Psalms 83
1 “A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
Wimbo. Zaburi ya Asafu. Ee Mungu, usinyamaze kimya, usinyamaze, Ee Mungu, usitulie.
2 For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
Tazama watesi wako wanafanya fujo, jinsi adui zako wanavyoinua vichwa vyao.
3 Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
Kwa hila, wanafanya shauri dhidi ya watu wako, wanafanya shauri baya dhidi ya wale unaowapenda.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
Wanasema, “Njooni, tuwaangamize kama taifa, ili jina la Israeli lisikumbukwe tena.”
5 For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
Kwa nia moja wanapanga mashauri mabaya pamoja, wanafanya muungano dhidi yako,
6 The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
mahema ya Edomu na Waishmaeli, ya Wamoabu na Wahagari,
7 Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebali, Amoni na Amaleki, Ufilisti, pamoja na watu wa Tiro.
8 Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
Hata Ashuru wameungana nao kuwapa nguvu wazao wa Loti.
9 Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
Uwatendee kama vile ulivyowatendea Midiani, na kama vile ulivyowatendea Sisera na Yabini hapo kijito cha Kishoni,
10 Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
ambao waliangamia huko Endori na wakawa kama takataka juu ya nchi.
11 Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
Wafanye wakuu wao kama Orebu na Zeebu, watawala wao kama Zeba na Salmuna,
12 Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
ambao walisema, “Na tumiliki nchi ya malisho ya Mungu.”
13 O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
Ee Mungu wangu, wapeperushe kama mavumbi ya kisulisuli, kama makapi yapeperushwayo na upepo.
14 As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
Kama vile moto uteketezavyo msitu au mwali wa moto unavyounguza milima,
15 So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
wafuatilie kwa tufani yako na kuwafadhaisha kwa dhoruba yako.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
Funika nyuso zao kwa aibu ili watu walitafute jina lako, Ee Bwana.
17 Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
Wao na waaibishwe na kufadhaishwa milele, na waangamie kwa aibu.
18 That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
Hebu wajue kwamba wewe, ambaye jina lako ni Bwana, kwamba wewe peke yako ndiwe Uliye Juu Sana ya dunia yote.
