John 2
1 And on the third day there was a marriage-feast in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
൧മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഗലീലയിലെ കാനായിൽ ഒരു കല്യാണം ഉണ്ടായി; യേശുവിന്‍റെ അമ്മ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
2 And both Jesus and his disciples were invited to the feast.
൨യേശുവിനേയും ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും കല്യാണത്തിന് ക്ഷണിച്ചിരുന്നു.
3 And they had no wine, because the wine of the feast had failed. Then the mother of Jesus saith to him, There is no wine.
൩വീഞ്ഞ് തീർന്നുപോയപ്പോൾ യേശുവിന്‍റെ അമ്മ അവനോട്: “അവർക്ക് വീഞ്ഞ് ഇല്ല“എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? My hour is not yet come.
൪അതിന് യേശു: സ്ത്രീയേ, അതിന് ഞാനുമായിട്ട് എന്ത് കാര്യം? എന്‍റെ നാഴിക ഇതുവരെ വന്നിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.
൫അവന്‍റെ അമ്മ വേലക്കാരോട്: “അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുവിൻ“എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
6 Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, in conformity with the Jews' custom of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.
൬അവിടെ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ശുദ്ധീകരണ ആചാരം അനുസരിച്ച് രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ പറ വീതം കൊള്ളുന്ന ആറു കല്പാത്രം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
൭യേശു അവരോട്: ഈ കല്പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ വെള്ളം നിറപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവയെ വക്കോളവും നിറച്ചു.
8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear it to the master of the feast. And they bore it.
൮ഇപ്പോൾ കുറച്ച് കോരിയെടുത്ത് കലവറക്കാരനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊടുക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു.
9 But when the master of the feast tasted the water that had been made wine, not knowing whence it was, but the servants who drew the water knew, he called the bridegroom
൯അത് എവിടെനിന്ന് എന്നു വെള്ളം കോരിയ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരല്ലാതെ കലവറക്കാരൻ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല. വീഞ്ഞായിത്തീർന്ന വെള്ളം കലവറക്കാരൻ രുചിനോക്കിയതിനുശേഷം മണവാളനെ വിളിച്ചു:
10 and said to him, Every man setteth on the good wine first, and when men have drunk freely, that which is worse. Thou hast kept the good wine until now.
൧൦“എല്ലാവരും ആദ്യം നല്ല വീഞ്ഞും ലഹരി പിടിച്ചശേഷം ഇളപ്പമായതും കൊടുക്കാറുണ്ട്; നീ നല്ല വീഞ്ഞ് ഇതുവരെയും സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചുവല്ലോ“എന്നു അവനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
11 This beginning of the signs Jesus made in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.
൧൧യേശു ഇതിനെ അടയാളങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭമായി ഗലീലയിലെ കാനയിൽവച്ച് ചെയ്തു തന്‍റെ മഹത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി; അവന്‍റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they abode there not many days.
൧൨അനന്തരം അവനും അവന്‍റെ അമ്മയും സഹോദരന്മാരും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കഫർന്നഹൂമിലേക്കു പോയി; അവിടെ അവർ ചുരുക്കംനാൾ താമസിച്ചു.
13 And the passover of the Jews was near; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
൧൩യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ പെസഹ സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോയി.
14 And he found in the temple those who sold oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting.
൧൪ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കാളകൾ, ആടുകൾ, പ്രാവുകൾ എന്നിവയെ വില്ക്കുന്നതും, നാണയമാറ്റക്കാർ അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടിട്ട്
15 And having made a scourge of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and poured out the money of the exchangers, and overthrew the tables;
൧൫കയറുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു ചമ്മട്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കി അവരെല്ലാവരെയും, ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയുംകൂടെ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കി; നാണയമാറ്റക്കാരുടെ നാണയങ്ങൾ ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; മേശകളെ മറിച്ചിട്ടു;
16 and said to those who sold the doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
൧൬പ്രാവുകളെ വില്ക്കുന്നവരോട്: ഇതു ഇവിടെനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ; എന്‍റെ പിതാവിന്‍റെ ആലയത്തെ കച്ചവടസ്ഥലം ആക്കുന്നത് നിർത്തുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for thy house will consume me.”
൧൭അപ്പോൾ അവന്‍റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ: “അങ്ങേയുടെ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള എരിവ് എന്നെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു“എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് ഓർത്തു.
18 The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign dost thou show us, seeing thou doest these things?
൧൮എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോട്: “നിനക്കു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യാം എന്നതിന് നീ എന്ത് അടയാളം കാണിച്ചുതരും?“എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
19 Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
൧൯യേശു അവരോട്: ഈ മന്ദിരം തകർക്കുവിൻ; മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിനകം ഞാൻ അതിനെ ഉദ്ധരിക്കും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty-six years was this temple in building; and wilt thou raise it up in three days?
൨൦യെഹൂദ അധികാരികൾ അവനോട്: “ഈ മന്ദിരം നാല്പത്താറ് വർഷങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തിനകം അതിനെ ഉദ്ധരിപ്പിക്കുമോ?“എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
21 But he spoke of the temple of his body.
൨൧എന്നാൽ അവനോ തന്‍റെ ശരീരം എന്ന മന്ദിരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ പറഞ്ഞത്.
22 When therefore he had risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the Scripture, and the word which Jesus had spoken.
൨൨അവൻ ഇതു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവൻ മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഓർത്തു തിരുവെഴുത്തും യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വചനവും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
23 And when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, at the feast, many believed in his name, when they saw his signs which he wrought.
൨൩പെസഹ പെരുന്നാളിൽ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതകരമായ അടയാളങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ട് പലരും അവന്‍റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
24 But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men;
൨൪യേശുവോ അവരെ എല്ലാവരെയും അറിയുകകൊണ്ട് തന്നെത്താൻ അവരിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ച് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചില്ല.
25 and had no need that any one should testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
൨൫മനുഷ്യനിലുള്ളത് എന്ത് എന്നു സ്വതവേ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ തനിക്കു മനുഷ്യനെക്കുറിച്ച് ആരുടെയും സാക്ഷ്യം ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നില്ല.
