Psalms 46
1 To him that excelleth upon Alamoth a song committed to the sonnes of Korah. God is our hope and strength, and helpe in troubles, ready to be found.
Dem Musikmeister. Von den Korachiten, nach Jungfrauenweise, ein Lied. Gott ist uns Zuflucht und Stärke, als mächtige Hilfe in Nöten erfunden.
2 Therefore will not we feare, though the earth be moued, and though the mountaines fall into the middes of the sea.
Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenn gleich die Erde wiche, und die Berge wankten und mitten ins Meer stürzten.
3 Though the waters thereof rage and be troubled, and the mountaines shake at the surges of the same. (Selah)
Mögen seine Wasser toben und schäumen, mögen von seinem Ungestüm die Berge erbeben: Jahwe der Heerscharen ist mit uns, eine Burg für uns der Gott Jakobs. (Sela)
4 Yet there is a Riuer, whose streames shall make glad the citie of God: euen the Sanctuarie of the Tabernacles of the most High.
Ein Strom ist, dessen Arme erfreuen die Stadt Gottes, die heilige Wohnung des Höchsten.
5 God is in the middes of it: therefore shall it not be moued: God shall helpe it very earely.
Gott ist in ihrer Mitte, sie wird nicht wanken; Gott hilft ihr, wenn der Morgen anbricht.
6 When the nations raged, and the kingdomes were moued, God thundred, and the earth melted.
Es tobten Völker, es wankten Königreiche: Er ließ seine Stimme erschallen, es zerschmolz die Erde.
7 The Lord of hostes is with vs: the God of Iaakob is our refuge. (Selah)
Jahwe der Heerscharen ist mit uns, eine Burg für uns der Gott Jakobs. (Sela)
8 Come, and behold the workes of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
Kommt, schaut die Thaten Jahwes, der Entsetzen auf Erden angerichtet hat;
9 He maketh warres to cease vnto the endes of the world: he breaketh the bowe and cutteth the speare, and burneth the chariots with fire.
der den Kriegen steuert bis ans Ende der Erde, Bogen zerbricht und Spieße zerhaut, Wagen mit Feuer verbrennt.
10 Be still and knowe that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, and I wil be exalted in the earth.
Laßt ab und erkennt, daß ich Gott bin; erhaben bin ich unter den Völkern, erhaben auf Erden!
