Philemon 1
1 Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker,

2 and to Apphia our sister, to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:

3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,

5 hearing of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;
因为我听说了你们对主耶稣的信以及对众信徒的爱。
6 that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you in Christ.
当你们意识到我们从基督那里分享的所有美好事物，我祈祷你们将对上帝的满怀信任付诸行动。
7 For I have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
我亲爱的兄弟，你的爱带给我更多的欢喜和安慰。你激励了我们所有这些有信仰的人。
8 Therefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate,
所以，尽管我因信基督而斗胆吩咐你履行职责，
9 yet on the basis of love I rather appeal, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Christ Jesus.
但我宁愿因爱而请你们提供帮助。我已经老了，现在又成为基督耶稣的囚徒，
10 I appeal to you for my child, whom I have become the father of in my chains, Onesimus,
现在为我在囚禁时成为我养子的欧尼西慕求你。
11 who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.
他从前对你并无用处，但现在对你我却都有用处。
12 I am sending back to you, him who is my very heart,
我现以我最诚挚的愿望，派他到你那里。
13 whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.
我宁愿把他留在这里和我一起，这样他就可以在我因为讲述这个好消息而被关在枷锁里的时候代表你帮助我。。
14 But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.
但没得到你的同意，我决定什么也不做，不想让你们感觉被迫做好事，并非自愿这样做。
15 For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while, that you would have him forever, (aiōnios g166)
也许你暂时失去了他，这样你就可以永远拥有他了！ (aiōnios g166)
16 no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.
不再是奴隶，而是高于奴隶。他是被特别爱护的兄弟。对我尤其如此，对你甚至更是如此，不论作为一个人还是相信主的信徒，都是如此。
17 If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me.
所以，你们要是把我看作与你一起为上帝工作的同伴，就像迎接我一样迎接他。
18 But if he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, put that to my account.
如果他做了什么错事或欠了你什么，都算在我头上。
19 I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).
我保罗亲自在这里写下：我必偿还。当然我不会提到你欠我什么，包括你的生命。
20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ.
是的，兄弟啊！让我在主那里获得你的帮助；请让我以在基督中感到幸福。
21 Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.
我深信你会做我求你的事情——事实上，我知道你所做的将会超过我所说的，因此才写信给你。
22 Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
同时，还请你为我准备一个房间，因为我希望能借着你们的祷告，可以获得释放到你们那里去。
23 Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,

24 as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

25 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
