Mark 3
1 And he entered again into a synagogue; and there was a man there having a withered hand;
Jésus entra une autre fois dans la synagogue; or il s’y trouvait un homme qui avait une main desséchée.
2 and they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him.
Et on l’observait pour voir s’il le guérirait un jour de sabbat, afin de l’accuser.
3 And he saith to the man having the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
Et il dit à l’homme qui avait la main desséchée: Lève-toi, là, au milieu.
4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they were silent.
Puis il demanda aux autres: Est-il permis, un jour de sabbat, de faire du bien ou du mal, de sauver une âme ou de la perdre? Mais eux gardaient le silence.
5 And looking round on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
Alors les regardant avec colère, et contristé de l’aveuglement de leur cœur, il dit à cet homme: Étends ta main. Il l’étendit, et sa main devint saine.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and immediately had a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Or les pharisiens étant sortis, tinrent aussitôt conseil contre lui avec les hérodiens, comment ils le perdraient.
7 And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake; and a great multitude from Galilee, and from Judaea followed;
Mais Jésus se retira avec ses disciples vers la mer, et une troupe nombreuse le suivit de la Galilée et de la Judée,
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond the Jordan, and the people about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard what great things he was doing, came to him.
De Jérusalem, de l’Idumée, et d’au-delà du Jourdain; et une grande multitude des environs de Tyr et de Sidon, apprenant ce qu’il faisait, vint à lui.
9 And he gave direction to his disciples, that a boat should be in readiness for him because of the multitude, that they might not throng him.
Il dit alors à ses disciples de lui amener une barque, à cause de la foule, de peur qu’il n’en fût accablé
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.
Car il en guérissait beaucoup, de sorte que tous ceux qui avaient quelque mal se jetaient sur lui pour le toucher.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Les esprits impurs eux-mêmes, lorsqu’ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui et criaient, disant;
12 And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.
Vous êtes le Fils de Dieu. Mais il leur défendait avec de grandes menaces de le révéler.
13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth to him whom he would; and they came to him.
Étant monté sur la montagne, il appela à lui ceux que lui-même voulut; et ils vinrent à lui.
14 And he appointed twelve to be with him, and whom he might send forth to preach,
Il en établit douze pour être avec lui et pour les envoyer prêcher,
15 and to have authority to cast out demons. And he appointed the twelve,
Et il leur donna le pouvoir de guérir les maladies et de chasser les démons:
16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;
D’abord Simon à qui il donna le nom de Pierre;
17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, that is, Sons of thunder;
Puis Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean son frère, auxquels il donna le nom de Boanergès, c’est-à-dire fils du tonnerre;
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon of Cana,
André, Philippe, Barthélemi, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques fils d’Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Cananéen,
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. And he cometh into the house.
Et Judas Iscariote, celui-là même qui le trahit.
20 And again a multitude cometh together, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
Ils vinrent dans une maison, et la foule s’y assembla de nouveau, en sorte qu’ils ne pouvaient pas même manger du pain.
21 And his relations hearing of it went out to lay hold of him; for they said, He is beside himself.
Ce qu’ayant appris, les siens vinrent pour se saisir de lui, car ils disaient: Il a perdu l’esprit.
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebul; and, He casteth out the demons through the prince of the demons.
Et les scribes, qui étaient venus de Jérusalem, disaient: Il est possédé de Béelzébub, et c’est par le prince des démons qu’il chasse les démons.
23 And calling them to him, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?
Mais Jésus les ayant appelés, leur disait en paraboles: Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne peut subsister.
25 and if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand;
Et si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne peut subsister.
26 and if Satan rise up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.
Si donc Satan s’est élevé contre lui-même, il est divisé, et il ne pourra subsister; mais il touche à sa fin.
27 Moreover, no one can enter into a strong man's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
Nul ne peut entrer dans la maison du fort et ravir ce qu’il possède, s’il ne l’a lié auparavant; c’est alors qu’il pillera sa maison.
28 Truly do I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme;
En vérité je vous le dis, tous les péchés seront remis aux enfants des hommes, même les blasphèmes par lesquels ils auront blasphémé.
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Parce qu’ils disaient: Il est possédé d’un esprit impur.
31 And his mother and his brothers came; and, standing without, sent to him, to call him.
Cependant sa mère et ses frères vinrent; et, se tenant dehors, ils l’envoyèrent appeler.
32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brothers and thy sisters are without, seeking for thee.
Or la foule était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: Voilà dehors votre mère et vos frères qui vous cherchent.
33 And he answering saith to them, Who is my mother, and my brothers?
Et leur répondant, il dit: Qui est ma mère, et qui sont mes frères?
34 And looking round on those who sat about him, he saith, Behold my mother and my brothers.
Et, regardant ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui: Voici, dit-il, ma mère et mes frères,
35 Whoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Car quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu, celui-là est mon frère, et ma sœur, et ma mère.
