Job 29
1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
इयोबले आफ्नो बहस जारी राखेर भने:
2 Oh that I were as [in] months past, as [in] the days [when] God preserved me;
“अहो, म मेरा बितेका महिनाहरूको कत्ति धेरै चाहना गर्दछु, किनकि ती दिनहरूमा परमेश्वरले मेरो हेरचाह गर्नुहुन्थ्यो;
3 When his candle shined upon my head, [and when] by his light I walked [through] darkness;
जब उहाँको बत्ती मेरो शिरमाथि चम्कन्थ्यो, र उहाँको ज्योतिद्वारा म अन्धकारमा हिँड्डुल गर्थेँ;
4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God [was] upon my tabernacle;
अहो, सुखका ती मेरा दिनहरू, जब परमेश्वरसँगको घनिष्ठ मित्रताले मेरो घरमा आशिष् ल्याउँथ्यो;
5 When the Almighty [was] yet with me, [when] my children [were] about me;
जब सर्वशक्तिमान् मसँगै हुनुहुन्थ्यो, र मेरा छोराछोरीहरू मेरा चारैतिर हुन्थे;
6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
जब मेरा पाइलाहरू नौनीले भिजेका हुन्थे, र चट्टानले मेरो निम्ति जैतुनको तेलका खोलाहरू बहाउँथ्यो।
7 When I went out to the gate through the city, [when] I prepared my seat in the street!
“जब म सहरको मूलढोकामा जान्थेँ, र सार्वजनिक चोकमा आफ्नो आसन ग्रहण गर्थेँ।
8 The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, [and] stood up.
जवान मानिसहरू मलाई देखेर बाटो छोड्थे, र वृद्ध मानिसहरू आदरसाथ बसेको ठाउँबाट उठ्थे;
9 The princes refrained talking, and laid [their] hand on their mouth.
सहरका प्रमुख मानिसहरू बोल्न छोड्थे, र तिनीहरूले आफ्ना मुख हातले छोप्थे;
10 The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
शासकहरूका आवाज मन्द हुन्थ्यो, र तिनीहरूको जिब्रो तिनीहरूको तालुमा टाँसिन्थ्यो।
11 When the ear heard [me], then it blessed me; and when the eye saw [me], it gave witness to me:
मलाई सुन्नेहरूले मेरो विषयमा राम्रो कुरा गर्थे, र मलाई देख्नेहरूले मेरो गुणगान गर्थे;
12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and [him that had] none to help him.
किनकि सहायताको लागि गुहार्ने गरिब, र सहायता गर्ने कोही नभएका अनाथहरूलाई म छुटाउथेँ।
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
मर्न आँटेको मानिसले मलाई आशिष् दिन्थ्यो; मैले विधवाको हृदयलाई आनन्दले गाउन सक्ने तुल्याउँथेँ।
14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment [was] as a robe and a diadem.
मैले धार्मिकतालाई मेरो लुगाझैँ पहिरने गर्दथेँ; न्याय मेरो लवेदा र मेरो फेटा थियो।
15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet [was] I to the lame.
म अन्धाका निम्ति आँखा, र लङ्गडाका निम्ति पाउहरूझैँ थिएँ।
16 I [was] a father to the poor: and the cause [which] I knew not I searched out.
खाँचोमा परेकाहरूका निम्ति म बुबा थिएँ; म परदेशीहरूको पक्षमा मुद्दा लिन्थेँ।
17 And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
मैले दुष्ट मनिसहरूका बङ्गारा तोडिदिएँ, र तिनीहरूका दाँतहरूबाट पीडितहरूलाई खोसेँ।
18 Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply [my] days as the sand.
“मैले सोच्ने गर्थेँ, ‘म मेरो आफ्नै घरमा मर्नेछु, मेरा दिनहरू बालुवाका कणहरूझैँ धेरै छन्।
19 My root [was] spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
मेरा जराहरू पानीसम्म पुग्नेछन्; र मेरा हाँगाहरूमा रातभरि नै शीत रहनेछ।
20 My glory [was] fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
मेरो गौरव कहिल्यै घट्नेछैन; मेरो धनु सदाकाल मेरो हातमा नयाँ भइरहनेछ।’
21 Unto me [men] gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
“मानिसहरू आशावादी भएर मेरो कुरा सुन्थे, चुपचाप लागेर मेरो सल्लाह पर्खिरहन्थे।
22 After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
मैले बोलिसकेपछि तिनीहरूले भन्ने कुरा रहँदैनथ्यो; मेरा शब्दहरू तिनीहरूका कानमा बिस्तारै पर्दथ्यो।
23 And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide [as] for the latter rain.
तिनीहरूले झरीलाई झैँ मलाई पर्खन्थे; र मेरा वचनहरूलाई बसन्तको झरीझैँ पिउँथे।
24 [If] I laughed on them, they believed [it] not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
मैले तिनीहरूसँग मुस्कुराउँदा तिनीहरूलाई पत्यार लाग्दैनथ्यो; मेरो अनुहारको उज्यालो तिनीहरूका निम्ति विशेष थिए।
25 I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one [that] comforteth the mourners.
तिनीहरूको निम्ति म मार्ग छनौट गरिदिन्थेँ, र तिनीहरूका प्रमुखझैँ भएर बस्थेँ; राजा आफ्ना सेनाहरूसँग बसेझैँ म बस्थेँ; शोक गर्नेहरूलाई सान्त्वना दिने मानिसजस्तै म थिएँ।
