Matthew 28
1 Early Sunday morning, at dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.
Passato il sabato, all'alba del primo giorno della settimana, Maria di Màgdala e l'altra Maria andarono a visitare il sepolcro.
2 All of a sudden there was a tremendous earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled away the stone, and sat on it.
Ed ecco che vi fu un gran terremoto: un angelo del Signore, sceso dal cielo, si accostò, rotolò la pietra e si pose a sedere su di essa.
3 His face blazed like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.
Il suo aspetto era come la folgore e il suo vestito bianco come la neve.
4 The guards shook with fear, falling down as if they were dead.
Per lo spavento che ebbero di lui le guardie tremarono tramortite.
5 The angel told the women, “Don't be afraid! I know you're looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
Ma l'angelo disse alle donne: «Non abbiate paura, voi! So che cercate Gesù il crocifisso.
6 He's not here. He's risen from the dead, just as he said he would. Come and see where the Lord was lying.
Non è qui. E' risorto, come aveva detto; venite a vedere il luogo dove era deposto.
7 Now go quickly and tell his disciples that he's risen from the dead and that he's going on ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, I promise you!”
Presto, andate a dire ai suoi discepoli: E' risuscitato dai morti, e ora vi precede in Galilea; là lo vedrete. Ecco, io ve l'ho detto».
8 They left the tomb quickly, both afraid and very happy, running to tell his disciples.
Abbandonato in fretta il sepolcro, con timore e gioia grande, le donne corsero a dare l'annunzio ai suoi discepoli.
9 Suddenly Jesus came to meet them, and greeted them. They went over to him, held onto his feet and worshiped him.
Ed ecco Gesù venne loro incontro dicendo: «Salute a voi». Ed esse, avvicinatesi, gli presero i piedi e lo adorarono.
10 Then Jesus said to them, “Don't be afraid! Go and tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”
Allora Gesù disse loro: «Non temete; andate ad annunziare ai miei fratelli che vadano in Galilea e là mi vedranno».
11 As they left, some of the guards went into the city and explained to the chief priests everything that had happened.
Mentre esse erano per via, alcuni della guardia giunsero in città e annunziarono ai sommi sacerdoti quanto era accaduto.
12 After the chief priests had met with the elders, and worked out a plan, they bribed the soldiers with a great deal of money.
Questi si riunirono allora con gli anziani e deliberarono di dare una buona somma di denaro ai soldati dicendo:
13 “Say that his disciples came during the night and stole him while we were sleeping,” they told the soldiers.
«Dichiarate: i suoi discepoli sono venuti di notte e l'hanno rubato, mentre noi dormivamo.
14 “And if the governor hears about this, we'll talk to him and you won't have to worry.”
E se mai la cosa verrà all'orecchio del governatore noi lo persuaderemo e vi libereremo da ogni noia».
15 So the soldiers took the money and did what they were told. This story has been spread among the Jewish people to this very day.
Quelli, preso il denaro, fecero secondo le istruzioni ricevute. Così questa diceria si è divulgata fra i Giudei fino ad oggi.
16 But the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
Gli undici discepoli, intanto, andarono in Galilea, sul monte che Gesù aveva loro fissato.
17 When they saw him they worshiped him, though some doubted.
Quando lo videro, gli si prostrarono innanzi; alcuni però dubitavano.
18 Jesus came to them and told them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
E Gesù, avvicinatosi, disse loro: «Mi è stato dato ogni potere in cielo e in terra.
19 So go and make disciples of people of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Andate dunque e ammaestrate tutte le nazioni, battezzandole nel nome del Padre e del Figlio e dello Spirito santo,
