< Psalms 38 >

1 A PSALM OF DAVID. “TO CAUSE TO REMEMBER.” YHWH, do not reprove me in Your wrath, Nor discipline me in Your fury.
[Psalm lal David] O LEUM GOD, nimet kaiyu in mulat lom!
2 For Your arrows have come down on me, And You let down Your hand on me.
Kom kanteyuwi ke pisr nutum, Ac kom puokyuwi.
3 Soundness is not in my flesh, Because of Your indignation, Peace is not in my bones, Because of my sin.
Ke sripen kasrkusrak lom, nga muta in keok lulap; Monuk nufon mas ke sripen ma koluk luk.
4 For my iniquities have passed over my head, As a heavy burden—too heavy for me.
Nga walomla in sronot lun ma koluk luk, Su arulana toasr nu sik in us.
5 Stunk—my wounds have become corrupt, Because of my folly.
Kinet keik pusrosr ac kulawi Ke sripen ma lalfon nga oru.
6 I have been bent down, I have been bowed down—to excess, I have gone mourning all the day.
Nga itungyuki ac kuruweni; Nga mwemelil ke len fon.
7 For my flanks have been full of drought, And soundness is not in my flesh.
Arulana folla monuk ke mas luk Ac nga apkuran in misa.
8 I have been feeble and struck—to excess, I have roared from disquietude of heart.
Nga totola ac arulana itungyuki; Insiuk keok na, ac nga sasaola ke ngal luk.
9 Lord, all my desire [is] before You, And my sighing has not been hid from You.
O Leum, kom etu lah mea nga kena kac; Kom lohng sasao luk nukewa.
10 My heart [is] panting, my power has forsaken me, And the light of my eyes, Even they are not with me.
Insiuk kihmkim, ku luk wanginla, Ac mutuk ohkla.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from before my plague. And my neighbors have stood far off.
Mwet kawuk ac mwet tulan luk elos tila tuku apkuran nu yuruk Ke sripen ruf keik; Finne sou luk, elos tila fahsriyu.
12 And those seeking my soul lay a snare, And those seeking my evil Have spoken mischievous things, And they meditate [on] deceits all the day.
Elos su suk in uniyuwi elos filiya kwasrip nu sik, Ac elos su kena akngalyeyu elos fahk mu elos ac kunausyula. Elos tiana tui in orek pwapa koluk lainyu.
13 And I, as deaf, do not hear. And as a mute one who does not open his mouth.
Nga oana sie mwet sulohngkas — nga tia ku in lohng, Nga oana sie mwet kofla kaskas, na nga tia kaskas.
14 Indeed, I am as a man who does not hear, And in his mouth are no reproofs.
Nga oana mwet se su tia ku in topuk ma uh Ke sripen el tia ku in lohng.
15 Because for You, O YHWH, I have waited, You answer, O Lord my God.
Tusruktu nga lulalfongi in kom, O LEUM GOD, Kom, Leum God luk, fah topukyu.
16 When I said, “Lest they rejoice over me, In the slipping of my foot they magnified themselves against me.”
Nikmet lela mwet lokoalok luk in engan ke nga sun mwe ongoiya; Nikmet lela elos in tungak ke nga ikori.
17 For I am ready to halt, And my pain [is] continually before me.
Nga apkuran in ikori, Ac nga waiok pacl e nukewa.
18 For I declare my iniquity, I am sorry for my sin.
Nga fahkak ma koluk luk; Tuh ma inge oru nga arulana fosrnga.
19 And my enemies [are] lively, They have been strong, and those hating me without cause, Have been multiplied.
Mwet lokoalok luk elos arulana ku in mano; Pukanten mwet srungayu ke wangin sripa.
20 And those paying evil for good accuse me, Because of my pursuing good.
Elos su folokin ma koluk ke ma wo Elos lainyu mweyen nga srike in oru ma suwohs.
21 Do not forsake me, O YHWH, My God, do not be far from me,
Nikmet sisyula, O LEUM GOD; Nikmet fahsr likiyu, God luk.
22 Hurry to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
Kasreyu inge, O Leum su langoeyu!
