Acts 7
1 Then the high priest said, “Can these things be so?”
Քահանայապետը ըսաւ. «Այդ բաները ա՞յդպէս են ի՛րապէս»:
2 So he said: “Men, brothers and fathers, listen: The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he resided in Haran,
Ան ալ ըսաւ. «Մարդի՛կ եղբայրներ ու հայրե՛ր, մտի՛կ ըրէք. փառքի Աստուածը երեւցաւ մեր հօր՝ Աբրահամի, երբ Միջագետքի մէջ էր, դեռ Խառանի մէջ չբնակած, եւ ըսաւ անոր.
3 and said to him, ‘Leave your country and your relatives, and come into a land that I will show you.’
“Ելի՛ր քու երկրէդ ու ազգականներէդ, եւ գնա՛ այն երկիրը՝ որ ես պիտի ցուցնեմ քեզի”:
4 Then he left the land of the Chaldeans and resided in Haran. From there, after his father died, God moved him to this land in which you now live;
Այն ատեն՝ ելլելով Քաղդէացիներու երկրէն՝ բնակեցաւ Խառանի մէջ, եւ անոր հօր մեռնելէն ետք՝ անկէ փոխադրեց զայն այս երկիրը, ուր դուք կը բնակիք հիմա:
5 yet He did not give him an inheritance in it, not even a footstep. He promised to give it to him for a possession, that is, to his seed after him, though he had no child.
Ո՛չ մէկ ժառանգութիւն տուաւ անոր այս երկրին մէջ, ո՛չ իսկ ոտքի քայլի մը չափ տեղ. բայց խոստացաւ ասիկա իբր կալուած տալ իրեն, եւ իրմէ ետք՝ իր զարմին, երբ դեռ ինք զաւակ չունէր:
6 Further, God spoke like this: that his offspring would be aliens in a foreign land—and that they would be enslaved and oppressed—four hundred years.
Աստուած սա՛պէս խօսեցաւ. “Անոր զարմը պանդուխտ պիտի ըլլայ օտար երկրի մը մէջ, ու զայն ստրուկ պիտի ընեն եւ չարչարեն չորս հարիւր տարի:
7 ‘I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,’ said God, ‘and after that they will come out and serve Me in this place.’
Բայց ե՛ս պիտի դատեմ այն ազգը՝ որուն ստրուկ պիտի ըլլան, - ըսաւ Աստուած, - եւ անկէ ետք պիտի ելլեն ու այս տեղին մէջ պիտի պաշտեն զիս”:
8 And He gave him a covenant of circumcision; and so he begot Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac did the same to Jacob, and Jacob to the twelve patriarchs.
Անոր տուաւ թլփատութեան ուխտը, եւ յետոյ Աբրահամ ծնաւ Իսահակը, ու թլփատեց զայն ութերորդ օրը: Իսահակ ծնաւ Յակոբը, Յակոբ ալ՝ տասներկու նահապետները:
9 “The patriarchs, being envious, sold Joseph into Egypt; yet God was with him
«Նահապետները՝ նախանձելով Յովսէփի՝ ծախեցին զայն Եգիպտոս տարուելու համար. բայց Աստուած անոր հետ էր,
10 and delivered him out of all his adversities, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
ու ազատեց զայն իր բոլոր տառապանքներէն: Շնորհք եւ իմաստութիւն տուաւ անոր Եգիպտոսի Փարաւոն թագաւորին առջեւ. ան ալ կառավարիչ նշանակեց զայն Եգիպտոսի ու իր ամբողջ տան վրայ:
11 And a famine came upon all the land of Egypt and Canaan, even a great affliction, and our fathers could not find food.
Երբ Եգիպտոսի եւ Քանանի ամբողջ երկրին մէջ սով եղաւ, ու մեծ տառապանք, մեր հայրերը ուտելիք չէին գտներ:
12 But upon hearing that there was wheat in Egypt, Jacob first sent our fathers.
Յակոբ՝ երբ լսեց թէ Եգիպտոսի մէջ ցորեն կը գտնուի՝ առաջին անգամ ճամբեց մեր հայրերը:
13 On the second trip Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's family was presented to Pharaoh.
Երկրորդ անգամ՝ Յովսէփ ճանչցուց ինքզինք իր եղբայրներուն, եւ Յովսէփի ցեղը յայտնի եղաւ Փարաւոնի:
14 Joseph sent and summoned his father Jacob and all his relatives, seventy-five souls.
Յովսէփ մարդ ղրկեց ու կանչեց իր հայրը՝ Յակոբը, եւ բոլոր ազգականները՝ եօթանասունհինգ անձ:
15 So Jacob went down to Egypt; and he died, he and our fathers;
Յակոբ իջաւ Եգիպտոս, ուր վախճանեցան ինք ու մեր հայրերը,
16 and they were transferred to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham bought for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor of Shechem.
եւ փոխադրուելով Սիւքէմ՝ դրուեցան այն գերեզմանին մէջ, որ Աբրահամ արծաթով գնած էր Սիւքէմի հօր՝ Եմովրի որդիներէն:
17 “Now as the time of the promise was approaching which God had sworn to Abraham, the people increased and were multiplied in Egypt,
Երբ մօտեցաւ ժամանակը խոստումին՝ որուն համար Աստուած երդում ըրած էր Աբրահամի, ժողովուրդը աճեցաւ ու բազմացաւ Եգիպտոսի մէջ՝
18 until a different king arose who had not known Joseph.
մինչեւ որ ուրիշ թագաւոր մը ելաւ, որ չէր ճանչնար Յովսէփը:
19 This man took advantage of our race and oppressed our fathers, making them expose their babies so that they would not stay alive.
Ան խորամանկութեամբ վարուեցաւ մեր ցեղին դէմ եւ չարչարեց մեր հայրերը, մինչեւ անգամ անոնց երախաները դուրս նետել տալով, որպէսզի չապրեցնէ:
20 At that time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; he was nurtured in his father's house for three months.
«Այդ ատեն Մովսէս ալ ծնաւ, որ գեղեցիկ էր Աստուծոյ առջեւ, ու երեք ամիս մեծցաւ իր հօր տունը:
21 When he was exposed, Pharaoh's daughter took him to herself and brought him up as her own son.
Երբ ան դուրս դրուեցաւ, Փարաւոնի աղջիկը տարաւ զայն եւ մեծցուց իբր իր որդին:
22 So Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians; he was mighty in words and deeds.
Մովսէս կրթուեցաւ Եգիպտացիներուն ամբողջ իմաստութեամբ, ու զօրաւոր էր իր խօսքերով եւ գործերով:
23 Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the sons of Israel.
Երբ լման քառասուն տարեկան եղաւ, իր սիրտը փափաքեցաւ այցելել իր եղբայրներուն՝ Իսրայէլի որդիներուն:
24 Well seeing one of them being wronged, he defended and avenged the one being oppressed, striking down the Egyptian.
Անիրաւուած տեսնելով Իսրայելացիներէն մէկը՝ պաշտպանեց զայն, եւ ընկճուածին վրէժը առաւ՝ զարնելով Եգիպտացին:
25 Now he supposed that his brothers understood that God was giving them deliverance by his hand, but they did not understand.
Կը կարծէր թէ իր եղբայրները պիտի հասկնային թէ Աստուած իրենց փրկութիւն պիտի տար իր ձեռքով. բայց անոնք չհասկցան:
26 The next day he appeared to them as they were fighting and tried to reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers; why do you wrong one another?’
Հետեւեալ օրը հանդիպեցաւ անոնց՝ երբ կը կռուէին, եւ ուզեց հաշտեցնել զանոնք՝ ըսելով. “Մարդի՛կ, դուք եղբայրնե՛ր էք. ինչո՞ւ կ՚անիրաւէք զիրար”:
27 But the one who was wronging his neighbor pushed Moses away, saying: ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?
Բայց ան որ կ՚անիրաւէր ընկերը՝ վանեց զինք ու ըսաւ. “Ո՞վ քեզ պետ եւ իրաւարար նշանակեց մեր վրայ:
28 Do you want to kill me as you did the Egyptian yesterday?’
Զի՞ս ալ կ՚ուզես սպաննել, ինչպէս երէկ սպաննեցիր Եգիպտացին”:
29 Well Moses fled at that word, and became a stranger in the land of Midian, where he begot two sons.
Այս խօսքէն ետք Մովսէս փախաւ ու պանդխտացաւ Մադիամի երկրին մէջ, ուր ծնաւ երկու որդի:
30 “And when another forty years had passed, Angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.
Երբ քառասուն տարին լրացաւ, Տէրոջ հրեշտակը երեւցաւ անոր Սինա լերան անապատին մէջ՝ մորենիի կրակի բոցով:
31 Well upon seeing it Moses was amazed at the sight, but as he approached for a closer look the voice of the Lord came to him:
Մովսէս ալ՝ երբ նշմարեց՝ զարմացաւ այդ տեսիլքին վրայ, ու երբ մօտեցաւ դիտելու՝ Տէրոջ ձայնը եկաւ անոր, որ կ՚ըսէր.
32 ‘I am the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.’ Moses started trembling and did not dare to look.
“Ե՛ս եմ քու հայրերուդ Աստուածը, Աբրահամի Աստուածը, Իսահակի Աստուածը եւ Յակոբի Աստուածը”: Մովսէս ալ՝ վախէն դողալով՝ չէր յանդգներ դիտել:
33 So the Lord said to him: ‘Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
Տէրը ըսաւ անոր. “Հանէ՛ ոտքերուդ կօշիկները, որովհետեւ սուրբ երկիր է այն տեղը՝ ուր կայնած ես:
34 I have definitely seen the mistreatment of my people in Egypt, and have heard their groaning; and I have come down to deliver them. So now come, I will send you to Egypt.’
Ի՛րապէս տեսայ Եգիպտոսի մէջ եղող ժողովուրդիս չարչարանքը, լսեցի անոնց հառաչանքը, եւ իջայ զանոնք ազատելու. ու հիմա եկո՛ւր, քեզ ղրկեմ Եգիպտոս”:
35 “This Moses whom they refused, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’—God sent him as leader and deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.
«Այս Մովսէսը, որ ուրացան՝ ըսելով. “Ո՞վ պետ եւ իրաւարար նշանակեց քեզ”, զա՛յն ղրկեց Աստուած իբր պետ եւ ազատարար՝ այն հրեշտակին ձեռքով, որ երեւցաւ անոր մորենիին մէջ:
36 This man led them out, performing wonders and signs in the land of Egypt and in the Red Sea, and for forty years in the wilderness.
Անիկա՛ դուրս հանեց զանոնք, սքանչելիքներ ու նշաններ ցոյց տալով Եգիպտոսի երկրին եւ Կարմիր ծովուն, ու քառասուն տարի՝ անապատին մէջ:
37 “This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, ‘The Lord our God will raise up to you a Prophet from among your brothers, like me.’
Այս Մովսէսն է որ ըսաւ Իսրայէլի որդիներուն. “Տէրը՝ ձեր Աստուածը՝ ձեր եղբայրներէն պիտի հանէ ձեզի մարգարէ մը՝ ինծի նման. մտի՛կ ըրէք անոր”:
38 This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness, who was with the Angel who spoke with him on Mount Sinai and was with our fathers, who received living oracles to give to us;
Ասիկա ա՛ն է որ համախմբումին մէջ էր՝ անապատը, Սինա լերան վրայ իրեն խօսող հրեշտակին եւ մեր հայրերուն հետ: Ան կենարար պատգամներ ընդունեց՝ մեզի տալու.
39 to whom our fathers did not want to be obedient; rather they rejected him and turned back in their heart to Egypt,
բայց մեր հայրերը չուզեցին անոր հնազանդիլ, հապա զայն վանեցին իրենցմէ ու Եգիպտոս դարձան իրենց սիրտին մէջ՝
40 saying to Aaron, ‘Make us gods that will go before us; because this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt—we do not know what has become of him.’
ըսելով Ահարոնի. “Աստուածնե՛ր շինէ մեզի, որպէսզի երթան մեր առջեւէն. որովհետեւ այդ Մովսէսը՝ որ հանեց մեզ Եգիպտոսի երկրէն, չենք գիտեր թէ ի՛նչ եղաւ անոր”:
41 Well they made a calf in those days and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and started rejoicing in the works of their hands.
Այն օրերը շինեցին հորթ մը, զոհ մատուցանեցին կուռքին, եւ կ՚ուրախանային իրենց ձեռքերուն գործերով:
42 But God turned away and gave them over to serve the army of the heaven, just as it is written in Book of the Prophets: ‘House of Israel, did you offer me slaughtered animals and sacrifices during forty years in the wilderness?
Աստուած ալ երես դարձուց ու մատնեց զանոնք պաշտելու երկինքի աստղերը, ինչպէս գրուած է Մարգարէներու գիրքին մէջ. “Միթէ ինծի՞ մատուցանեցիք մորթուած անասուններ եւ զոհեր՝ քառասուն տարի անապատին մէջ, ո՛վ Իսրայէլի տունը:
43 Actually you took along the tent of Moloch, and the star of your god, Rephan, the images that you made to worship; so I will relocate you beyond Babylon.’
Հապա կրեցիք Մողոքի վրանը ու ձեր Հռեմփա աստուծոյն աստղը, ձեր կերտած պատկերները՝ անոնց երկրպագելու համար: Ես ալ պիտի տարագրեմ ձեզ Բաբելոնի միւս կողմը”:
44 “The tent of the testimony, according to the pattern that Moses had seen, just as the One speaking to him had commanded to make it, was with our fathers in the wilderness;
«Անապատին մէջ՝ մեր հայրերը ունէին վկայութեան խորանը, ինչպէս Մովսէսի հետ խօսողը պատուիրած էր որ շինէ զայն՝ տեսած տիպարին պէս:
45 which, having received it in turn, our fathers with Joshua brought into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, until the days of David;
Անոնց յաջորդող մեր հայրերն ալ՝ զայն ստանալով՝ Յեսուի հետ մտցուցին կալուածը այն հեթանոսներուն, որ Աստուած վանեց մեր հայրերուն առջեւէն: Հոն մնաց մինչեւ Դաւիթի օրերը,
46 who found favor before God and asked to find a dwelling for the God of Jacob,
որ Աստուծոյ առջեւ շնորհք գտաւ եւ ուզեց բնակարան մը կառուցանել Յակոբի Աստուծոյն.
47 but Solomon built Him a house.
բայց Սողոմո՛ն տուն մը կառուցանեց անոր:
48 However, the Most High does not dwell in handmade sanctuaries, just as the prophet says:
Սակայն Ամենաբարձրը չի բնակիր ձեռակերտ տաճարներու մէջ, ինչպէս մարգարէն կ՚ըսէ.
49 ‘Heaven is my throne, while the earth is a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me,’ says the Lord, ‘or what place for my rest?
“Երկինքը իմ գահս է, ու երկիրը իմ ոտքերուս պատուանդանն է. ինչպիսի՞ տուն պիտի կառուցանէք ինծի, - կ՚ըսէ Տէրը, - կամ ի՞նչպէս պիտի ըլլայ իմ հանգստավայրիս տեղը.
50 Did not my hand make all these things?’
միթէ իմ ձեռքս չէ՞ շիներ այս բոլորը”:
51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always oppose the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so you do.
«Խստապարանոցնե՛ր ու սիրտով եւ ականջով անթլփատնե՛ր, դուք միշտ կ՚ընդդիմանաք Սուրբ Հոգիին, ինչպէս ձեր հայրերը՝ այնպէս ալ դուք:
52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers;
Մարգարէներէն ո՞րը չհալածեցին ձեր հայրերը, ու չսպաննեցին անոնք՝ որ նախապէս ծանուցանեցին այն Արդարին գալուստը: Անոր մատնիչները եւ սպաննողները եղաք հիմա,
53 you who received the Law as ‘ordinances of angels’ and have not kept it!”
դո՛ւք՝ որ ստացաք Օրէնքը հրեշտակներու կարգադրութեամբ, բայց չպահեցիք զայն»:
54 Well as they heard these things their hearts were being sawed in half, and they started gnashing their teeth at him.
Այս բաները լսելով՝ անոնք կը մոլեգնէին իրենց սիրտերուն մէջ եւ կը կրճտէին իրենց ակռաները անոր դէմ:
55 But he, being full of Holy Spirit and looking intently into the heaven, he saw the glory of God and Jesus standing on God's right,
Բայց ան՝ լեցուած Սուրբ Հոգիով՝ ակնապիշ նայեցաւ դէպի երկինք, տեսաւ Աստուծոյ փառքը ու Յիսուսն ալ՝ որ Աստուծոյ աջ կողմը կայնած էր, եւ ըսաւ.
56 and said, “Wow! I see the heavens opened and the Son of the Man standing at God's right!”
«Ահա՛ կը տեսնեմ երկինքը բացուած, ու մարդու Որդին՝ Աստուծոյ աջ կողմը կայնած»:
57 Yelling at the top of their voice they covered their ears and rushed at him all at once,
Իսկ անոնք բարձրաձայն աղաղակելով՝ գոցեցին իրենց ականջները, եւ բոլորը միաբանութեամբ խուժեցին անոր վրայ,
58 and throwing him out of the city they stoned him! (The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.)
ու քաղաքէն դուրս հանելով՝ քարկոծեցին զայն. եւ վկաները իրենց հանդերձները պահ դրին երիտասարդի մը ոտքերուն քով, որ կը կոչուէր Սօղոս:
59 Yes, they stoned Stephen as he called out and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
Ու կը քարկոծէին Ստեփանոսը, որ կը գոչէր. «Տէ՛ր Յիսուս, ընդունէ՛ իմ հոգիս»:
60 Then kneeling down he called out at the top of his voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” And upon saying this he fell asleep. (Saul was in full agreement with his murder.)
Եւ ծնրադրելով՝ բարձրաձայն աղաղակեց. «Տէ՛ր, այս մեղքը մի՛ սեպեր ատոնց»: Ասիկա ըսելով՝ ննջեց:
