Numbers 32
1 And the sons of Ruben and Gad had many flocks of cattle, and their substance in beasts was infinite. And when they saw the lands of Jazer and Galaad fit for feeding cattle,
၁ရုဗင်အနွယ်နှင့်ဂဒ်အနွယ်တို့တွင် သိုးနွား တိရစ္ဆာန်မြောက်မြားစွာရှိကြ၏။ ယာဇာ ပြည်နှင့်ဂိလဒ်ပြည်တွင်စားကျက်ကောင်း များရှိကြောင်းသိရှိရသောအခါ၊-
2 They came to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and the princes of the multitude, and said:
၂သူတို့သည်မောရှေ၊ ဧလာဇာနှင့်ဣသရေလ ခေါင်းဆောင်တို့ထံသို့သွား၍၊-
3 Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nemra, Hesebon, and Eleale, and Saban, and Nebo, and Beon,
၃``ထာဝရဘုရားကူမတော်မူခြင်းဖြင့်ဣသ ရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သိမ်းပိုက်ရရှိသော အတ ရုတ်မြို့၊ ဒိဘုန်မြို့၊ ယာဇာမြို့၊ နိမရမြို့၊ ဟေရှ ဘုန်မြို့၊ ဧလာလေမြို့၊ ရှေဘံမြို့၊ နေဗောမြို့နှင့် ဗောနမြို့များတည်ရှိရာဒေသတွင်စားကျက် ကောင်းများရှိပါသည်။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွင်သိုး နွားတိရစ္ဆာန်များစွာရှိပါသည်။-
4 The land, which the Lord hath conquered in the sight of the children of Israel, is a very fertile soil for the feeding of beasts: and we thy servants have very much cattle:
၄
5 And we pray thee, if we have found favour in thy sight, that thou give it to us thy servants in possession, and make us not pass over the Jordan.
၅သို့ဖြစ်၍ဤဒေသတွင်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့နေ ထိုင်ရန်အပိုင်ပေးသနားပါ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အားယော်ဒန်မြစ်တစ်ဖက်သို့ကူး၍မနေ ထိုင်စေပါနှင့်'' ဟုလျှောက်ထားကြ၏။
6 And Moses answered them: What, shall your brethren go to fight, and will you sit here?
၆ထိုအခါမောရှေက``သင်တို့၏သားချင်းများ စစ်ချီတိုက်ခိုက်နေစဉ် သင်တို့သည်ဤအရပ် တွင်နေထိုင်ကြပါသလော။-
7 Why do ye overturn the minds of the children of Israel, that they may not dare to pass into the place which the Lord hath given them?
၇ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည်ယော်ဒန် မြစ်ကိုကူး၍ ထာဝရဘုရားပေးသနား တော်မူသောပြည်သို့ဝင်ရောက်ရေးတွင် သင် တို့သည်အဘယ်ကြောင့်သူတို့ကိုစိတ် ပျက်အားလျော့စေကြသနည်း။-
8 Was it not thus your fathers did, when I sent from Cadesbarne to view the land?
၈ငါသည်သင်တို့၏ဘိုးဘေးများအားထို ပြည်ကိုထောက်လှမ်းရန် ကာဒေရှအရပ်မှ စေလွှတ်စဉ်အခါက သူတို့သည်လူတို့ကို စိတ်ပျက်အားလျော့စေခဲ့ကြ၏။-
9 And when they were come as far as the valley of the cluster, having viewed all the country, they overturned the hearts of the children of Israel, that they should not enter into the coasts, which the Lord gave them.
၉သူတို့သည်ဧရှကောလချိုင့်ဝှမ်းသို့တိုင်အောင် သွားရောက်ခဲ့ကြ၍ ထိုပြည်ကိုတွေ့မြင်ပြီး နောက်ပြန်လည်ရောက်ရှိလာကြသောအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားပေးသနားတော်မူသော ပြည်သို့မသွားရန်လူတို့ကိုတိုက်တွန်း ကြ၏။-
10 And he swore in his anger, saying:
၁၀ထိုအခါထာဝရဘုရားသည်အမျက် တော်ထွက်၍၊-
11 If these men, that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land, which I promised with an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: because they would not follow me,
၁၁`သူတို့သည်ငါ့ကိုသစ္စာဖောက်ကြသဖြင့် အီဂျစ်ပြည်မှထွက်လာသောသူတို့တွင် အသက်နှစ်ဆယ်အရွယ်နှင့်အထက်ရှိ သောမည်သည့်ယောကျာ်းမျှအာဗြဟံ၊ ဣဇာက်၊ ယာကုပ်တို့အားငါပေးမည်ဟုကတိထား သောပြည်သို့မဝင်ရ' ဟုကျိန်ဆို၍မိန့် တော်မူခဲ့၏။-
12 Except Caleb the son of Jephone the Cenezite, and Josue the son of Nun: these have fulfilled my will.
၁၂ထိုသို့ဒဏ်စီရင်ခြင်းခံရသူတို့တွင် ကေနတ်အမျိုးသားယေဖုန္နာ၏သား ကာ လက်နှင့်နုန်၏သားယောရှုတို့မပါဝင် ချေ။ သူတို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရား၏သစ္စာ တော်ကိုစောင့်သူများဖြစ်ပေသည်။-
13 And the Lord being angry against Israel, led them about through the desert forty years, until the whole generation, that had done evil in his sight, was consumed.
၁၃ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားတို့ကိုအမျက်ထွက်သဖြင့် မိမိအလို ကိုဆန့်ကျင်သောအမျိုးဆက်တို့သေဆုံး ကုန်ကြသည်အထိသူတို့ကိုတောကန္တာရ ၌အနှစ်လေးဆယ်ပတ်လုံးလှည့်လည်နေ စေတော်မူ၏။-
14 And behold, said he, you are risen up instead of your fathers, the increase and offspring of sinful men, to augment the fury of the Lord against Israel.
၁၄ဘိုးဘေးတို့၏ဒုစရိုက်မျိုးကိုကူးလွန် သောအားဖြင့် ယခုသင်တို့သည်ဒုစရိုက် ပြုသောမျိုးဆက်သစ်ဖြစ်လာကြ၏။ သို့ ဖြစ်၍သင်တို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရား၏ပြင်း ထန်သောအမျက်တော်ကို ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့အပေါ်သို့တစ်ဖန်ကျ ရောက်စေရန်ပြုကျင့်နေကြပါသည် တကား။-
15 For if you will not follow him, he will leave the people in the wilderness, and you shall be the cause of the destruction of all.
၁၅ရုဗင်နှင့်ဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်များဖြစ်ကြသော သင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏နောက်တော် သို့ယခုမလိုက်ကြလျှင် ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဣသရေလတစ်မျိုးလုံးကိုတောကန္တာရ တွင်တစ်ဖန်စွန့်ပစ်တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။ သို့ဖြစ် ၍သင်တို့ကြောင့်ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ပျက်စီးဆုံးပါးရကြလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုပြန် လည်ဖြေကြား၏။
16 But they coming near, said: We will make sheepfolds, and stalls for our cattle, and strong cities for our children:
၁၆တစ်ဖန်သူတို့သည် မောရှေအနီးသို့ချဉ်း ကပ်၍``ရှေးဦးစွာအကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏သိုးများ ထားရန်ကျောက်တုံးခြံစည်းရိုးများကို လည်းကောင်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကိုမှီခိုသူများ နေထိုင်ရန် တံတိုင်းကာရံထားသောမြို့များ ကိုလည်းကောင်းတည်ဆောက်ခွင့်ပေးပါ။-
17 And we ourselves will go armed and ready for battle before the children of Israel, until we bring them in unto their places. Our little ones, and all we have, shall be in walled cities, for fear of the ambushes of the inhabitants.
၁၇ထိုနောက်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်အမျိုးသားချင်း တို့အပိုင်ရမည့်ပြည်တွင် အခြေချနေထိုင် ရသည်အထိသူတို့ကိုရှေ့ဆောင်၍စစ်ချီ တိုက်ခိုက်ပါမည်။ ဤအတောအတွင်းအကျွန်ုပ် တို့ကိုမှီခိုသူများသည် ခိုင်ခံ့သောမြို့များ တွင်နေထိုင်ရသဖြင့် ဤအရပ်သားတို့၏ ရန်မှကင်းလွတ်နိုင်ကြပါလိမ့်မည်။-
18 We will not return into our houses until the children of Israel possess their inheritance:
၁၈အခြားသောဣသရေလအနွယ်ဝင်တို့ သည် မိမိတို့နေထိုင်ရမည့်ပြည်ကိုအပိုင် မရမချင်းအကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်ကိုယ့်အိမ် သို့မပြန်ပါ။-
19 Neither will we seek any thing beyond the Jordan, because we have already our possession on the east side thereof,
၁၉ယော်ဒန်မြစ်အရှေ့ဘက်တွင်အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ အားနယ်မြေဝေစုပေးထားပြီးဖြစ်သဖြင့် အနောက်ဘက်ကမ်းတွင်နယ်မြေဝေစုကို ထပ်မံ၍မတောင်းဆိုပါ'' ဟူ၍လျှောက် ထားကြ၏။
20 And Moses said to them: If you do what you promise, go on well appointed for war before the Lord:
၂၀ထိုအခါမောရှေက``သင်တို့ကတိတည် မည်ဆိုလျှင် ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ စစ်ချီတိုက်ရန်အသင့်ပြင်လော့။-
21 And let every fighting man pass over the Jordan, until the Lord overthrow his enemies:
၂၁သင်တို့၏တပ်သားအပေါင်းတို့သည်ယော်ဒန် မြစ်ကိုဖြတ်ကူးပြီးလျှင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမိန့်ကိုနာခံလျက် ငါတို့၏ရန်သူများကို တိုက်ခိုက်ချေမှုန်း၍၊-
22 And all the land be brought under him, then shall you be blameless before the Lord and before Israel, and you shall obtain the countries that you desire, before the Lord.
၂၂တိုင်းပြည်ကိုသိမ်းပိုက်ရမည်။ ထိုနောက်သင် တို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရားနှင့်အမျိုးသား ချင်းတို့အတွက် တာဝန်ကျေပွန်ပြီဖြစ်၍ ဤအရပ်သို့ပြန်လာနိုင်သည်။ ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်အရှေ့ ဘက်ရှိ ဤပြည်သည်သင်တို့ဝေစုဖြစ် ကြောင်းသိမှတ်တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။-
23 But if you do not what you say, no man can doubt but you sin against God: and know ye, that your sin shall overtake you.
၂၃သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့သည်ကတိမတည်လျှင် ထာဝရဘုရားအားပြစ်မှားရာရောက်လိမ့် မည်။ ထိုအခါသင်တို့သည်အပြစ်ဒဏ်ကို မုချခံကြရမည်။-
24 Build therefore cities for your children, and folds and stalls for your sheep and beasts, and accomplish what you have promised.
၂၄သင်တို့မြို့များနှင့်သိုးခြံများကိုတည် ဆောက်ကြလော့။ သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့ကတိ ကိုမဖျက်ကြနှင့်'' ဟုသတိပေးလေ၏။
25 And the children of Gad and Ruben said to Moses: We are thy servants, we will do what my lord commandeth.
၂၅ထိုအခါဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်နှင့်ရုဗင်အနွယ် ဝင်တို့က``ကိုယ်တော်မိန့်မှာသည်အတိုင်း အကျွန်ုပ်ဆောင်ရွက်ပါမည်။-
26 We will leave our children, and our wives and sheep and cattle, in the cities of Galaad:
၂၆အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ဇနီးနှင့်သားသမီးများ၊ သိုး၊ ဆိတ်၊ နွားများသည်ဤအရပ်ရှိဂိလဒ် မြို့များတွင်နေရစ်ကြပါမည်။-
27 And we thy servants all well appointed will march on to the war, as thou, my lord, speakest.
၂၇အကျွန်ုပ်တို့မူကားထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့် ကိုနာခံလျက် စစ်ချီတက်ရန်အသင့်ရှိနေ ကြပါသည်။ ကိုယ်တော်မိန့်မှာသည့်အတိုင်း အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကိုဖြတ်ကူး ၍ရန်သူများကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ပါမည်'' ဟူ၍ မောရှေအားကတိပေးကြ၏။
28 Moses therefore commanded Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, and the princes of the families of all the tribes of Israel, and said to them:
၂၈ထို့ကြောင့်မောရှေကဧလာဇာ၊ ယောရှုနှင့် အခြားသောဣသရေလခေါင်းဆောင်တို့ အား၊-
29 If the children of Gad, and the children of Ruben pass with you over the Jordan, all armed for war before the Lord, and the land be made subject to you: give them Galaad in possession.
၂၉``ဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်နှင့်ရုဗင်အနွယ်ဝင်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်အရယော်ဒန် မြစ်ကိုဖြတ်ကူး၍ စစ်ချီတိုက်ခိုက်လျှင်လည်း ကောင်း၊ သင်တို့သည်သူတို့၏အကူအညီ ဖြင့်ထိုပြည်ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်အောင်မြင်လျှင် လည်းကောင်း ဂိလဒ်ပြည်ကိုသူတို့အား အပိုင်ပေးလော့။-
30 But if they will not pass armed with you into the land of Chanaan, let them receive places to dwell in among you.
၃၀သို့ရာတွင်သူတို့သည်သင်တို့နှင့်အတူ ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကိုဖြတ်ကူး၍စစ်ချီတိုက်ခိုက် ခြင်းမပြုကြလျှင် သင်တို့နည်းတူခါနာန် ပြည်ထဲ၌သာသူတို့ဝေစုကိုရစေရမည်'' ဟုအမိန့်ပေးလေ၏။
31 And the children of Gad, and the children of Ruben answered: As the Lord hath spoken to his servants, so will we do:
၃၁ဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်နှင့်ရုဗင်အနွယ်ဝင်တို့ က``အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့် တော်မူသည်အတိုင်းဆောင်ရွက်ပါမည်။-
32 We will go armed before the Lord into the land of Chanaan, and we confess that we have already received our possession beyond the Jordan.
၃၂အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်အရှေ့ဘက် ရှိပြည်ကိုအပိုင်ရနိုင်ရန် ထာဝရဘုရား ၏ရှေ့ဆောင်မှုကိုနာခံလျက် ခါနာန်ပြည် ဘက်သို့ကူး၍စစ်ချီတိုက်ခိုက်ပါမည်'' ဟုလျှောက်ထားကြလေသည်။
33 Moses therefore gave to the children of Cad and of Ruben, and to the half tribe of Manasses the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sehon king of the Amorrhites, and the kingdom of Og king of Basan, and their land and the cities thereof round about.
၃၃ထို့ကြောင့်မောရှေသည်အာမောရိဘုရင် ရှိဟုန်နှင့် ဗာရှန်ဘုရင်သြဃတို့ပိုင်သမျှ သောနယ်မြေနှင့်တကွ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ရှိမြို့ ရွာများကိုဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်၊ ရုဗင်အနွယ်ဝင် နှင့်မနာရှေအနွယ်ဝင်တို့အားသတ်မှတ် ပေးလေသည်။-
34 And the sons of Cad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
၃၄ဂဒ်အနွယ်ဝင်တို့သည်ဒိဗုန်မြို့၊ အတရုပ် မြို့၊ အာရော်မြို့၊-
35 And Etroth, and Sophan, and Jazer, and Jegbaa,
၃၅အာတရုတ်ရှောဖန်မြို့၊ ယာဇာမြို့၊ ယုမ္ဘေဟ မြို့၊-
36 And Bethnemra, and Betharan, fenced cities, and folds for their cattle.
၃၆ဗက်နိမရာမြို့နှင့်ဗေသာရန်မြို့စသော တံတိုင်းကာရံထားသည့် မြို့များကိုပြန် လည်တည်ဆောက်ကြ၏။-
37 But the children of Ruben built Hesebon, and Eleale, and Cariathaim,
၃၇ရုဗင်အနွယ်ဝင်တို့သည်ဟေရှဘုန်မြို့၊ ဧလာလေမြို့၊ ကိရယသိမ်မြို့၊-
38 And Nabo, and Baalmeon (their names being changed) and Sabama: giving names to the cities which they had built.
၃၈နေဗောမြို့၊ ဗာလမောနမြို့(ဤမြို့၏နာမည် ကိုပြောင်းလိုက်၏) နှင့်ရှိဗမမြို့များကို ပြန်လည်တည်ဆောက်ကြသည်။ သူတို့ပြန် လည်တည်ဆောက်သောမြို့များကိုနာမည် သစ်ဖြင့်မှည့်ခေါ်ကြသည်။
39 Moreover the children of Machir, the son of Manasses, went into Galaad, and wasted it, cutting off the Amorrhites, the inhabitants thereof.
၃၉မနာရှေသားမာခိရ၏သားချင်းစုသည် ဂိလဒ်ပြည်ကိုဝင်ရောက်တိုက်ခိုက်ပြီးလျှင် ထိုပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်သောအာမောရိအမျိုး သားတို့ကိုမောင်းထုတ်၍ပြည်ကိုသိမ်းပိုက် လေသည်။-
40 And Moses gave the land of Galaad to Machir the son of Manasses, and he dwelt in it.
၄၀ထို့ကြောင့်မောရှေသည်မာခိရသားချင်းစု အားဂိလဒ်ပြည်ကိုပေးသဖြင့် သူတို့သည် ထိုပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်ကြ၏။-
41 And Jair the son of Manasses went, and took the villages thereof, and he called them Havoth Jair, that is to say, the villages of Jair.
၄၁မနာရှေ၏အနွယ်ဝင်ဖြစ်သောယာဣရ သည် ကျေးရွာအချို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်သိမ်းပိုက် ပြီးလျှင်``ယာဣရကျေးရွာများ'' ဟု သမုတ်လေသည်။-
42 Nobe also went, and took Canath with the villages thereof: and he called it by his own name, Nobe.
၄၂နောဗာဆိုသူသည်လည်းကေနတ်မြို့နှင့် အနီးရှိ ကျေးရွာများကိုတိုက်ခိုက်သိမ်း ပိုက်ပြီးလျှင် မိမိ၏အမည်ကိုစွဲ၍ နောဗာမြို့ဟုမှည့်ခေါ်လေ၏။
