Romans 7
1 Knowe yee not, brethren, (for I speake to them that knowe the Lawe) that the Lawe hath dominion ouer a man as long as he liueth?
ஹே ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ண வ்யவஸ்தா²வித³: ப்ரதி மமேத³ம்’ நிவேத³நம்’| விதி⁴: கேவலம்’ யாவஜ்ஜீவம்’ மாநவோபர்ய்யதி⁴பதித்வம்’ கரோதீதி யூயம்’ கிம்’ ந ஜாநீத²?
2 For the woman which is in subiection to a man, is bound by the Lawe to the man, while he liueth: but if the man bee dead, shee is deliuered from the lawe of the man.
யாவத்காலம்’ பதி ர்ஜீவதி தாவத்காலம் ஊடா⁴ பா⁴ர்ய்யா வ்யவஸ்த²யா தஸ்மிந் ப³த்³தா⁴ திஷ்ட²தி கிந்து யதி³ பதி ர்ம்ரியதே தர்ஹி ஸா நாரீ பத்யு ர்வ்யவஸ்தா²தோ முச்யதே|
3 So then, if while the man liueth, she taketh another man, she shalbe called an adulteresse: but if the man be dead, she is free from the Law, so that shee is not an adulteresse, though shee take another man.
ஏதத்காரணாத் பத்யுர்ஜீவநகாலே நாரீ யத்³யந்யம்’ புருஷம்’ விவஹதி தர்ஹி ஸா வ்யபி⁴சாரிணீ ப⁴வதி கிந்து யதி³ ஸ பதி ர்ம்ரியதே தர்ஹி ஸா தஸ்யா வ்யவஸ்தா²யா முக்தா ஸதீ புருஷாந்தரேண வ்யூடா⁴பி வ்யபி⁴சாரிணீ ந ப⁴வதி|
4 So yee, my brethren, are dead also to the Law by ye body of Christ, that ye should be vnto an other, euen vnto him that is raised vp from the dead, that we should bring foorth fruite vnto God.
ஹே மம ப்⁴ராத்ரு’க³ண, ஈஸ்²வரநிமித்தம்’ யத³ஸ்மாகம்’ ப²லம்’ ஜாயதே தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஸ்²மஸா²நாத்³ உத்தா²பிதேந புருஷேண ஸஹ யுஷ்மாகம்’ விவாஹோ யத்³ ப⁴வேத் தத³ர்த²ம்’ க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்ய ஸ²ரீரேண யூயம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²ம்’ ப்ரதி ம்ரு’தவந்த: |
5 For when we were in ye flesh, the affections of sinnes, which were by the Law, had force in our members, to bring foorth fruit vnto death.
யதோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ ஸா²ரீரிகாசரணஸமயே மரணநிமித்தம்’ ப²லம் உத்பாத³யிதும்’ வ்யவஸ்த²யா தூ³ஷித: பாபாபி⁴லாஷோ(அ)ஸ்மாகம் அங்கே³ஷு ஜீவந் ஆஸீத்|
6 But now we are deliuered from the Lawe, he being dead in whom we were holden, that we should serue in newnesse of Spirite, and not in the oldnesse of the letter.
கிந்து ததா³ யஸ்யா வ்யவஸ்தா²யா வஸே² ஆஸ்மஹி ஸாம்ப்ரதம்’ தாம்’ ப்ரதி ம்ரு’தத்வாத்³ வயம்’ தஸ்யா அதீ⁴நத்வாத் முக்தா இதி ஹேதோரீஸ்²வரோ(அ)ஸ்மாபி⁴: புராதநலிகி²தாநுஸாராத் ந ஸேவிதவ்ய: கிந்து நவீநஸ்வபா⁴வேநைவ ஸேவிதவ்ய:
7 What shall we say then? Is the Lawe sinne? God forbid. Nay, I knewe not sinne, but by the Lawe: for I had not knowen lust, except the Lawe had sayd, Thou shalt not lust.
தர்ஹி வயம்’ கிம்’ ப்³ரூம: ? வ்யவஸ்தா² கிம்’ பாபஜநிகா ப⁴வதி? நேத்த²ம்’ ப⁴வது| வ்யவஸ்தா²ம் அவித்³யமாநாயாம்’ பாபம்’ கிம் இத்யஹம்’ நாவேத³ம்’; கிஞ்ச லோப⁴ம்’ மா கார்ஷீரிதி சேத்³ வ்யவஸ்தா²க்³ரந்தே² லிகி²தம்’ நாப⁴விஷ்யத் தர்ஹி லோப⁴: கிம்பூ⁴தஸ்தத³ஹம்’ நாஜ்ஞாஸ்யம்’|
8 But sinne tooke an occasion by ye commandement, and wrought in me all maner of concupiscence: for without the Lawe sinne is dead.
கிந்து வ்யவஸ்த²யா பாபம்’ சி²த்³ரம்’ ப்ராப்யாஸ்மாகம் அந்த: ஸர்வ்வவித⁴ம்’ குத்ஸிதாபி⁴லாஷம் அஜநயத்; யதோ வ்யவஸ்தா²யாம் அவித்³யமாநாயாம்’ பாபம்’ ம்ரு’தம்’|
9 For I once was aliue, without the Law: but when the commandement came, sinne reuiued,
அபரம்’ பூர்வ்வம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²யாம் அவித்³யமாநாயாம் அஹம் அஜீவம்’ தத: பரம் ஆஜ்ஞாயாம் உபஸ்தி²தாயாம் பாபம் அஜீவத் ததா³ஹம் அம்ரியே|
10 But I died: and the same commandement which was ordeined vnto life, was found to be vnto me vnto death.
இத்த²ம்’ ஸதி ஜீவநநிமித்தா யாஜ்ஞா ஸா மம ம்ரு’த்யுஜநிகாப⁴வத்|
11 For sinne tooke occasion by the commandement, and deceiued me, and thereby slewe me.
யத: பாபம்’ சி²த்³ரம்’ ப்ராப்ய வ்யவஸ்தி²தாதே³ஸே²ந மாம்’ வஞ்சயித்வா தேந மாம் அஹந்|
12 Wherefore the Lawe is holy, and that commandement is holy, and iust, and good.
அதஏவ வ்யவஸ்தா² பவித்ரா, ஆதே³ஸ²ஸ்²ச பவித்ரோ ந்யாய்யோ ஹிதகாரீ ச ப⁴வதி|
13 Was that then which is good, made death vnto me? God forbid: but sinne, that it might appeare sinne, wrought death in me by that which is good, that sinne might be out of measure sinfull by the commandement.
தர்ஹி யத் ஸ்வயம்’ ஹிதக்ரு’த் தத் கிம்’ மம ம்ரு’த்யுஜநகம் அப⁴வத்? நேத்த²ம்’ ப⁴வது; கிந்து பாபம்’ யத் பாதகமிவ ப்ரகாஸ²தே ததா² நிதே³ஸே²ந பாபம்’ யத³தீவ பாதகமிவ ப்ரகாஸ²தே தத³ர்த²ம்’ ஹிதோபாயேந மம மரணம் அஜநயத்|
14 For we knowe that the Law is spirituall, but I am carnall, solde vnder sinne.
வ்யவஸ்தா²த்மபோ³தி⁴கேதி வயம்’ ஜாநீம: கிந்த்வஹம்’ ஸா²ரீரதாசாரீ பாபஸ்ய க்ரீதகிங்கரோ வித்³யே|
15 For I alow not that which I do: for what I would, that do I not: but what I hate, that do I.
யதோ யத் கர்ம்ம கரோமி தத் மம மநோ(அ)பி⁴மதம்’ நஹி; அபரம்’ யந் மம மநோ(அ)பி⁴மதம்’ தந்ந கரோமி கிந்து யத்³ ரு’தீயே தத் கரோமி|
16 If I doe then that which I woulde not, I consent to the Lawe, that it is good.
ததா²த்வே யந் மமாநபி⁴மதம்’ தத்³ யதி³ கரோமி தர்ஹி வ்யவஸ்தா² ஸூத்தமேதி ஸ்வீகரோமி|
17 Nowe then, it is no more I, that doe it, but sinne that dwelleth in me.
அதஏவ ஸம்ப்ரதி தத் கர்ம்ம மயா க்ரியத இதி நஹி கிந்து மம ஸ²ரீரஸ்தே²ந பாபேநைவ க்ரியதே|
18 For I know, that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to wil is preset with me: but I find no meanes to perform that which is good.
யதோ மயி, அர்த²தோ மம ஸ²ரீரே, கிமப்யுத்தமம்’ ந வஸதி, ஏதத்³ அஹம்’ ஜாநாமி; மமேச்சு²கதாயாம்’ திஷ்ட²ந்த்யாமப்யஹம் உத்தமகர்ம்மஸாத⁴நே ஸமர்தோ² ந ப⁴வாமி|
19 For I doe not the good thing, which I would, but the euil, which I would not, that do I.
யதோ யாமுத்தமாம்’ க்ரியாம்’ கர்த்துமஹம்’ வாஞ்சா²மி தாம்’ ந கரோமி கிந்து யத் குத்ஸிதம்’ கர்ம்ம கர்த்தும் அநிச்சு²கோ(அ)ஸ்மி ததே³வ கரோமி|
20 Nowe if I do that I would not, it is no more I that doe it, but the sinne that dwelleth in me.
அதஏவ யத்³யத் கர்ம்ம கர்த்தும்’ மமேச்சா² ந ப⁴வதி தத்³ யதி³ கரோமி தர்ஹி தத் மயா ந க்ரியதே, மமாந்தர்வர்த்திநா பாபேநைவ க்ரியதே|
21 I finde then that when I would doe good, I am thus yoked, that euill is present with me.
ப⁴த்³ரம்’ கர்த்தும் இச்சு²கம்’ மாம்’ யோ (அ)ப⁴த்³ரம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ப்ரவர்த்தயதி தாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ ஸ்வபா⁴வமேகம்’ மயி பஸ்²யாமி|
22 For I delite in the Law of God, concerning the inner man:
அஹம் ஆந்தரிகபுருஷேணேஸ்²வரவ்யவஸ்தா²யாம்’ ஸந்துஷ்ட ஆஸே;
23 But I see another Law in my members, rebelling against the Lawe of my minde, and leading me captiue vnto the lawe of sinne, which is in my members.
கிந்து தத்³விபரீதம்’ யுத்⁴யந்தம்’ தத³ந்யமேகம்’ ஸ்வபா⁴வம்’ மதீ³யாங்க³ஸ்தி²தம்’ ப்ரபஸ்²யாமி, ஸ மதீ³யாங்க³ஸ்தி²தபாபஸ்வபா⁴வஸ்யாயத்தம்’ மாம்’ கர்த்தும்’ சேஷ்டதே|
24 O wretched man that I am, who shall deliuer me from the body of this death!
ஹா ஹா யோ(அ)ஹம்’ து³ர்பா⁴க்³யோ மநுஜஸ்தம்’ மாம் ஏதஸ்மாந் ம்ரு’தாச்ச²ரீராத் கோ நிஸ்தாரயிஷ்யதி?
25 I thanke God through Iesus Christ our Lord. Then I my selfe in my minde serue the Lawe of God, but in my flesh the lawe of sinne.
அஸ்மாகம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ணா யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டேந நிஸ்தாரயிதாரம் ஈஸ்²வரம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி| அதஏவ ஸ²ரீரேண பாபவ்யவஸ்தா²யா மநஸா து ஈஸ்²வரவ்யவஸ்தா²யா: ஸேவநம்’ கரோமி|
