Ephesians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints who are [[in Ephesus]], and believers in Christ Jesus:
Ja, Paweł, powołany przez Boga na apostoła Jezusa Chrystusa, piszę do świętych w Efezie, którzy wiernie naśladują Chrystusa Jezusa.
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Niech Bóg, nasz Ojciec, i Pan, Jezus Chrystus, obdarzają was swoją łaską i pokojem!
3 Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly regions in Christ;
Chwała niech będzie Bogu, Ojcu naszego Pana—Jezusa Chrystusa! Ze względu na swojego Syna, obdarzył nas bowiem niebiańskim szczęściem.
4 according as he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him;
Dzięki Chrystusowi wybrał nas dla siebie już przed stworzeniem świata, abyśmy w Jego oczach byli święci, nieskazitelni i pełni miłości.
5 having in love predestinated us for himself to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Ze względu na Jezusa, postanowił uczynić nas swoimi dziećmi—pragnął bowiem
6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved;
objawić światu swoją wielką łaskę, którą okazał nam poprzez swojego ukochanego Syna.
7 in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
To właśnie ze względu na przelaną krew Chrystusa zostaliśmy odkupieni przez Boga i oczyszczeni ze wszystkich win. Łaska Boga jest ogromna!
8 which he made to abound toward us, in all wisdom and understanding;
Dzięki niej zostaliśmy obdarzeni mądrością i zrozumieliśmy
9 having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself
tajemnicę odwiecznego planu Boga.
10 in reference to the dispensation of the fullness of the times, to gather for himself into one all things in Christ, the things which are in the heavens, and the things on the earth; even in him,
A polega on na tym, że w wyznaczonym przez Boga czasie wszystko—zarówno to, co znajduje się na ziemi, jak i to, co jest w niebie—zostanie podporządkowane Chrystusowi.
11 in whom we also obtained the inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will,
Dzięki Niemu także my zostaliśmy wybrani przez Boga—zgodnie z Jego planem. Wszystko bowiem dzieje się zgodnie z Jego zamierzeniem.
12 that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who have before placed our hope in the Messiah;
My więc jako jedni z pierwszych zaufaliśmy Chrystusowi i oddaliśmy chwałę Bogu.
13 in whom ye also, after having heard the word of truth, the glad tidings of your salvation, in whom, I say, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit that was promised,
Dzięki Niemu również i wy usłyszeliście dobrą nowinę o zbawieniu i uwierzyliście Mu. A na dowód tego, że jesteście własnością Boga, zostaliście opieczętowani obiecanym Duchem Świętym.
14 which is a pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
Jego obecność w nas jest gwarancją tego, że zostaniemy odkupieni przez Boga i że na pewno otrzymamy od Niego obiecany dar. A wszystko to przyniesie Bogu chwałę!
15 For this cause I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and of your love to all the saints,
Od dnia, w którym usłyszałem, że szczerze wierzycie Panu i kochacie wszystkich wierzących,
16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
nie przestaję dziękować za was Bogu i modlić się za was.
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him;
Proszę też Boga, Ojca naszego Pana—Jezusa Chrystusa, aby udzielił wam duchowej mądrości i abyście mogli Go jeszcze lepiej poznać. Jemu należy się bowiem chwała.
18 the eyes of your mind being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope belonging to his call of you, and what the riches of the glory of the inheritance which he hath given among the saints,
Proszę Go również, aby oświecił was i pokazał wam wspaniałą przyszłość, do której was powołał, oraz wielki dar, który przygotował dla wszystkich świętych,
19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
a także ogromną moc, z jaką działa wśród nas i wszystkich, którzy Mu uwierzyli.
20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead; and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly regions,
Ta sama Boża moc wzbudziła z martwych Chrystusa i wyniosła Go na najbardziej zaszczytne miejsce w niebie, znajdujące się po prawej stronie Boga.
21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; (aiōn g165)
On stoi bowiem ponad wszystkimi władcami tego świata, a także wszelkimi duchowymi mocami—zarówno obecnymi, jak i przyszłymi. (aiōn g165)
22 and put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,
Bóg rzucił Mu bowiem wszystko do stóp i ustanowił Go Głową całego kościoła,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who filleth all with all;
który jest Jego ciałem. On jest obecny w każdym miejscu!
