Psalms 104
1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Bendice a Yahvé, alma mía. Yahvé, Dios mío, eres muy grande. Estás revestido de honor y majestad.
2 Who coverest [thyself] with light as [with] a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
Se cubre de luz como de un vestido. Extiende los cielos como una cortina.
3 Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
Coloca las vigas de sus habitaciones en las aguas. Hace de las nubes su carro. Camina sobre las alas del viento.
4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Él hace que sus mensajeros vientos, y sus sirvientes llamas de fuego.
5 [Who] laid the foundations of the earth, [that] it should not be removed for ever.
Él puso los cimientos de la tierra, que no debe ser movido para siempre.
6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as [with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
Lo cubriste con lo profundo como con un manto. Las aguas estaban por encima de las montañas.
7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Ante tu reprimenda huyeron. A la voz de su trueno se apresuraron a alejarse.
8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
Las montañas se elevaron, los valles se hundieron, al lugar que les habías asignado.
9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
Has establecido un límite que no pueden traspasar, para que no vuelvan a cubrir la tierra.
10 He sendeth the springs into the valleys, [which] run among the hills.
Él envía manantiales a los valles. Corren entre las montañas.
11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
Dan de beber a todos los animales del campo. Los burros salvajes sacian su sed.
12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, [which] sing among the branches.
Junto a ellos anidan las aves del cielo. Cantan entre las ramas.
13 He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
Riega las montañas desde sus habitaciones. La tierra está llena del fruto de tus obras.
14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
Hace crecer la hierba para el ganado, y plantas para que el hombre las cultive, para que produzca alimentos de la tierra:
15 And wine [that] maketh glad the heart of man, [and] oil to make [his] face to shine, and bread [which] strengtheneth man’s heart.
vino que alegra el corazón del hombre, aceite para hacer brillar su rostro, y el pan que fortalece el corazón del hombre.
16 The trees of the LORD are full [of sap; ] the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
Los árboles de Yahvé están bien regados, los cedros del Líbano, que ha plantado,
17 Where the birds make their nests: [as for] the stork, the fir trees [are] her house.
donde los pájaros hacen sus nidos. La cigüeña tiene su hogar en los cipreses.
18 The high hills [are] a refuge for the wild goats; [and] the rocks for the conies.
Las altas montañas son para las cabras salvajes. Las rocas son un refugio para los tejones de las rocas.
19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
Él designó la luna para las estaciones. El sol sabe cuándo ponerse.
20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep [forth].
Haces las tinieblas, y es de noche, en la que merodean todos los animales del bosque.
21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
Los jóvenes leones rugen tras su presa, y buscan su alimento en Dios.
22 The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
Sale el sol y se alejan, y se acuestan en sus guaridas.
23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
El hombre sale a su trabajo, a su labor hasta la noche.
24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
¡Yahvé, cuántas son tus obras! Con sabiduría, los has hecho todos. La tierra está llena de sus riquezas.
25 [So is] this great and wide sea, wherein [are] things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
Ahí está el mar, grande y ancho, en el que hay innumerables seres vivos, tanto a los animales pequeños como a los grandes.
26 There go the ships: [there is] that leviathan, [whom] thou hast made to play therein.
Ahí van los barcos, y el leviatán, que se formó para jugar allí.
27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give [them] their meat in due season.
Todos ellos te esperan, para que les des su comida a su debido tiempo.
28 [That] thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
Tú les das; ellos recogen. Abres la mano; se conforman con el bien.
29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
Escondes tu rostro; están turbados. Les quitas el aliento; mueren y vuelven al polvo.
30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Envías tu Espíritu y son creados. Renuevas la cara de la tierra.
31 The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
Que la gloria de Yahvé sea eterna. Que Yahvé se regocije en sus obras.
32 He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
Él mira la tierra y ésta tiembla. Toca las montañas y éstas echan humo.
33 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Cantaré a Yahvé mientras viva. Cantaré alabanzas a mi Dios mientras tenga algún ser.
34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
Que mi meditación sea dulce para él. Me regocijaré en Yahvé.
35 Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
Que los pecadores sean consumidos fuera de la tierra. Que los malvados no sean más. Bendice a Yahvé, mi alma. ¡Alabado sea Yah!
