Mark 5
1 And they came to the other side of the lake, into the territory of the Gerasenes.
Ils arrivèrent de l'autre côté de la mer, dans le pays des Gadaréniens.
2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of the tombs.
Dès qu'il fut sorti de la barque, un homme possédé d'un esprit impur vint à sa rencontre hors des sépulcres.
3 He lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain.
Il habitait dans les sépulcres. Personne ne pouvait plus le lier, pas même avec des chaînes,
4 For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been torn apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces. No one had the strength to tame him.
car il avait été souvent lié avec des fers et des chaînes, et les chaînes avaient été déchirées par lui, et les fers brisés en morceaux. Personne n'avait la force de le dompter.
5 And always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.
Toujours, nuit et jour, dans les tombeaux et dans les montagnes, il poussait des cris et se tailladait avec des pierres.
6 And when he saw Yeshua from afar, he ran and bowed down to him,
Voyant Jésus de loin, il courut se prosterner devant lui,
7 and crying out with a loud voice, he said, "What have I to do with you, Yeshua, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me."
et s'écria d'une voix forte: « Qu'ai-je à faire avec toi, Jésus, Fils du Dieu très haut? Je t'en conjure par Dieu, ne me tourmente pas. »
8 For he had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit."
Car il lui dit: « Sors de cet homme, esprit impur! »
9 And then he asked him, "What is your name?" And he replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many."
Il lui demanda: « Quel est ton nom? » Il lui dit: « Je m'appelle Légion, car nous sommes nombreux. »
10 And he pleaded with Yeshua repeatedly not to send them away out of the region.
Il le supplia beaucoup de ne pas les renvoyer hors du pays.
11 Now on the mountainside there was a great herd of pigs feeding.
Or, sur le flanc de la montagne, il y avait un grand troupeau de porcs qui paissait.
12 And they begged him, saying, "Send us into the pigs, that we may enter into them."
Tous les démons le supplièrent, disant: « Envoie-nous vers les porcs, afin que nous entrions en eux. »
13 And he gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs; and the herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the lake, and they were drowned in the lake.
Aussitôt, Jésus leur donna la permission. Les esprits impurs sortirent et entrèrent dans les porcs. Le troupeau d'environ deux mille personnes se précipita du haut de la rive escarpée dans la mer, et ils furent noyés dans la mer.
14 And those who fed them fled, and told it in the city and in the country. And the people went to see what it was that had happened.
Ceux qui avaient nourri les porcs s'enfuirent et le racontèrent à la ville et à la campagne. Les gens vinrent pour voir ce qui s'était passé.
15 And they came to Yeshua, and saw him who had been possessed by demons sitting, clothed and in his right mind, even him who had the legion; and they were afraid.
Ils s'approchèrent de Jésus, et virent le démoniaque assis, vêtu et sain d'esprit, même celui qui avait la légion; et ils eurent peur.
16 And those who saw it declared to them how it happened to him who was possessed by demons, and about the pigs.
Ceux qui l'avaient vu leur racontèrent ce qui était arrivé à celui qui était possédé de démons, et ce qui concernait les porcs.
17 And then they began to plead with Yeshua to leave their region.
Ils se mirent à le supplier de s'éloigner de leur région.
18 As he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed by demons pleaded with him that he might be with him.
Comme il entrait dans la barque, celui qui avait été possédé par des démons le supplia de pouvoir être avec lui.
19 However, Yeshua did not allow him, but said to him, "Go to your house, to your own, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how he had mercy on you."
Il ne le lui permit pas, mais lui dit: « Va dans ta maison, chez tes amis, et raconte-leur les grandes choses que le Seigneur a faites pour toi et comment il a eu pitié de toi. »
20 So he went his way, and began to proclaim in Decapolis how Yeshua had done great things for him, and everyone was amazed.
Il s'en alla, et se mit à proclamer dans la Décapole comment Jésus avait fait de grandes choses pour lui, et tout le monde s'en étonnait.
21 And when Yeshua had crossed back over in the boat to the other side, a large crowd was gathered to him; and he was by the lake.
Lorsque Jésus eut retraversé la barque pour passer de l'autre côté, une grande foule s'assembla auprès de lui, et il était au bord de la mer.
22 One of the rulers of the synagogue, Yuarash by name, came; and seeing him, he fell at his feet,
Et voici qu'arrive un des chefs de la synagogue, nommé Jaïrus. Le voyant, il se jeta à ses pieds
23 and pleaded with him repeatedly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her, that she may be made healthy, and live."
et le supplia beaucoup, en disant: « Ma petite fille est à l'article de la mort. Viens, je te prie, imposer tes mains sur elle, afin qu'elle soit guérie et qu'elle vive. »
24 And he went with him, and a large crowd followed him, and they pressed upon him on all sides.
Il partit avec lui. Une grande foule le suivait, et se pressait de tous côtés contre lui.
25 Now a woman, who had an issue of blood for twelve years,
Une femme qui avait des pertes de sang depuis douze ans,
26 and had suffered many things by many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,
qui avait beaucoup souffert de la part de beaucoup de médecins, qui avait dépensé tout ce qu'elle possédait, et qui n'était pas guérie, mais qui allait plutôt en empirant,
27 having heard the things concerning Yeshua, came up behind him in the crowd, and touched his clothes.
ayant entendu parler de Jésus, vint derrière lui dans la foule et toucha ses vêtements.
28 For she said, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well."
Car elle disait: « Si je touche seulement ses vêtements, je serai guérie. »
29 And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
Aussitôt, l'écoulement de son sang se tarit, et elle sentit dans son corps qu'elle était guérie de son malheur.
30 And immediately Yeshua, perceiving in himself that the power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd, and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"
Aussitôt, Jésus, percevant en lui-même que la puissance était sortie de lui, se retourna dans la foule et demanda: « Qui a touché mes vêtements? »
31 And his disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing against you, and you say, 'Who touched me?'"
Ses disciples lui dirent: « Tu vois la foule qui se presse contre toi, et tu dis: « Qui m'a touché? »".
32 He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
Il regarda autour de lui pour voir celle qui avait fait cela.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him the whole truth.
Mais la femme, effrayée et tremblante, sachant ce qu'on lui avait fait, vint se jeter à terre devant lui, et lui dit toute la vérité.
34 And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease."
Il lui dit: « Ma fille, ta foi t'a guérie. Va en paix, et sois guérie de ta maladie. »
35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler's house saying, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?"
Comme il parlait encore, des gens vinrent de la maison du chef de la synagogue, disant: « Ta fille est morte. Pourquoi déranger encore le maître? »
36 But Yeshua, overhearing the message spoken, said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid, only believe."
Mais Jésus, ayant entendu le message prononcé, dit aussitôt au chef de la synagogue: « N'aie pas peur, crois seulement. »
37 And he allowed no one to follow him, except Kipha, Yaquv, and Yukhanan the brother of Yaquv.
Il ne permit à personne de le suivre, si ce n'est à Pierre, à Jacques et à Jean, frère de Jacques.
38 And they came to the synagogue ruler's house, and he saw an uproar, weeping, and great wailing.
Il arriva à la maison du chef de la synagogue, et il vit un tumulte, des pleurs et de grandes lamentations.
39 And when he had entered in, he said to them, "Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep."
Étant entré, il leur dit: « Pourquoi faites-vous du bruit et pleurez-vous? L'enfant n'est pas mort, mais il dort. »
40 And they ridiculed him. But he, having put them all out, took the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with him, and went in where the child was.
Ils se moquaient de lui. Mais lui, les ayant tous mis dehors, prit le père de l'enfant, sa mère, et ceux qui étaient avec lui, et il entra là où l'enfant était couchée.
41 And taking the child by the hand, he said to her, "Talitha qum," which translated means, "Little girl, I tell you, get up."
Prenant l'enfant par la main, il lui dit: « Talitha cumi! », ce qui signifie, selon l'interprétation, « Fillette, je te le dis, lève-toi! »
42 And immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were overcome with amazement.
Aussitôt, la jeune fille se leva et marcha, car elle avait douze ans. Ils furent saisis d'un grand étonnement.
43 And he strictly ordered them that no one should know this, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
Il leur ordonna strictement que personne ne le sache, et ordonna qu'on lui donne quelque chose à manger.
