Mark 3
1 And he entered again into a synagogue; and there was a man there having a withered hand;
Il entra de nouveau dans la synagogue, où se trouvait un homme dont la main était desséchée.
2 and they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him.
Ils le surveillaient, pour savoir s'il allait le guérir le jour du sabbat, afin de l'accuser.
3 And he saith to the man having the withered hand, Stand up in the midst.
Il dit à l'homme dont la main était desséchée: « Lève-toi. »
4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they were silent.
Il leur dit: « Est-il permis, le jour du sabbat, de faire du bien ou de faire du mal? De sauver une vie ou de tuer? » Mais ils gardèrent le silence.
5 And looking round on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored.
Après les avoir regardés avec colère, attristé par l'endurcissement de leur cœur, il dit à l'homme: « Étends ta main. » Il l'étendit, et sa main fut rendue aussi saine que l'autre.
6 And the Pharisees went forth, and immediately had a consultation with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Les pharisiens sortirent, et aussitôt ils conspirèrent avec les hérodiens contre lui, afin de le faire périr.
7 And Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake; and a great multitude from Galilee, and from Judaea followed;
Jésus se retira vers la mer avec ses disciples. Une grande foule le suivit, venant de la Galilée, de la Judée,
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond the Jordan, and the people about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they heard what great things he was doing, came to him.
de Jérusalem, de l'Idumée, au-delà du Jourdain, et des environs de Tyr et de Sidon. Une grande foule, apprenant quelles grandes choses il faisait, vint à lui.
9 And he gave direction to his disciples, that a boat should be in readiness for him because of the multitude, that they might not throng him.
Il dit à ses disciples de laisser une petite barque près de lui, à cause de la foule, afin qu'elle ne le presse pas.
10 For he had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed upon him to touch him.
Car il avait guéri beaucoup de gens, de sorte que tous ceux qui avaient des maladies se pressaient contre lui pour le toucher.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried out, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
Les esprits impurs, dès qu'ils le voyaient, se prosternaient devant lui et s'écriaient: « Tu es le Fils de Dieu! »
12 And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.
Il leur recommanda sévèrement de ne pas le faire connaître.
13 And he goeth up into the mountain, and calleth to him whom he would; and they came to him.
Il monta sur la montagne, appela à lui ceux qu'il voulait, et ils allèrent à lui.
14 And he appointed twelve to be with him, and whom he might send forth to preach,
Il en établit douze, afin qu'ils fussent avec lui, et qu'il les envoyât prêcher
15 and to have authority to cast out demons. And he appointed the twelve,
et avoir le pouvoir de guérir les maladies et de chasser les démons:
16 and Simon he surnamed Peter;
Simon, à qui il donna le nom de Pierre;
17 and James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, that is, Sons of thunder;
Jacques, fils de Zébédée, et Jean, frère de Jacques, qu'il appela Boanerges, ce qui signifie Fils du tonnerre;
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon of Cana,
André, Philippe, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques, fils d'Alphée, Thaddée, Simon le Zélote;
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him. And he cometh into the house.
et Judas Iscariote, qui le livra aussi. Puis il entra dans une maison.
20 And again a multitude cometh together, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
La foule se rassembla de nouveau, de sorte qu'elle ne put même pas manger du pain.
21 And his relations hearing of it went out to lay hold of him; for they said, He is beside himself.
Ses amis, l'ayant appris, se mirent à le saisir, car ils disaient: « Il est fou. »
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebul; and, He casteth out the demons through the prince of the demons.
Les scribes qui descendaient de Jérusalem disaient: « Il a Béelzébul, » et: « C'est par le prince des démons qu'il chasse les démons. »
23 And calling them to him, he said to them in parables: How can Satan cast out Satan?
Il les convoqua et leur dit en paraboles: Comment Satan peut-il chasser Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand;
Si un royaume est divisé contre lui-même, ce royaume ne peut subsister.
25 and if a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand;
Si une maison est divisée contre elle-même, cette maison ne peut subsister.
26 and if Satan rise up against himself, he is divided, and cannot stand, but hath an end.
Si Satan s'est élevé contre lui-même, et s'il est divisé, il ne peut subsister, mais il a une fin.
27 Moreover, no one can enter into a strong man's house, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man; and then he will plunder his house.
Mais nul ne peut entrer dans la maison de l'homme fort pour piller, s'il ne lie d'abord l'homme fort; alors il pillera sa maison.
28 Truly do I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies wherewith they shall blaspheme;
« En vérité, je vous le dis, tous les péchés des descendants de l'homme seront pardonnés, y compris leurs blasphèmes;
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
-parce qu'ils disaient: « Il a un esprit impur. »
31 And his mother and his brothers came; and, standing without, sent to him, to call him.
Sa mère et ses frères arrivèrent, et, se tenant dehors, ils l'envoyèrent chercher.
32 And a multitude was sitting about him; and they say to him, Lo! thy mother and thy brothers and thy sisters are without, seeking for thee.
Une foule était assise autour de lui, et on lui dit: « Voici ta mère, tes frères et tes sœurs qui te cherchent dehors. »
33 And he answering saith to them, Who is my mother, and my brothers?
Il leur répondit: « Qui sont ma mère et mes frères? »
34 And looking round on those who sat about him, he saith, Behold my mother and my brothers.
Regardant ceux qui étaient assis autour de lui, il dit: « Voici ma mère et mes frères!
35 Whoever shall do the will of God, he is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Car quiconque fait la volonté de Dieu est mon frère, ma sœur et ma mère. »
