< Job 18 >
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Na Suhini Bildad buaa sɛ,
2 How long will it be before all of you make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
“Ɛberɛ bɛn na wobɛgyae kasa tenten yi? Dwene ho yie, na afei yɛbɛtumi akasa.
3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
Adɛn enti na wofa yɛn sɛ anantwie na wosusu sɛ yɛnnim nyansa yi?
4 He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
Wo a wode abufuo tete wo mu nketenkete, wo enti, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛfiri asase yi so anaasɛ wo enti, wɔnnwiri mmotan mfiri wɔn siberɛ anaa?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
“Omumuyɛfoɔ kanea adum; na ne ogya nnɛre bio.
6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
Hann a ɛwɔ ne ntomadan mu duru sum; kanea a ɛsi ne ho no dum.
7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
Nʼanammɔntuo mu ahoɔden ano bɛbrɛ ase; nʼankasa nhyehyɛeɛ bɛhwe nʼase.
8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walks upon a snare.
Nʼanammɔn de no kɔ afidie mu, na ɔkyinkyini kɔtɔ nʼatena mu.
9 The animal trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
Wɔasum no afidie ahinta wɔ fam; afidie wɔ ne kwan mu.
11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
12 His strength shall be famished, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
Atoyerɛnkyɛm kɔn dɔ no; na sɛ ɔhwe ase a, amanehunu retwɛn no.
13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
Ogya te ne ntomadan mu; na wɔabɔ sɔfe a ɛrederɛ apete nʼatenaeɛ.
16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
Ne nhini wuwu wɔ aseɛ na ne mman nso wu wɔ ɔsoro.
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
Wɔrenkae no asase so bio; na ɔrennya edin wɔ asase so.
18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
Wɔka no firi hann mu kɔ sum mu na wɔpam no firi ewiase.
19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
Ɔnni mma anaa nananom wɔ ne nkurɔfoɔ mu, na nʼase ni biara renka wɔ baabi a ɔtenaeɛ.
20 They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
Nnipa a wɔfiri atɔeɛ fam ho adwiri wɔn wɔ deɛ ato noɔ no ho; na wɔn a wɔwɔ apueeɛ fam abɔ huboa.
21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knows not God.
