< Psalms 84 >
1 “To the chief musician upon Gittith, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” How lovely are thy dwelling-places, O Lord of hosts!
Kwa mwimbishaji. Mtindo wa gitithi. Zaburi ya wana wa Kora. Ee Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote, makao yako yapendeza kama nini!
2 My soul desired, yea, it also longed for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh shout with joy unto the living God.
Nafsi yangu inatamani sana, naam, hata kuona shauku, kwa ajili ya nyua za Bwana; moyo wangu na mwili wangu vinamlilia Mungu Aliye Hai.
3 Even as the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young: —[have I found] thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
Hata shomoro amejipatia makao, mbayuwayu amejipatia kiota mahali awezapo kuweka makinda yake: mahali karibu na madhabahu yako, Ee Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote, Mfalme wangu na Mungu wangu.
4 Happy are they who dwell in thy house: they will be continually praising thee. (Selah)
Heri wale wanaokaa nyumbani mwako, wanaokusifu wewe daima.
5 Happy is the man whose strong confidence is in thee, [all] whose heart reflecteth on the paths [of righteousness].
Heri wale ambao nguvu zao ziko kwako, na njia ziendazo Sayuni zimo mioyoni mwao.
6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will change it into a spring: also the early rain covereth it with blessings.
Wanapopita katika Bonde la Baka, hulifanya mahali pa chemchemi, pia mvua za vuli hulijaza kwa madimbwi.
7 They go from strength to strength, each of them appeareth before God in Zion.
Huendelea toka nguvu hadi nguvu, hadi kila mmoja afikapo mbele za Mungu huko Sayuni.
8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)
Ee Bwana Mungu Mwenye Nguvu Zote, sikia maombi yangu; nisikilize, Ee Mungu wa Yakobo.
9 [Thou, ] our shield, behold, O God, and look upon the face of thy anointed.
Ee Mungu, uitazame ngao yetu, mtazame kwa wema mpakwa mafuta wako.
10 For better is a day in thy courts than a thousand [elsewhere]: I would rather choose to wait at the threshold of the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Siku moja katika nyua zako ni bora kuliko siku elfu mahali pengine; afadhali ningekuwa bawabu katika nyumba ya Mungu wangu kuliko kukaa katika mahema ya waovu.
11 For a sun and shield is the Lord God; grace and glory will the Lord give; he will not withhold any good from those that walk with integrity.
Kwa kuwa Bwana ni jua na ngao, Bwana hutoa wema na heshima; hakuna kitu chema anachowanyima wale ambao hawana hatia.
12 O Lord of hosts, happy is the man that trusteth in thee.
Ee Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote, heri ni mtu yule anayekutumaini wewe.
