1 Corinthians 3
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
E eu, irmãos, não pude vos falar como a espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a meninos em Cristo.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
Com leite eu vos criei, e não com alimento sólido, porque não podíeis; nem mesmo agora ainda podeis;
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
porque ainda sois carnais. Pois, havendo entre vós inveja, brigas, e divisões, por acaso não sois carnais, e andais fazendo conforme o costume humano?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Porque dizendo um: “Eu sou de Paulo”, e outro: “Eu [sou] de Apolo”, por acaso não sois carnais?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
Ora, quem é Paulo, e quem é Apolo, senão servidores, pelos quais crestes, conforme o Senhor deu a cada um?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
Eu plantei; Apolo regou; mas foi Deus quem deu o crescimento.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
De maneira que nem o que planta é algo, nem o que rega; mas sim Deus, que dá o crescimento.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
E o que planta e o que rega são um; mas cada um receberá a sua recompensa segundo o seu trabalho.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
Porque somos cooperadores de Deus; vós sois a plantação de Deus, o edifício de Deus.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
Segundo a graça de Deus que me foi dada, eu, como sábio construtor, pus o fundamento; e outro edifica sobre ele; mas cada um veja como edifica sobre ele.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Pois ninguém pode pôr fundamento diferente do que já está posto, o qual é Jesus Cristo.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
E se alguém sobre este fundamento edificar ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno, palha,
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
a obra de cada um se manifestará; porque o dia a esclarecerá; pois pelo fogo se descobre; e qual é a obra de cada um, o fogo fará a prova.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
Se a obra de alguém que construiu sobre ele permanecer, receberá recompensa.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Se a obra de alguém se queimar, ele sofrerá perda; porém o tal se salvará, todavia, como que [passado] pelo fogo.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Não sabeis vós, que sois o templo de Deus? E que o Espírito de Deus habita em vós?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Se alguém destruir o templo de Deus, Deus ao tal destruirá; porque o templo de Deus é santo, o qual sois vós.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. (aiōn g165)
Ninguém se engane; se alguém entre vós nestes tempos pensa ser sábio, que se faça de louco, para que seja sábio. (aiōn g165)
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
Pois a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura para Deus; porque está escrito: Ele toma aos sábios pela sua própria astúcia.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
E outra vez: O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios, que são vãos.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
Portanto ninguém se orgulhe em seres humanos; porque tudo é vosso,
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Cefas, seja o mundo, seja a vida, seja a morte, seja o presente, seja o futuro; tudo é vosso.
23 And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
Mas vós sois de Cristo; e Cristo, de Deus.
