikloth also a chief ruler, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Msimamizi wa kikosi kwa mwezi wa pili alikuwa Dodai Mwahohi. Miklothi ndiye alikuwa kiongozi wa kikosi chake. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

5 The ruler of the third host, for the third month, was Benaiah, son of Jehoiada the priest—a chief, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa kikosi cha tatu kwa mwezi wa tatu alikuwa Benaya mwana wa kuhani Yehoyada. Ndiye alikuwa mkuu wa kikosi chake kilichokuwa na watu 24,000.

6 The same Benaiah, was a hero of thirty, and over the thirty, —and, over his course, was Ammizabad his son.

Huyu ndiye yule Benaya aliyekuwa shujaa miongoni mwa wale Thelathini na ndiye alikuwa juu yao hao Thelathini. Mwanawe Amizabadi ndiye alikuwa mkuu katika kikosi chake.

7 The fourth, for the fourth month, was Asahel, brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son, after him, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa nne kwa mwezi wa nne alikuwa Asaheli nduguye Yoabu, mwanawe Zebadia ndiye aliingia mahali pake kwenye uongozi. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

8 Of the fifth, for the fifth month, the ruler, was Shamhuth the Izrahite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa kikosi cha tano kwa mwezi wa tano alikuwa Shamhuthi Mwizrahi. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

9 The sixth, for the sixth month, was Ira son of Ikkesh, the Tekoite, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa kikosi cha sita kwa mwezi wa sita alikuwa Ira, mwana wa Ikeshi Mtekoa. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

10 The seventh, for the seventh month, was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa kikosi cha saba kwa mwezi wa saba alikuwa Helesi Mpeloni wa Waefraimu. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

11 The eighth, for the eighth month, was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa nane kwa mwezi wa nane, alikuwa Sibekai Mhushathi wa Wazera. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

12 The ninth, for the ninth month, was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa tisa kwa mwezi wa tisa alikuwa Abiezeri Mwanathothi wa Wabenyamini. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

13 The tenth, for the tenth month, was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

Jemadari wa kumi kwa mwezi wa kumi alikuwa Maharai Mnetofathi wa Wazera. Kikosi chake kilikuwa na watu 24,000.

14 The eleventh, for the eleventh month, was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the sons of Ephraim, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

15 The twelfth, for the twelfth month, was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel, —and, in his course, were twenty-four thousand.

16 Furthermore, over the tribes of Israel, the chief ruler of the Reubenites, was Eliezer, son of Zichri. Of the Simeonites, Shephatiah, son of Maacah.

21 Of the half of Manasseh, in Gilead, Iddo, son of Zechariah. Of Benjamin, Jaasiel, son of Abner.

22 Of Dan, Azarel, son of Jeroham. These, were the rulers of the tribes of Israel.

23 But David took not the number of them, from twenty years old, and under, —because Yahweh had said, he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.

Daudi hakuwahesabu watu waliokuwa chini ya miaka ishirini, kwa sababu Bwana alikuwa ameahidi kuwafanya Israeli kuwa wengi kama nyota za angani.

24 Joab son of Zeruiah, began to number, but finished not, when there arose, on this account, indignation against Israel, —neither did the number come up into the account of the chronicles of King David.

Yoabu mwana wa Seruya alianza kuwahesabu watu lakini hakumaliza. Kwa sababu ya kuwahesabu watu, hasira ya Mungu iliwaka juu ya Israeli, nayo hiyo hesabu yao haikuingizwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za Mfalme Daudi.

25 And, over the treasuries of the king, was Azmaveth, son of Adiel. And, over the treasuries in the fields, in the cities, in the villages and in the castles, was Jonathan, son of Uzziah;

Azmawethi mwana wa Adieli ndiye alikuwa msimamizi wa hazina za mfalme. Msimamizi wa hazina katika mashamba, miji, vijiji na kwenye ngome alikuwa Yonathani mwana wa Uzia.

26 And, over the workers of the field, for the tillage of the ground, was Ezri, son of Chelub.

Ezri mwana wa Kelubu alikuwa msimamizi wa wafanyakazi waliolima katika mashamba.

27 And, over the vineyards, was Shimei, the Ramathite. And, over that which was in the vineyards, for the treasuries of wine, was Zabdi, the Shiphmite.

Shimei Mramathi alikuwa msimamizi wa mashamba ya mizabibu. Zabdi Mshifmi alikuwa msimamizi wa zabibu, utengenezaji na uhifadhi wa divai katika mapipa makubwa.

28 And, over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowland, was Baal-hanan the Gederite. And, over the treasuries of oil, was Joash.

Baal-Hanani Mgederi ndiye alikuwa mwangalizi wa mashamba ya mfalme ya mizeituni na mikuyu katika tambarare za vilima vya magharibi. Yoashi alikuwa msimamizi wa ghala za mafuta ya zeituni.

29 And, over the herds that pastured in Sharon, was Shitrai, the Sharonite. And, over the herds in the vales, Shaphat, son of Adlai.

Shitrai Msharoni alikuwa msimamizi wa makundi ya ngʼombe waliojilisha huko Sharoni. Shafati mwana wa Adlai alikuwa msimamizi wa yale makundi ya ngʼombe yaliyokuwa makondeni.

30 And, over the camels, was Obil, the Ishmaelite. And, over the asses, was Jehdeyahu the Meronothite.

Obili Mwishmaeli alikuwa msimamizi wa ngamia. Yedeya Mmeronothi alikuwa msimamizi wa punda.

31 And, over the flocks, was Jaziz, the Hagrite. All these, were rulers over the possessions that belonged to King David.

Yazizi Mhagri alikuwa msimamizi wa makundi ya kondoo na mbuzi. Hawa wote ndio waliokuwa maafisa wasimamizi wa mali alizokuwa nazo Mfalme Daudi.

32 And, Jonathan the relative of David, was a counsellor, a man of understanding and a scribe, was he. And, Jehiel son of Hachmoni, was with the sons of the king.

Yonathani mjomba wa Daudi alikuwa mshauri, mtu mwenye ufahamu mkubwa na mwandishi. Yehieli mwana wa Hakmoni alikuwa akiwahudumia wana wa mfalme.

33 And, Ahitophel, was counsellor to the king. And, Hushai the Archite, was the companion of the king.

Ahithofeli alikuwa mshauri wa mfalme. Hushai Mwariki alikuwa rafiki wa mfalme.

34 And, after Ahitophel, was Jehoiada son of Benaiah—and Abiathar. And, the captain of the king’s army, was Joab.

Baada ya Ahithofeli, Yehoyada mwana wa Benaya aliingia mahali pake kama mshauri wa mfalme pamoja na Abiathari. Yoabu alikuwa ndiye jemadari wa majeshi ya mfalme.
