Psalms 93

1 The Lord hath reigned, he is clothed with beauty: the Lord is clothed with strength, and hath girded himself. For he hath established the world which shall not be moved.

Der HERR ist König! Er hat sich gekleidet in Hoheit; in Hoheit hat der HERR sich gekleidet, mit Kraft umgürtet, auch der Erdkreis steht fest, so daß er nicht wankt.

2 Thy throne is prepared from of old: thou art from everlasting.

Fest steht dein Thron von Anbeginn, von Ewigkeit her bist du.

3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord: the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,

Fluten erhoben, o HERR, Fluten erhoben ihr Brausen, Fluten werden (auch weiter) ihr Tosen erheben –

4 With the noise of many waters. Wonderful are the surges of the sea: wonderful is the Lord on high.

mächtiger als das Brausen gewaltiger Wasser, mächtiger als die brandenden Meereswogen ist der HERR in der Himmelshöhe!

5 Thy testimonies are become exceedingly credible: holiness becometh thy house, O Lord, unto length of days.

Was du verordnet hast, ist völlig zuverlässig, deinem Hause gebührt Heiligkeit, o HERR, für die Dauer der Zeiten.
