Luke 5
1 And it came to pass, as the multitude was pressing upon him and hearing the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret,
І сталось, як народ товпивсь до Него слухати слово Боже, Він стояв коло озера Генисарецького.
2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone out of them, and had washed the nets.
І побачив два човни, що стояли край озера, рибалки ж, одійшовши від них, полоскали неводи.
3 And going into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And sitting down in the boat, he taught the multitudes.
Ввійшовши ж ув один з човнів, що був Симонів, просив його від землі відчалити трохи. І сівши, навчав народ із човна.
4 And when he had done speaking, he said to Simon, Put out into deep water, and let down your nets for a draught.
Як же перестав глаголати, рече до Симона: Поступи на глибінь, та закиньте неводи ваші на ловитву.
5 And Simon answering said, Master, we toiled all night, and took nothing; but at thy word I will let down the nets.
І озвавшись Симон, каже Йому: Наставниче, всю ніч трудившись, нїчого не піймали ми; тільки ж, по слову Твоєму, закину невода.
6 And having done this, they inclosed great multitude of fishes; and their nets began to break.
І, се зробивши, вловили пребагато риби; роздер ся ж невід їх,
7 And they beckoned to their partners in the other boat, to come and help them; and they came, and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
і махнули вони на товаришів своїх, що були в другому човні, щоб прийшли помогти їм. І прийшли вони, й сповнили обидва човни, так що потопали вони.
8 And Simon Peter seeing it fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying, Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.
Бачивши ж Симон Петр, припав до колїн Ісусових, кажучи: Йди від мене: бо я чоловік грішний. Господи.
9 For he and all that were with him were amazed at the draught of fishes, which they had taken;
Страх бо обняв його і всіх із ним од улову риби, що вловили.
10 and so were also James and John the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; henceforth thou shalt catch men.
Так само й Якова і Йоана, синів Зеведеєвих, що були спільниками Симоновими. І рече до Симона Ісус: Не лякай ся, від нині людей ловити меш.
11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.
І пригнавши вони човни свої до берега, та покинувши все, пійшли слідом за Ним.
12 And it came to pass, when he was in one of the cities, lo! a man full of leprosy; and seeing Jesus, he fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst cleanse me.
І сталось, як був Він ув однім городі, аж ось чоловік увесь у проказі. І, побачивши Ісуса, упавши на лице, благав Його, кажучи; Господи, коли хочеш, можеш мене очистити.
13 And he put forth his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be thou cleansed. And immediately the leprosy left him.
І простягши Він руку, приторкнувсь до него, глаголючи: Хочу, очистись. І зараз проказа покинула його.
14 And he charged him to tell no one: but go, and show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing as Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
І наказав Він йому нікому не говорити, а, пійшовши, покажи себе священикові та принеси за очищеннє твоє, як звелїв Мойсей, на сьвідкуваннє їм.
15 But so much the more went abroad the report concerning him; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed of their infirmities.
Та слово про Него розійшлось тим більш, і насходилось народу пребагато слухати й сцїлятись у Него від недуг своїх.
16 But he was wont to withdraw to desert places, and pray.
Він же виходив у пустиню та молив ся.
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, that he was teaching, and there were sitting by Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every town of Galilee and Judea, and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present that he might heal.
І сталось одного дня, що Він учив, і сиділи Фарисеї та учителї закону, що; поприходили з усіх сїл Галилейських та Юдейських і з Єрусалиму, й сила Господня була на сцїленнє їх.
18 And lo! men brought on a bed a man that was palsied; and they endeavored to bring him in, and to set him before him.
І ось мужі принесли на постелї чоловіка, що був розслаблений, і шукали, як би внести його та положити перед Ним.
19 And not finding any way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the house-top, and let him down through the tiling with the couch into the midst before Jesus.
І, не знайшовши, як би внести його кріз натовп, вилїзли на хату, й кріз черепяну стелю спустили його з постїллю в середину перед Ісуса.
20 And seeing their faith, he said, Man, thy sins have been forgiven thee.
І, бачивши віру їх, рече йому: Чоловіче, оставляють ся тобі гріхи твої.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?
І почали міркувати письменники та Фарисеї, кажучи: Хто сей, що говорить хулу? Хто може оставляти гріхи, як тільки один Бог?
22 But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered and said to them, What are ye thinking in your hearts?
Постерігши ж Ісус думки їх і озвавшись, рече до них: Що ви говорите в серцях ваших?
23 Which is easier? to say, Thy sins have been forgiven thee? or to say, Arise, and walk?
Що легше? сказати: Оставляють ся тобі гріхи твої; або сказати: Встань та й ходи?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins, —he said to the palsied man, —I say to thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go to thy house.
От же, щоб знали ви, що власть має Син чоловічий на землі оставляти гріхи, розслабленому: Тобі глаголю: Устань, і, взявши постїль твою, йди до дому твого.
25 And he immediately rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and went away to his house, giving glory to God.
І зараз уставши перед ними й узявши на чому лежав, пійшов до дому свого, прославляючи Бога.
26 And amazement seized them all, and they gave glory to God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to-day.
І острах обняв усїх, і прославляли Бога, й сповнили ся страхом, кажучи: Що бачили предивне сьогодні.
27 And after these things he went out, and saw a publican named Levi, sitting at the custom-house; and he said to him, Follow me.
А після сього вийшов, і побачив митника на ймя Левію, сидячого на митниці, і рече йому: Йди слідом за мною.
28 And leaving everything, he arose and followed him.
І, зоставивши все, уставши пійшов слїдом за Ним.
29 And Levi made a great feast for him at his house, and there was a great company of publicans and others, who were reclining at table with them.
і справив гостину велику Левій Йому у господі своїй, і було там багато митників і инших, що свдїли з ними.
30 And the Pharisees and their scribes murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with the publicans and sinners?
І нарікали письменники їх та Фарисеї на учеників Його, кажучи: На що з митниками та грішниками їсте й пете?
31 And Jesus answering said to them, They who are well do not need a physician, but they who are sick.
І озвавшись Ісус, рече до них: Не треба здоровому лікаря, а недужому.
32 I have not come to call righteous men, but sinners to repentance.
Не прийшов я кликати праведників, а грішників до покаяння.
33 And they said to him, The disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise those of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink.
Вони, ж казали до Него: Чого ж ученики Йоанові постять часто й молять ся, так само й Фарисейські, Твої ж їдять і пють?
34 But Jesus said to them, Can ye make the companions of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them?
Він же рече до них: Чи зможете синів весільних, поки жених з ними, заставити постити?
35 But the days will come—and when the bridegroom is taken from them, then will they fast in those days.
Прийдуть же днї, що візьмуть жениха від них, тоді постити муть у ті дні.
36 And he spoke also a parable to them: No one taketh a patch from a new garment and putteth it upon an old one; for then both the new garment would be rent, and the patch from the new garment would not match with the old.
Сказав же й приповість до них; Що ніхто латки з одежини нової не пришиває до одежини старої; коли ж нї, то й нову розідре, й старій не личить латка з нового.
37 And no one putteth new wine into old skins; for the new wine would burst the skins, and would itself run out, and the skins would be spoilt.
І ніхто не наливав вина нового в бурдюки старі; коли ж ні, порве нове вино бурдюки, й вино витече, й бурдюки пропадуть.
38 But new wine must be put into new skins.
А вино нове в бурдюки нові наливають, то й буде все ціле.
39 And no one, having drunk old wine, desireth new; for he saith, The old is good.
Ніхто, пивши старе, не бажав зараз нового; каже бо: Старе лучче.
