Acts 3
1 And Peter and John were going up together to the temple, at the hour of prayer, which is the ninth hour.
Pedro y Juan subían al Templo a las tres de la tarde, hora de hablar con Dios.
2 And a certain man lame from his birth was carried along, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of those who entered the temple;
Cada día llevaban un hombre cojo de nacimiento a la puerta del Templo llamada La Hermosa, para que pidiera limosna a los que entraban.
3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked alms.
El cojo, al ver a Pedro y Juan que iban a entrar al Templo, rogaba que le dieran una limosna.
4 And Peter fixing his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look upon us.
Pedro, con Juan, fijó sus ojos en él y le dijo: ¡Míranos!
5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.
Y él les puso atención y esperaba recibir algo de ellos.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have I give thee. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk.
Pedro le dijo: No tengo plata ni oro, pero te doy lo que tengo. En el Nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret, ¡levántate y anda!
7 And grasping him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and ankles received strength.
Lo tomó de la mano derecha, lo levantó y de inmediato sus pies y tobillos se fortalecieron.
8 And leaping forth he stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping, praising God.
Saltó, se puso en pie y comenzó a caminar. Entró con ellos al Templo y andaba, saltaba y alababa a Dios.
9 And all the people saw him walking, and praising God;
Todo el pueblo vio que andaba y alababa a Dios,
10 and they recognized him as the man that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.
y reconocían que éste era el que se sentaba para pedir limosna en la puerta La Hermosa del Templo. Se llenaron de admiración y asombro por lo que sucedió.
11 And as he held fast to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's greatly wondering.
Mientras él tenía agarrados a Pedro y a Juan, todo el pueblo, asombrado, corrió con prisa hacia el Patio de Salomón.
12 But Peter seeing it, answered the people: Men of Israel, why wonder ye at this? Or why look ye earnestly on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man to walk?
Al ver esto Pedro, se dirigió al pueblo: Varones israelitas, ¿por qué se maravillan de esto? ¿Por qué nos miran a nosotros, como si por nuestro poder o piedad lo hubiéramos hecho andar?
13 The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye indeed delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.
El Dios de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob, el Dios de nuestros antepasados, glorificó a su Siervo Jesús, a Quien, en presencia de Pilato, después que éste decidió libertarlo, ustedes rechazaron y entregaron.
14 But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a murderer should be granted to you.
Pero ustedes negaron al Santo y Justo, pidieron que les fuera concedido un hombre homicida
15 But the author of life ye killed; whom God raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
y mataron al Originador de la vida, a Quien Dios resucitó de entre [los] muertos, de lo cual nosotros somos testigos.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, made this man strong, whom ye see and know; yea, the faith which is through him gave him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Por la fe en el Nombre de Él, [el Señor ]fortaleció a éste que ven y conocieron. La fe en el Nombre de Él, le dio esta completa sanidad delante de todos ustedes.
17 And now, brethren, I know that ye acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
Ahora, hermanos, entiendo que ustedes obraron por ignorancia, como también sus gobernantes,
18 But God thus fulfilled what he had before announced by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer.
pero Dios cumplió así lo que predijo por medio de todos los profetas: que su Cristo debía padecer.
19 Repent therefore and turn from your ways, that your sins may be blotted out, in order that the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
Por tanto, cambien de mente y den la vuelta [hacia Dios], para que sean borrados sus pecados,
20 and that he may send forth Christ Jesus, who was before appointed for you;
y que de la presencia del Señor vengan tiempos de refrigerio, y les envíe a Cristo Jesús Quien fue antes Anunciado,
21 whom heaven indeed must receive until the times of a restoration of all things; of which times God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from the days of old. (aiōn g165)
Quien ciertamente debe permanecer en el cielo hasta los tiempos de [la] restauración de todas las cosas, de las que Dios habló desde tiempo antiguo por medio de sus santos profetas. (aiōn g165)
22 Moses indeed said, “A prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you from among your brethren, as be raised up me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatever he shall speak to you.
Moisés en verdad dijo: El Señor su Dios les levantará un Profeta de entre sus hermanos como yo. Todas las cosas que les hable las escucharán de Él.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul which doth not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.”
Sucederá que cualquiera persona que no escuche a aquel Profeta será eliminada del pueblo.
24 And all the prophets also, Samuel and those who followed, as many as spoke, announced these days.
De igual modo todos los profetas desde Samuel y cuantos sucesivamente hablaron, anunciaron estos días.
25 Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, “And in thy posterity shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”
Ustedes son los hijos de los profetas y del Pacto que Dios decretó a nuestros antepasados, cuando dijo a Abraham: En tu descendencia serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra.
26 To you first, God, having raised up his servant, sent him to bless you in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
Después de resucitar a su Siervo, Dios lo envió primeramente a ustedes para bendecirlos, y dio a cada uno el entendimiento para apartarse de sus maldades.
