< Psalms 142 >
1 “A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A prayer.” With my voice I cry unto the Lord: with my voice I make supplication unto the Lord.
Lungsong khaw thung oh naah lawkthuihaih. Angraeng khaeah tha hoi ka hang; tahmen hnikhaih hoi Angraeng khaeah ka hang.
2 I pour out before him my grief: my distress I recite before him.
A hmaa ah laisaephaih lok to ka thuih moe, ka raihaih to a hmaa ah ka taphong.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me—and thou knowest well my path—on the way whereon I desired to walk they had secretly laid a snare for me.
Ka tak thungah muithla thazok sut naah, ka caehhaih loklam to nang panoek pae. Ka caehhaih loklam ah nihcae mah kai hanah tamquta hoiah dongh ang patung o.
4 Look to the right, and behold, yea, there is no man that recognizeth me: [every] refuge is lost to me; there is no one that careth for my soul.
Bantang bangah ka khet naah, kai panoek kami mi doeh om ai; abuephaih ka tawn ai; ka hinghaih paawt mi doeh om ai.
5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of life.
Aw Angraeng, nang khaeah ka hang; nang loe ka buephaih ah na oh moe, kahing kaminawk prae ah kai ih taham ah na oh, tiah ka thuih.
6 Listen unto my entreaty; for I am very miserable: deliver me from my pursuers; for they are too mighty for me.
Ka poekhaih ka pahnaem boeh pongah, ka hanghaih lok hae tahngai ah; kai pacaekthlaek kaminawk ih ban thung hoiah na pahlong ah; nihcae loe kai pongah thacak o kue.
7 Bring forth out of prison my soul, that I may thank thy name: with me shall the righteous crown themselves, when thou wilt deal bountifully with me.
Na hmin pakoeh thai hanah, thongim thung hoiah na loisak ah; ka nuiah na hoih pongah, katoeng kaminawk loe ka taengah angzo o tih.
