Psalms 103
1 A Psalme of David. My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and all that is within me, prayse his holy Name.
Von David. - Den Herrn lobpreise, meine Seele, mein ganzes Herz den heiligen Namen sein!
2 My soule, prayse thou the Lord, and forget not all his benefites.
Lobpreis den Herrn, du, meine Seele! Vergiß nicht, was er Gutes dir getan!
3 Which forgiueth all thine iniquitie, and healeth all thine infirmities.
Er ist's, der alle deine Schuld vergibt, der alle deine Leiden heilt,
4 Which redeemeth thy life from the graue, and crowneth thee with mercy and compassions.
der vor dem Grab dein Leben rettet, mit Huld und Liebe dich umgibt,
5 Which satisfieth thy mouth with good things: and thy youth is renued like the eagles.
mit Segen dein Verlangen stillt und dich dem Phönix gleich verjüngt.
6 The Lord executeth righteousnes and iudgement to all that are oppressed.
Gerechtigkeit übt stets der Herr, schafft allen Unterdrückten Recht.
7 He made his wayes knowen vnto Moses, and his workes vnto the children of Israel.
Er zeigt, wie einst dem Moses seine Wege, den Kindern Israels all seine Taten.
8 The Lord is full of compassion and mercie, slowe to anger and of great kindnesse.
Barmherzig ist der Herr und gnädig, langmütig und von großer Huld.
9 He will not alway chide, neither keepe his anger for euer.
Er zürnt nicht immerfort; noch trägt er ewig nach.
10 He hath not dealt with vs after our sinnes, nor rewarded vs according to our iniquities.
Er tut uns nicht nach unsren Sünden, vergüt uns nicht nach unsren Missetaten.
11 For as high as the heauen is aboue ye earth, so great is his mercie toward them that feare him.
So hoch der Himmel über dieser Erde, so überragend seine Liebe über denen, die ihn fürchten.
12 As farre as the East is from the West: so farre hath he remooued our sinnes from vs.
So fern der Morgen von dem Abend ist, entfernt er unsere Schuld von uns.
13 As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that feare him.
So innig, wie ein Vater seine Kinder liebt, so liebt der Herr die, so ihn fürchten.
14 For he knoweth whereof we be made: he remembreth that we are but dust.
Er kennt ja unsere Art, ist eingedenk, daß wir aus Staub.
15 The dayes of man are as grasse: as a flowre of the fielde, so florisheth he.
Der Sterbliche! Wie Gras sind seine Tage, er blüht wie eine Blume auf dem Felde.
16 For the winde goeth ouer it, and it is gone, and the place thereof shall knowe it no more.
Wenn sie ein Lüftchen anhaucht, ist sie weg, und ihre Stätte kennt sie nimmer.
17 But the louing kindnesse of the Lord endureth for euer and euer vpon them that feare him, and his righteousnes vpon childrens children,
Die Huld des Herrn jedoch ruht für und für auf denen, die ihn fürchten, und seine Liebe auf den Kindeskindern,
18 Vnto them that keepe his couenant, and thinke vpon his commandements to doe them.
die seinen Bund bewahren und seine Vorschriften erfüllen wollen.
19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in heauen, and his Kingdome ruleth ouer all.
Der Herr hat seinen Thron im Himmel aufgestellt; doch seine Herrschaft waltet über alles.
20 Prayse the Lord, ye his Angels, that excell in strength, that doe his commandement in obeying the voyce of his worde.
Lobpreist den Herrn, ihr, seine Engel, ihr starken Helden, die ihr seinen Willen tut und seinem Donnerrufe folgt!
21 Prayse the Lord, all ye his hostes, ye his seruants that doe his pleasure.
Lobpreist den Herrn, all seine Heere! Ihr Diener, die Vollstrecker seines Willens!
22 Prayse the Lord, all ye his workes, in all places of his dominion: my soule, prayse thou the Lord.
Lobpreist den Herrn, all seine Werke an allen Orten seiner Herrschaft! Lobpreis den Herrn, du, meine Seele!
