< Proverbs 19 >
1 Better [is] the poor walking in his integrity, Than the perverse [in] his lips—who [is] a fool.
Nasaysayaat ti nakurapay a tao nga agbibiag iti kinalinteg ngem iti maysa a maag a dakes ti panagsasaona.
2 Also, without knowledge the soul [is] not good, And the hasty in feet is sinning.
Kasta met, a saan a nasayaat ti agtarigagay nga awanan iti pannakaammo, ken ti tumaray a nakaparpartak ket maiyaw-awan iti dalan.
3 The folly of man perverts his way, And his heart is angry against YHWH.
Ti kinamaag ti maysa a tao ti mangdadael iti biagna, ken busbusorenna ni Yahweh.
4 Wealth adds many friends, And the poor is separated from his neighbor.
Umado ti gagayyem gapu iti kinabaknang, ngem maisina ti nakurapay a tao kadagiti gagayyemna.
5 A false witness is not acquitted, Whoever breathes out lies is not delivered.
Saan a mabalin a saan a madusa ti maysa a palso a saksi, ken saan a makalibas ti agisawsawang iti inuulbod.
6 Many beg the face of the noble, And all have made friendship to a man of gifts.
Adunto dagiti dumawat iti pabor manipud iti mannangited a tao, ken tunggal maysa ket gayyem ti manangted iti sagut.
7 All the brothers of the poor have hated him, Surely his friends have also been far from him, He is pursuing words—they are not!
Amin a kakabsat ti nakurapay a tao ket kagurada isuna; ad-adda pay ngarud nga ad-adaywan isuna dagiti gagayyemna! Aw-awaganna ida, ngem awandan.
8 Whoever is getting heart is loving his soul, He is keeping understanding to find good.
Ti mangnaynayon iti kinasiribna ket ipatpategna ti bukodna a biag; ti mangsalsalimetmet iti pannakaawat ket makabirok iti naimbag.
9 A false witness is not acquitted, And whoever breathes out lies perishes.
Saan a mabalin a saan a madusa ti maysa a palso a saksi, ngem mapukaw ti agisawsawang iti inuulbod.
10 Luxury is not fitting for a fool, Much less for a servant to rule among princes.
Saan a rumbeng nga agbiag iti narang-ay ti maysa a maag - ad-adda a saan a rumbeng nga iturayan ti maysa a tagabu dagiti prinsipe.
11 The wisdom of a man has deferred his anger, And his glory [is] to pass over transgression.
Ti pannakaammo ti mangmangted iti kabaelan iti maysa a tao tapno saan a nalaka a makaunget, ken pakaidayawanna ti panangpalabasna iti nagbasolanda kenkuana.
12 The wrath of a king [is] a growl as of a young lion, And his goodwill as dew on the herb.
Ti pungtot ti ari ket kasla panagngernger ti urbon a leon, ngem ti asina ket kasla linnaaw kadagiti karuotan.
13 A foolish son [is] a calamity to his father, And the contentions of a wife [are] a continual dropping.
Ti maag nga anak ket pakaibabainan ti amana, ken ti dumanayudom nga asawa a babai ket kas iti danum nga agtedtedted a kanayon.
14 House and wealth [are] the inheritance of fathers, And an understanding wife [is] from YHWH.
Ti balay ken kinabaknang ket matawtawid manipud kadagiti nagannak, ngem ti nanakem nga asawa a babai ket aggapu kenni Yahweh.
15 Sloth causes deep sleep to fall, And an indolent soul hungers.
Ti kinasadut ket paturogenna ti tao, ngem agbisin ti tao a saanna a kayat ti agtrabaho.
16 Whoever is keeping the command is keeping his soul, Whoever is despising His ways dies.
Ti tao a mangtungtungpal iti bilin ket salsaluadanna ti biagna, ngem matay ti tao a saan a mangutob iti maipanggep kadagiti wagasna.
17 Whoever is lending [to] YHWH is favoring the poor, And He repays his deed to him.
Ti siasinoman a naasi kadagiti nakurapay ket kasla padpadawatanna ni Yahweh, ket bayadanto ni Yahweh isuna kadagiti inaramidna.
18 Discipline your son, for there is hope, And do not lift up your soul to put him to death.
Disiplinaam ti anakmo kabayatan nga adda pay namnama, ken saanmo koma nga itulok a mapukaw ti biagna.
19 A man of great wrath is bearing punishment, For if you deliver, yet again you add.
Masapul a bayadan ti tao a managpungtot ti pannusa; no ispalem isuna, masapul nga aramidem daytoy iti mamindua.
20 Hear counsel and receive instruction, So that you are wise in your latter end.
Denggem ti balakad ken awatem ti pannursuro, tapno sumiribka agingga iti pagpatinggaan ti biagmo.
21 The purposes in a man’s heart [are] many, And the counsel of YHWH—it stands.
Adu dagiti plano iti puso ti maysa a tao, ngem ti plano ni Yahweh ti matungpal.
22 The desirableness of a man [is] his kindness, And the poor [is] better than a liar.
Ti kinapudno ti tartarigagayan ti maysa a tao, ken nasaysayaat ti nakurapay a tao ngem ti ulbod.
23 The fear of YHWH [is] to life, And he remains satisfied—he is not charged with evil.
Ti panangidaydayaw kenni Yahweh ti mangiturturong kadagiti tattao iti biag; mapnek ti siasinoman nga addaan kadagitoy ken saan a madangran.
24 The slothful has hidden his hand in a dish, Even to his mouth he does not bring it back.
Idisso ti sadut ti imana iti pinggan; a saanna payen a maingato daytoy nga isubo iti ngiwatna.
25 Strike a scorner, and the simple acts prudently, And give reproof to the intelligent, He understands knowledge.
No dangram ti mananglais, agbalin a nanakem ti nengneng; ilintegmo ti adda pannakaawatna ket magun-odnanto ti pannakaammo.
26 Whoever is spoiling a father causes a mother to flee, A son causing shame, and bringing confusion.
Ti tao a taktakawanna ti amana ken pagtaltalawenna ti inana ket anak a mangipapaay iti pakaibabainan ken pakaum-umsian.
27 Cease, my son, to hear instruction—To err from sayings of knowledge.
No isardengmo ti dumngeg iti pannursuro, anakko, malipatam dagiti sasao iti pannakaammo.
28 A worthless witness scorns judgment, And the mouth of the wicked swallows iniquity.
Lalaisen ti dakes a saksi ti hustisia, ken tiltilmunen ti ngiwat dagiti nadangkes ti basol.
29 Judgments have been prepared for scorners, And stripes for the back of fools!
Nakasaganan ti panangukom para kadagiti mananglais, ken ti saplit para kadagiti bukot dagiti maag.
