< Psalms 91 >
1 He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, Habitually lodges in the shade of the Mighty,
Nea ɔte Ɔsorosoroni no hintabea no biara bɛhome wɔ Otumfo no nwini ase.
2 He is saying of YHWH, “My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,”
Mese Awurade se, “Ɔyɛ me guankɔbea ne mʼabandennen, me Nyankopɔn a mewɔ no mu ahotoso.”
3 For He delivers you from the snare of a fowler, From a calamitous pestilence.
Ampa ara, obegye wo afi firisumfo afiri ne owuyare mu.
4 He covers you over with His pinion, And under His wings you trust, His truth [is] a shield and buckler.
Ɔde ne ntakra bɛkata wo so; na ne ntaban ase na wubenya guankɔbea; ne nokware bɛyɛ wo nkatabo ne wo kyɛm.
5 You are not afraid of fear by night, Of arrow that flies by day,
Worensuro ɔdasu mu ɔsɛe, anaa bɛmma a etu awia,
6 Of pestilence that walks in thick darkness, Of destruction that destroys at noon,
anaa owuyare a ɛba sum mu, anaa ɔyaredɔm a ɛsɛe ade wɔ owigyinae bere.
7 One thousand fall at your side, And a myriad at your right hand, [But] it does not come near to you.
Apem bɛtotɔ wo nkyɛn mu, na mpem du atotɔ wo nifa a, wo de, ɛremmɛn wo.
8 But with your eyes you look, And you see the reward of the wicked,
Wʼaniwa nko ara na wode bɛhwɛ na woahu nnebɔneyɛfo asotwe.
9 (For You, O YHWH, [are] my refuge), You made the Most High your habitation.
Sɛ woka se, “Awurade ne me guankɔbea,” na wode Ɔsorosoroni no hɔ yɛ wo tenabea a,
10 Evil does not happen to you, And a plague does not come near your tent,
ɔhaw biara remmunkam wo so, na ɔsɛe biara remmɛn wo ntamadan.
11 For He charges His messengers for you, To keep you in all your ways,
Efisɛ Onyankopɔn bɛsoma nʼabɔfo abɛbɔ wo ho ban na wɔabɛwɛn wo wʼakwan nyinaa mu;
12 On the hands they bear you up, Lest you strike your foot against a stone.
wɔde wɔn nsa bɛma wo so, na wo nan ampem ɔbo.
13 You tread on lion and cobra, You trample young lion and dragon.
Wubetiatia gyata ne aprammiri so, wobɛnantew gyataforo ne ɔwɔ so.
14 Because he has delighted in Me, I also deliver him—I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.
Awurade ka se, “Esiane sɛ ɔdɔ me nti, megye no; mɛbɔ ne ho ban, efisɛ ogye me din to mu.
15 He calls Me, and I answer him, I [am] with him in distress, I deliver him, and honor him.
Ɔbɛfrɛ me na megye ne so; mɛka ne ho wɔ amanehunu mu, megye no na mahyɛ no anuonyam.
16 I satisfy him with [the] length of [his] days, And I cause him to look on My salvation!
Mɛma nkwa nna a ɛware amee no na makyerɛ no me nkwagye.”
