Psalms 94
1 O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
Yahvé, tú, Dios a quien pertenece la venganza, tú, Dios, a quien pertenece la venganza, resplandece.
2 Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
Levántate, juez de la tierra. Devuelve a los orgullosos lo que se merecen.
3 How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
Yahvé, hasta cuándo los malvados, ¿hasta cuándo triunfarán los malvados?
4 They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
Derraman palabras arrogantes. Todos los malhechores se jactan.
5 Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
Rompen a tu pueblo en pedazos, Yahvé, y aflige tu herencia.
6 The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
Matan a la viuda y al extranjero, y asesinar a los huérfanos.
7 And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
Dicen: “Yah no verá, ni el Dios de Jacob considerará”.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
Considera, tú, insensato del pueblo; tontos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?
9 He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
El que implantó el oído, ¿no oirá? El que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
10 He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
El que disciplina a las naciones, ¿no castigará? El que enseña al hombre sabe.
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
Yahvé conoce los pensamientos del hombre, que son inútiles.
12 Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
Bendito es el hombre al que disciplinas, Yah, y enseñar con tu ley,
13 That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
para que le des descanso en los días de adversidad, hasta que la fosa sea cavada para los malvados.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
Porque Yahvé no rechazará a su pueblo, ni abandonará su herencia.
15 For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
Porque el juicio volverá a la justicia. Todos los rectos de corazón la seguirán.
16 Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malvados? ¿Quién me defenderá de los malhechores?
17 Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
A menos que Yahvé haya sido mi ayuda, mi alma habría vivido pronto en el silencio.
18 When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
Cuando dije: “¡Me resbala el pie!” Tu amorosa bondad, Yahvé, me sostuvo.
19 In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, tus consuelos deleitan mi alma.
20 Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
El trono de la maldad tendrá comunión con vosotros, que provoca el malestar por el estatuto?
21 They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
Se reúnen contra el alma del justo, y condenar la sangre inocente.
22 But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
Pero Yahvé ha sido mi alta torre, mi Dios, la roca de mi refugio.
23 And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
Ha hecho recaer sobre ellos su propia iniquidad, y los cortará en su propia maldad. Yahvé, nuestro Dios, los cortará.
