Psalms 26
1 A Psalme of David. Judge me, O Lord, for I haue walked in mine innocency: my trust hath bene also in the Lord: therefore shall I not slide.
Sodi me, oh Gospod, kajti hodil sem v svoji neokrnjenosti. Zaupal sem tudi v Gospoda, zato ne bom zdrsnil.
2 Proue me, O Lord, and trie mee: examine my reines, and mine heart.
Preišči me, oh Gospod in preizkusi me; preizkusi mojo notranjost in moje srce.
3 For thy louing kindnesse is before mine eyes: therefore haue I walked in thy trueth.
Kajti tvoja ljubeča skrbnost je pred mojimi očmi in hodil sem v tvoji resnici.
4 I haue not hanted with vaine persons, neither kept companie with the dissemblers.
Nisem se usedal z domišljavimi osebami niti ne bom vstopal s hinavci.
5 I haue hated the assemblie of the euill, and haue not companied with the wicked.
Sovražil sem skupnost hudodelcev in z zlobnimi ne bom sedel.
6 I will wash mine handes in innocencie, O Lord, and compasse thine altar,
V nedolžnosti si bom umival roke; tako bom hodil okoli tvojega oltarja, oh Gospod,
7 That I may declare with the voyce of thankesgiuing, and set foorth all thy wonderous woorkes.
da bom lahko razglašal z glasom zahvaljevanja in pripovedoval o vseh tvojih čudovitih delih.
8 O Lord, I haue loued the habitation of thine house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth.
Gospod, ljubil sem prebivališče tvoje hiše in kraj, kjer prebiva tvoja čast.
9 Gather not my soule with the sinners, nor my life with the bloodie men:
Ne zbiraj moje duše z grešniki niti mojega življenja s krvoločnimi ljudmi.
10 In whose handes is wickednes, and their right hand is full of bribes.
V čigar rokah je vragolija, njihova desnica pa je polna podkupnin.
11 But I will walke in mine innocencie: redeeme me therefore, and be mercifull vnto me.
Toda kar se mene tiče, jaz bom hodil v svoji neokrnjenosti. Odkupi me in bodi mi usmiljen.
12 My foote standeth in vprightnesse: I will praise thee, O Lord, in the Congregations.
Moje stopalo stoji na ravnem kraju. V skupnostih bom blagoslavljal Gospoda.
