Psalms 145
1 [A Psalm of] praise; of David. I will extol thee, my God, O King; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
Povzdigoval te bom, moj Bog, oh kralj in tvoje ime bom blagoslavljal na veke vekov.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Vsak dan te bom blagoslavljal in tvoje ime bom hvalil na veke vekov.
3 Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
Velik je Gospod in silno bodi hvaljen in njegova veličina je nedoumljiva.
4 One generation shall laud thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
En rod bo hvalil tvoja dela drugemu in bo oznanjal tvoja mogočna dela.
5 Of the glorious majesty of thine honour, and of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.
Govoril bom o veličastni časti tvojega veličanstva in o tvojih čudovitih delih.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; and I will declare thy greatness.
Ljudje bodo govorili o moči tvojih strašnih dejanj; in jaz bom oznanjal tvojo veličino.
7 They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
Obilno bodo izrekli spomin o tvoji veliki dobroti in prepevali bodo o tvoji pravičnosti.
8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Gospod je milostljiv in poln sočutja, počasen za jezo in zelo usmiljen.
9 The LORD is good to all; and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Gospod je dober do vseh in njegova nežna usmiljenja so nad vsemi njegovimi deli.
10 All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
Hvalila te bodo vsa tvoja dela, oh Gospod in tvoji sveti te bodo blagoslavljali.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
Pogovarjali se bodo o slavi tvojega kraljestva in govorili o tvoji moči,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.
da razglašajo njegova mogočna dela človeškim sinovom in slavno veličanstvo njegovega kraljestva.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations.
Tvoje kraljestvo je večno kraljestvo in tvoje gospostvo traja skozi vse rodove.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.
Gospod podpira vse, ki padejo in dviguje vse tiste, ki so sklonjeni.
15 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.
Oči vseh čakajo nate in ti jim daješ njihovo hrano v pravšnjem obdobju.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
Odpiraš svojo roko in zadovoljuješ željo vsake žive stvari.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.
Gospod je pravičen na vseh svojih poteh in svet v vseh svojih delih.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Gospod je blizu vsem tem, ki kličejo k njemu, vsem, ki k njemu kličejo v resnici.
19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him; he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Izpolnil bo željo tistih, ki se ga bojijo. Slišal bo tudi njihov jok in jih bo rešil.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him; but all the wicked will he destroy.
Gospod varuje vse tiste, ki ga ljubijo, toda vse zlobne bo uničil.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Moja usta bodo govorila Gospodovo hvalo in vse meso naj blagoslavlja njegovo sveto ime na veke vekov.
