Proverbs 20
1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler; and whosoever erreth thereby is not wise.
Винул есте батжокоритор, бэутуриле тарь сунт гэлэӂиоасе; орьчине се ымбатэ ку еле ну есте ынцелепт.
2 The terror of a king is as the roaring of a lion: he that provoketh him to anger sinneth [against] his own life.
Фрика пе каре о инсуфлэ ымпэратул есте ка рэкнетул унуй леу; чине ыл супэрэ пэкэтуеште ымпотрива са ынсушь.
3 It is an honour for a man to keep aloof from strife: but every fool will be quarrelling.
Есте о чинсте пентру ом сэ се феряскэ де чертурь; дар орьче небун се ласэ стэпынит де априндере.
4 The slothful will not plow by reason of the winter; therefore he shall beg in harvest, and have nothing.
Тоамна, ленешул ну арэ; ла сечерат, ар вря сэ стрынгэ роаде, дар ну есте нимик!
5 Counsel in the heart of man is [like] deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Сфатуриле ын инима омулуй сунт ка ниште апе адынчь, дар омул причепут штие сэ скоатэ дин еле.
6 Most men wilt proclaim every one his own kindness: but a faithful man who can find?
Мулць оамень ышь трымбицязэ бунэтатя; дар чине поате гэси ун ом крединчос?
7 A just man that walketh in his integrity, blessed are his children after him.
Чел неприхэнит умблэ ын неприхэниря луй; фериче де копиий луй дупэ ел!
8 A king that sitteth on the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes.
Ымпэратул каре шаде пе скаунул де домние ал дрептэций рисипеште орьче рэу ку привиря луй.
9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?
Чине поате зиче: „Мь-ам курэцит инима, сунт курат де пэкатул меу”?
10 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.
Доуэ фелурь де греутэць ши доуэ фелурь де мэсурь сунт о скырбэ ынаинтя Домнулуй.
11 Even a child maketh himself known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Копилул ласэ сэ се вадэ ынкэ дин фаптеле луй дакэ пуртаря луй ва фи куратэ ши фэрэ приханэ.
12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.
Урекя каре ауде ши окюл каре веде, ши пе уна, ши пе челэлалт, Домнул ле-а фэкут.
13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Ну юби сомнул, кэч вей ажунӂе сэрак; дескиде окий ши те вей сэтура де пыне!
14 It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
„Рэу! Рэу!” зиче кумпэрэторул ши, плекынд, се феричеште.
15 There is gold, and abundance of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
Есте аур ши сунт мулте мэргэритаре; дар бузеле ынцелепте сунт ун лукру скумп.
16 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger; and hold him in pledge [that is surety] for strangers.
Я-й хайна, кэч с-а пус кезаш пентру алтул; ши цине-л зэлог пентру алций!
17 Bread of falsehood is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.
Пыня минчуний есте дулче омулуй, дар май пе урмэ гура ый есте плинэ де петриш.
18 Every purpose is established by counsel: and by wise guidance make thou war,
Плануриле се пун ла кале прин сфат. Фэ рэзбоюл ку кибзуинцэ!
19 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that openeth wide his lips.
Чине умблэ ку бырфель дэ пе фацэ лукруриле аскунсе, ши ку чел че ну-шь поате цине гура сэ ну те аместечь.
20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in the blackest darkness.
Дакэ чинева блестемэ пе татэл сэу ши пе мама са, и се ва стинӂе лумина ын мижлокул ынтунерикулуй.
21 An inheritance [may be] gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.
О моштенире репеде кыштигатэ де ла ынчепут ну ва фи бинекувынтатэ ла сфыршит.
22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil: wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
Ну зиче: „Ый вой ынтоарче еу рэул!” Нэдэждуеште ын Домнул, ши Ел те ва ажута.
23 Divers weights are an abomination to the LORD; and a false balance is not good.
Домнул урэште доуэ фелурь де греутэць, ши кынтарул минчинос ну есте ун лукру бун.
24 A man’s goings are of the LORD; how then can man understand his way?
Домнул ындряптэ паший омулуй, дар че ынцелеӂе омул дин каля са?
25 It is a snare to a man rashly to say, [It is] holy, and after vows to make inquiry.
Есте о курсэ пентру ом сэ факэ ын припэ о фэгэдуинцэ сфынтэ ши, абя дупэ че а фэкут журуинца, сэ се гындяскэ.
26 A wise king winnoweth the wicked, and bringeth the [threshing] wheel over them.
Ун ымпэрат ынцелепт вынтурэ пе чей рэй ши трече ку роата песте ей.
27 The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the innermost parts of the belly.
Суфларя омулуй есте о луминэ а Домнулуй, каре пэтрунде пынэ ын фундул мэрунтаелор.
28 Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.
Бунэтатя ши крединчошия пэзеск пе ымпэрат, ши ел ышь ынтэреште скаунул де домние прин бунэтате.
29 The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the hoary head.
Слава тинерилор есте тэрия, дар подоаба бэтрынилор сунт перий албь.
30 Stripes that wound cleanse away evil: and strokes [reach] the innermost parts of the belly.
Мижлоачеле де виндекаре пентру чел рэу сунт бэтэиле ши вынэтэиле пынэ ла ранэ.
