< Psalms 114 >
1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
Esi Israel do go tso Egipte, esi Yakob ƒe aƒe la do go tso gbe bubu gblɔlawo dome la,
2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
Yuda zu Mawu ƒe kɔkɔeƒe, eye Israel zu eƒe fiaɖuƒe.
3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
Atsiaƒu kpɔe, eye wòsi dzo, Yɔdan tɔsisi hã te yi megbe.
4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
Towo ti kpo abe agbowo ene, eye togbɛwo abe alẽviwo ene.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
O! Atsiaƒu, nu ka ta nèsi ɖo, O! Yɔdan tɔsisi, nu ka ta nète yi megbe ɖo?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
Mi towo, nu ka ta mieti kpo abe agbowo ene, eye mi togbɛwo abe alẽviwo ene ɖo?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of YHWH, at the presence of the Eloah of Jacob;
O! Anyigba, dzo nyanyanya le Aƒetɔ la ŋkume, le Yakob ƒe Mawu la ŋkume,
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
