Psalms 16
1 Michtam of Dauid. Preserue mee, O God: for in thee doe I trust.
Cântico de Davi: Guarda-me, ó Deus; porque eu confio em ti.
2 O my soule, thou hast sayd vnto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my weldoing extendeth not to thee,
Tu, [minha alma], disseste ao SENHOR: Tu és meu Senhor; minha bondade não [chega] até ti.
3 But to the Saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent: all my delite is in them.
[Mas] aos santos que [estão] na terra, e [a] os ilustres, nos quais está todo o meu prazer.
4 The sorowes of them, that offer to an other god, shall be multiplied: their offerings of blood will I not offer, neither make mention of their names with my lips.
As dores se multiplicarão daqueles que se apressam [para servir] a outros [deuses]; eu não oferecerei seus sacrifícios de derramamento de sangue, e não tomarei seus nomes em meus lábios.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou shalt mainteine my lot.
O SENHOR é a porção da minha herança e o meu cálice; tu sustentas a minha sorte.
6 The lines are fallen vnto me in pleasant places: yea, I haue a faire heritage.
Em lugares agradáveis foram postos os limites [do meu terreno]; sim, eu recebo uma bela propriedade.
7 I wil prayse the Lord, who hath giuen me counsell: my reines also teach me in the nightes.
Eu louvarei ao SENHOR, que me aconselhou; até de noite meus sentimentos me ensinam.
8 I haue set the Lord alwayes before me: for hee is at my right hand: therefore I shall not slide.
Ponho ao SENHOR continuamente diante de mim; porque [ele está] à minha direita; nunca serei abalado.
9 Wherefore mine heart is glad and my tongue reioyceth: my flesh also doeth rest in hope.
Por isso meu coração está contente, e minha glória se alegra; certamente minha carne habitará em segurança.
10 For thou wilt not leaue my soule in the graue: neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
Porque tu não deixarás a minha alma no Xeol, nem permitirás que teu Santo veja a degradação. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is the fulnesse of ioy: and at thy right hand there are pleasures for euermore.
Tu me farás conhecer o caminho da vida; fartura de alegrias [há] em tua presença; agrados estão em tua mão direita para sempre.
