Psalms 6

1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, a psalm of David.” O Lord, correct me not in thy anger, and chastise me not in thy wrath.

聖歌隊の指揮者によってシェミニテにあわせ琴をもってうたわせたダビデの歌 主よ、あなたの怒りをもって、わたしを責めず、あなたの激しい怒りをもって、わたしを懲しめないでください。

2 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for I am withering away; heal me, O Lord; for my bones are terrified.

主よ、わたしをあわれんでください。わたしは弱り衰えています。主よ、わたしをいやしてください。わたしの骨は悩み苦しんでいます。

3 And my soul is greatly terrified; but thou, O Lord, how long yet—?

わたしの魂もまたいたく悩み苦しんでいます。主よ、あなたはいつまでお怒りになるのですか。

4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: help me for the sake of thy kindness.

主よ、かえりみて、わたしの命をお救いください。あなたのいつくしみにより、わたしをお助けください。

5 For in death men do not remember thee: in the nether world, who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

死においては、あなたを覚えるものはなく、陰府においては、だれがあなたをほめたたえることができましょうか。 (Sheol h7585)

6 I am weary with my sighing; I flood every night my bed; With my tears I moisten my couch.

わたしは嘆きによって疲れ、夜ごとに涙をもって、わたしのふしどをただよわせ、わたしのしとねをぬらした。

7 My eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all my assailants.

わたしの目は憂いによって衰え、もろもろのあだのゆえに弱くなった。

8 Depart from me, all ye workers of wickedness; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

すべて悪を行う者よ、わたしを離れ去れ。主はわたしの泣く声を聞かれた。

9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer.

主はわたしの願いを聞かれた。主はわたしの祈をうけられる。

10 Ashamed and greatly terrified shall become all my enemies; they will turn round, and be made ashamed in a moment.

わたしの敵は恥じて、いたく悩み苦しみ、彼らは退いて、たちどころに恥をうけるであろう。
