< Job 13 >

1 Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
“Laba, eriiso lyange lyalaba ebyo byonna, n’okutu kwange ne kuwulira ne mbitegeera.
2 What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
Kye mumanyi nange kye mmanyi; siri wa wansi ku mmwe.
3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with El.
Naye neegomba okwogera n’oyo Ayinzabyonna, era n’okuleeta ensonga zange mu maaso ga Katonda.
4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
Naye mmwe mumpayiriza; muli basawo abatagasa mmwe mwenna!
5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
Kale singa musirika! Olwo lwe mwandibadde n’amagezi.
6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Muwulire kaakano endowooza yange, muwulirize okwegayirira kw’emimwa gyange.
7 Will ye speak wickedly for El? and talk deceitfully for him?
Katonda munaamwogerera nga mwogera ebitali bya butuukirivu? Munaamwogerera eby’obulimba?
8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for El?
Munaamulaga ng’ataliiko luuyi, munaamuwoleza ensonga ze.
9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
Singa akukebera, anaakusanga oli bulungi? Oyinza okumulimba nga bw’oyinza okulimba abantu?
10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
Tayinza butakunenya, singa osaliriza mu bubba.
11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
Ekitiibwa kye ekisukiridde tekyandikutiisizza? Entiisa ye teyandikuguddeko?
12 Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
Ebigambo byammwe ebijjukirwa ngero za vvu, n’okwewolereza kwammwe kwa bbumba.
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
Musirike nze njogere; kyonna ekinantukako kale kintuukeko.
14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
Lwaki neeteeka mu mitawaana, obulamu bwange ne mbutwalira mu mikono gyange?
15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.
Ne bw’anzita, mu ye mwe nnina essuubi, ddala ddala nditwala ensonga zange mu maaso ge.
16 He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
Ddala kino kinaavaamu okusumululwa kwange, kubanga teri muntu atatya Katonda ayinza kwetantala kujja mu maaso ge!
17 Hear diligently my speech, and my declaration with your ears.
Muwulirize ebigambo byange n’obwegendereza; amatu gammwe gawulire bye ŋŋamba.
18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I shall be justified.
Kaakano nga bwe ntegese empoza yange, mmanyi nti nzija kwejeerera.
19 Who is he that will plead with me? for now, if I hold my tongue, I shall give up the ghost.
Waliwo ayinza okuleeta emisango gye nvunaanibwa? Bwe kiba bwe kityo, nzija kusirika nfe.
20 Only do not two things unto me: then will I not hide myself from thee.
Ebintu ebyo ebibiri byokka by’oba ompa, Ayi Katonda, awo sijja kukwekweka.
21 Withdraw thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make me afraid.
Nzigyako omukono gwo, olekere awo okuntiisatiisa n’okunkangakanga.
22 Then call thou, and I will answer: or let me speak, and answer thou me.
Kale nno ompite nzija kukuddamu, oba leka njogere ggwe onziremu.
23 How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
Nsobi meka era bibi bimeka bye nkoze? Ndaga ekibi kyange era n’omusango gwange.
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
Lwaki okweka amaaso go, n’onfuula omulabe wo?
25 Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
Onoobonyaabonya ekikoola ekifuuyiddwa omuyaga? Onooyigga ebisasiro ebikaze?
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
Kubanga ompadiikako ebintu ebiruma, n’ondeetera okuddamu okwetikka ebibi byange eby’omu buvubuka.
27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly unto all my paths; thou settest a print upon the heels of my feet.
Oteeka ebigere byange mu nvuba, era okuuma butiribiri amakubo gange mwe mpita ng’oteeka obubonero ku bisinziiro by’ebigere byange.
28 And he, as a rotten thing, consumeth, as a garment that is moth eaten.
Bw’atyo omuntu bw’aggwaawo ng’ekintu ekivundu, ng’olugoye oluliiriddwa ennyenje.”
