Psalms 145
1 A Psalme of David of Praise. O my God and King, I will extold thee, and will blesse thy Name for euer and euer.
Louange. De David. Je t’exalterai, ô mon Dieu, mon roi! Et je bénirai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
2 I will blesse thee dayly, and prayse thy Name for euer and euer.
Chaque jour je te bénirai, Et je célébrerai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.
3 Great is the Lord, and most worthy to be praysed, and his greatnes is incomprehensible.
L’Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, Et sa grandeur est insondable.
4 Generation shall praise thy works vnto generation, and declare thy power.
Que chaque génération célèbre tes œuvres, Et publie tes hauts faits!
5 I wil meditate of the beautie of thy glorious maiestie, and thy wonderfull workes,
Je dirai la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté; Je chanterai tes merveilles.
6 And they shall speake of the power of thy fearefull actes, and I will declare thy greatnes.
On parlera de ta puissance redoutable, Et je raconterai ta grandeur.
7 They shall breake out into the mention of thy great goodnes, and shall sing aloude of thy righteousnesse.
Qu’on proclame le souvenir de ton immense bonté, Et qu’on célèbre ta justice!
8 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great mercie.
L’Éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, Lent à la colère et plein de bonté.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercies are ouer all his workes.
L’Éternel est bon envers tous, Et ses compassions s’étendent sur toutes ses œuvres.
10 All thy workes prayse thee, O Lord, and thy Saints blesse thee.
Toutes tes œuvres te loueront, ô Éternel! Et tes fidèles te béniront.
11 They shewe the glory of thy kingdome, and speake of thy power,
Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, Et ils proclameront ta puissance,
12 To cause his power to be knowen to the sonnes of men, and the glorious renoume of his kingdome.
Pour faire connaître aux fils de l’homme ta puissance Et la splendeur glorieuse de ton règne.
13 Thy kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and thy dominion endureth throughout all ages.
Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, Et ta domination subsiste dans tous les âges.
14 The Lord vpholdeth all that fall, and lifteth vp all that are ready to fall.
L’Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.
15 The eyes of all waite vpon thee, and thou giuest them their meate in due season.
Les yeux de tous espèrent en toi, Et tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and fillest all things liuing of thy good pleasure.
Tu ouvres ta main, Et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui a vie.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his wayes, and holy in all his workes.
L’Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, Et miséricordieux dans toutes ses œuvres.
18 The Lord is neere vnto all that call vpon him: yea, to all that call vpon him in trueth.
L’Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l’invoquent, De tous ceux qui l’invoquent avec sincérité;
19 He wil fulfill the desire of them that feare him: he also wil heare their cry, and wil saue them.
Il accomplit les désirs de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri et il les sauve.
20 The Lord preserueth all them that loue him: but he will destroy all the wicked.
L’Éternel garde tous ceux qui l’aiment, Et il détruit tous les méchants.
21 My mouth shall speake the prayse of the Lord, and all flesh shall blesse his holy Name for euer and euer.
Que ma bouche publie la louange de l’Éternel, Et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, A toujours et à perpétuité!
