Ephesians 4
1 I therefore, being prisoner in the Lord, praie you that yee walke worthie of the vocation whereunto yee are called,
Eu, portanto, prisioneiro no Senhor, suplico-lhe que caminhe dignamente do chamado com o qual foi chamado,
2 With all humblenesse of minde, and meekenesse, with long suffering, supporting one an other through loue,
com toda a humildade e humildade, com paciência, suportando uns com os outros no amor,
3 Endeuouring to keepe the vnitie of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
being ansioso para manter a unidade do Espírito no vínculo da paz.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, euen as yee are called in one hope of your vocation.
Há um só corpo e um só Espírito, como vocês também foram chamados em uma só esperança de seu chamado,
5 There is one Lord, one Faith, one Baptisme,
um só Senhor, uma só fé, um só batismo,
6 One God and Father of all, which is aboue all, and through all, and in you all.
um só Deus e Pai de todos, que está sobre todos e através de todos e em todos nós.
7 But vnto euery one of vs is giuen grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Mas para cada um de nós, a graça foi dada de acordo com a medida do dom de Cristo.
8 Wherfore he saith, Whe he asceded vp on hie, he led captiuity captiue, and gaue gifts vnto men.
Portanto, diz ele, “Quando ele subiu no alto, ele levou cativo em cativeiro, e dava presentes às pessoas”.
9 (Nowe, in that hee ascended, what is it but that he had also descended first into the lowest partes of the earth?
Agora isto, “Ele subiu”, o que é, mas que ele também desceu primeiro para as partes mais baixas da terra?
10 Hee that descended, is euen the same that ascended, farre aboue all heauens, that hee might fill all things)
Aquele que desceu é aquele que também subiu muito acima de todos os céus, para que pudesse preencher todas as coisas.
11 Hee therefore gaue some to be Apostles, and some Prophets, and some Euangelists, and some Pastours, and Teachers,
Ele deu alguns para serem apóstolos; e alguns, profetas; e alguns, evangelistas; e alguns, pastores e professores;
12 For the repairing of the Saintes, for the woorke of the ministerie, and for the edification of the bodie of Christ,
para o aperfeiçoamento dos santos, para o trabalho de servir, para a edificação do corpo de Cristo,
13 Till we all meete together (in the vnitie of faith and that acknowledging of the Sonne of God) vnto a perfite man, and vnto the measure of the age of the fulnesse of Christ,
até que todos cheguemos à unidade da fé e do conhecimento do Filho de Deus, a um homem plenamente crescido, à medida da estatura da plenitude de Cristo,
14 That we henceforth be no more children, wauering and caried about with euery winde of doctrine, by the deceit of men, and with craftines, whereby they lay in wait to deceiue.
para que não sejamos mais crianças, jogadas para trás e para frente e levadas por todos os ventos da doutrina, pelo truque dos homens, em astúcia, após as artimanhas do erro;
15 But let vs folowe the truth in loue, and in all things, grow vp into him, which is the head, that is, Christ.
mas falando a verdade no amor, podemos crescer em todas as coisas naquele que é a cabeça, Cristo,
16 By whome al the body being coupled and knit together by euery ioynt, for ye furniture therof (according to the effectual power, which is in the measure of euery part) receiueth increase of the body, vnto the edifying of itselfe in loue.
de quem todo o corpo, sendo ajustado e unido através daquilo que cada junta fornece, de acordo com o trabalho em medida de cada parte individual, faz o corpo crescer para a construção de si mesmo no amor.
17 This I say therefore and testifie in the Lord, that yee hencefoorth walke not as other Gentiles walke, in vanitie of their minde,
Isto eu digo, portanto, e testifico no Senhor, que vocês não andam mais como os demais gentios também andam, na futilidade de sua mente,
18 Hauing their vnderstanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardnesse of their heart:
sendo obscurecidos em seu entendimento, alienados da vida de Deus por causa da ignorância que há neles, por causa do endurecimento de seus corações.
19 Which being past feeling, haue giuen themselues vnto wantonnesse, to woorke all vncleannesse, euen with griedinesse.
Eles, tendo-se tornado insensíveis, entregaram-se à luxúria, para trabalhar toda imundícia com a ganância.
20 But yee haue not so learned Christ,
Mas vocês não aprenderam Cristo dessa maneira,
21 If so be yee haue heard him, and haue bene taught by him, as the trueth is in Iesus,
se de fato o ouviram e foram ensinados nEle, como a verdade está em Jesus:
22 That is, that yee cast off, concerning the conuersation in time past, that olde man, which is corrupt through the deceiueable lustes,
que vocês afastam, como em relação ao seu modo de vida anterior, o velho homem que se corrompe depois das luxúrias do engano,
23 And be renued in the spirit of your minde,
e que vocês se renovam no espírito de sua mente,
24 And put on ye new man, which after God is created vnto righteousnes, and true holines.
e se revestem do novo homem, que à semelhança de Deus foi criado na justiça e na santidade da verdade.
25 Wherefore cast off lying, and speake euery man truth vnto his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Portanto, pondo de lado a falsidade, falar a verdade cada um com seu próximo, pois somos membros um do outro.
26 Bee angrie, but sinne not: let not the sunne goe downe vpon your wrath,
“Fique zangado e não peque”. Não deixe o sol se pôr sobre sua ira,
27 Neither giue place to the deuill.
e não dê lugar ao diabo.
28 Let him that stole, steale no more: but let him rather labour, and worke with his handes the thing which is good, that hee may haue to giue vnto him that needeth.
Não deixe mais aquele que roubou roubar; ao contrário, deixe-o trabalhar, produzindo com suas mãos algo que é bom, que ele pode ter algo para dar a quem tem necessidade.
29 Let no corrupt comunication proceed out of your mouths: but that which is good, to ye vse of edifying, that it may minister grace vnto the hearers.
Que nenhum discurso corrupto saia de sua boca, mas apenas o que é bom para construir outros como a necessidade pode ser, para que possa dar graça àqueles que ouvem.
30 And grieue not the holy Spirit of God, by whom ye are sealed vnto ye day of redemption.
Não entristeça o Espírito Santo de Deus, em quem você foi selado para o dia da redenção.
31 Let all bitternesse, and anger, and wrath, crying, and euill speaking be put away from you, with all maliciousnesse.
Let toda amargura, ira, raiva, clamor e calúnia sejam afastados de vocês, com toda malícia.
32 Be ye courteous one to another, and tender hearted, freely forgiuing one another, euen as God for Christes sake, freely forgaue you.
E sejam gentis uns com os outros, de coração terno, perdoando-se uns aos outros, assim como Deus também em Cristo vos perdoou.
