Then all his sonnes and all his daughters rose vp to comfort him, but he woulde not be comforted, but said, Surely I will go downe into the graue vnto my sonne mourning: so his father wept for him. (Sheol h7585)
Und ob auch alle seine Söhne und Töchter ihn zu trösten suchten, wollte er sich doch nicht trösten lassen, sondern sprach: Trauernd werde ich zu meinem Sohne hinabsteigen in die Unterwelt! So beweinte ihn sein Vater. (Sheol h7585)
But he said, My sonne shall not go downe with you: for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if death come vnto him by the way which ye goe, then ye shall bring my gray head with sorow vnto the graue. (Sheol h7585)
Er antwortete: Mein Sohn soll nicht mit euch reisen; denn sein Bruder ist tot, und er ist allein übrig. Wenn ihm ein Unfall zustieße auf dem Wege, den ihr ziehen müßt, so würdet ihr schuld daran sein, wenn ich mit meinem grauen Haar voller Jammer hinunter müßte in die Unterwelt. (Sheol h7585)
Nowe yee take this also away from me: if death take him, then yee shall bring my graye head in sorowe to the graue. (Sheol h7585)
Wenn ihr mir nun auch diesen noch wegnehmt, und ihm ein Unglück zustoßen sollte, so wäret ihr schuld daran, wenn ich mit meinem grauen Haar in schwerem Leid hinunter müßte in die Unterwelt! (Sheol h7585)
Then when hee shall see that the childe is not come, he will die: so shall thy seruants bring the graye head of thy seruant our father with sorowe to the graue. (Sheol h7585)
so würde er, sobald er gewahr würde, daß der Knabe nicht mehr bei uns ist, sterben, und deine Sklaven wären schuld daran, wenn dein Sklave, unser Vater, mit seinem grauen Haar voller Jammer hinab müßte in die Unterwelt. (Sheol h7585)
But if the Lord make a newe thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallowe them vp with all that they haue, and they goe downe quicke into ye pit, then ye shall vnderstand that these men haue prouoked the Lord. (Sheol h7585)
Wenn aber Jahwe etwas Unerhörtes schafft, und die Erde ihren Mund aufthut und sie mit allem, was ihnen gehört, verschlingt, so daß sie lebendig in die Unterwelt hinabfahren, - dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß diese Männer Jahwe gelästert haben! (Sheol h7585)
So they and all that they had, went down aliue into the pit, and the earth couered them: so they perished from among the Congregation. (Sheol h7585)

For fire is kindled in my wrath, and shall burne vnto the bottome of hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountaines. (Sheol h7585)

The Lord killeth and maketh aliue: bringeth downe to the graue and raiseth vp. (Sheol h7585)

Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee. (Sheol h7585)

And your couenant with death shalbe disanulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when a scourge shall runne ouer and passe through, then shall ye be trode downe by it. (Sheol h7585)

And they shall not lie with the valiant of the vncircumcised, that are fallen, which are gone down to the graue, with their weapons of warre, and haue laied their swords vnder their heads, but their iniquitie shalbe vpon their bones: because they were the feare of the mighty in the lande of the liuing. Sie liegen nicht bei den Helden, den in grauer Vorzeit Gefallenen, die in ihrer Kriegsrüstung hinabstiegen in die Unterwelt, denen man ihre Schwerter legte unter ihre Häupter und auf deren Gebeinen ihre Schilde lagen; denn ein Schrecken vor den Helden herrschte im Lande der Lebendigen. I wil redeeme them from the power of the graue: I will deliuer them from death: O death, I wil be thy death: O graue, I will be thy destruction: repentance is hid from mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
