Romans 3
1 So then, what more is the Jew, or what is the usefulness of circumcision?
१मग यहूदी असण्यात फायदा तो काय? किंवा सुंताविधीकडून काय लाभ?
2 Much in every way: First of all, certainly, because the eloquence of God was entrusted to them.
२सर्वबाबतीत पुष्कळच आहे. प्रथम हे की, त्यांच्यावर देवाची वचने सोपवली होती.
3 But what if some of them have not believed? Shall their unbelief nullify the faith of God? Let it not be so!
३पण काहींनी विश्वास ठेवला नाही म्हणून काय झाले? त्यांचा अविश्वास देवाचा विश्वासूपणा व्यर्थ करील काय?
4 For God is truthful, but every man is deceitful; just as it was written: “Therefore, you are justified in your words, and you will prevail when you give judgment.”
४कधीच नाही! देव खरा व प्रत्येक मनुष्य खोटा ठरो. पवित्र शास्त्रात असे लिहिले आहे की, ‘तुझ्या बोलण्यात तू नीतिमान ठरावेस, आणि तुझा न्याय होत असता विजयी व्हावेस.’
5 But if even our injustice points to the justice of God, what shall we say? Could God be unfair for inflicting wrath?
५पण आमची अनीती जर देवाचे न्यायीपण स्थापित करते तर आम्ही काय म्हणावे? जो देव आमच्यावर आपला क्रोध आणतो तो अन्यायी आहे काय? (मी मानवी व्यवहाराप्रमाणे बोलत आहे.)
6 (I am speaking in human terms.) Let it not be so! Otherwise, how would God judge this world?
६कधीच नाही! असे झाले तर, देव जगाचा न्याय कसा करील?
7 For if the truth of God has abounded, through my falseness, unto his glory, why should I still be judged as such a sinner?
७कारण जर माझ्या लबाडीने देवाचा खरेपणा अधिक प्रकट होऊन त्याच्या गौरवास कारण झाले, तर माझाही पापी म्हणून न्याय का व्हावा?
8 And should we not do evil, so that good may result? For so we have been slandered, and so some have claimed we said; their condemnation is just.
८आणि आपण चांगले घडावे म्हणून वाईट करू या असे का म्हणून नये? आम्ही असे सांगत असतो अशी आमची निंदा कित्येक लोक करत आहे, अशा लोकांची त्यांना यथान्याय शिक्षा आहे.
9 What is next? Should we try to excel ahead of them? By no means! For we have accused all Jews and Greeks to be under sin,
९मग काय? आपण यहूदी अधिक चांगले आहोत काय? मुळीच नाही, कारण सगळे यहूदी व ग्रीक पापाखाली आहेत, असा आधीच आम्ही त्यांच्यावर आरोप केला आहे.
10 just as it was written: “There is no one who is just.
१०पवित्र शास्त्रात असे लिहिले आहे की, ‘नीतिमान कोणी नाही, एकही नाही.
11 There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks God.
११ज्याला समजते असा कोणी नाही, जो झटून देवाचा शोध करतो असा कोणी नाही,
12 All have gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one.
१२ते सगळे बहकले आहेत, ते सगळे निरुपयोगी झाले आहेत; सत्कर्म करणारा कोणी नाही, एकही नाही.
13 Their throat is an open sepulcher. With their tongues, they have been acting deceitfully. The venom of asps is under their lips.
१३त्यांचा घसा एक उघडलेले थडगे आहे. ते आपल्या जीभांनी कपट योजतात, त्यांच्या ओठांखाली सर्पाचे विष असते.
14 Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.
१४त्यांचे तोंड शापाने व कडूपणाने भरले आहे;
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood.
१५त्यांचे पाय रक्त पाडण्यास उतावळे आहेत.
16 Grief and unhappiness are in their ways.
१६विध्वंस व विपत्ती त्यांच्या मार्गात आहेत.
17 And the way of peace they have not known.
१७शांतीचा मार्ग त्यांनी ओळखला नाही.
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
१८त्यांच्या डोळ्यांपुढे देवाचे भय नाही.’
19 But we know that whatever the law speaks, it speaks to those who are in the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the entire world may be subject to God.
१९आता आपण हे जाणतो की नियमशास्त्र जे काही सांगते ते नियमशास्त्राधीन असलेल्यांस सांगते म्हणजे प्रत्येक तोंड बंद केले जावे आणि सर्व जग देवासमोर अपराधी म्हणून यावे.
20 For in his presence no flesh shall be justified by the works of the law. For knowledge of sin is through the law.
२०कारण देवाच्या दृष्टीपुढे नियमशास्त्राच्या कृतींकडून कोणीही मनुष्य नीतिमान ठरणार नाही, कारण नियमशास्त्राकडून पापाचे ज्ञान होते.
21 But now, without the law, the justice of God, to which the law and the prophets have testified, has been made manifest.
२१पण नियमशास्त्राकडून व संदेष्ट्यांकडून साक्ष दिली गेल्याप्रमाणे, नियमशास्त्राशिवाय देवाचे नीतिमत्त्व, आता, प्रकट झाले आहे.
22 And the justice of God, through the faith of Jesus Christ, is in all those and over all those who believe in him. For there is no distinction.
२२पण हे देवाचे नीतिमत्त्व येशू ख्रिस्तावरील विश्वासाद्वारे, विश्वास ठेवणार्‍या सर्वांसाठी आहे कारण तेथे कसलाही फरक नाही.
23 For all have sinned and all are in need of the glory of God.
२३कारण सर्वांनी पाप केले आहे आणि ते देवाच्या गौरवाला अंतरले आहेत;
24 We have been justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
२४देवाच्या कृपेने ख्रिस्त येशूने खंडणी भरून प्राप्त केलेल्या मुक्तीच्या द्वारे ते विनामुल्य नीतिमान ठरतात.
25 whom God has offered as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to reveal his justice for the remission of the former offenses,
२५त्याच्या रक्ताकडून विश्वासाद्वारे प्रायश्चित्त होण्यास देवाने त्यास पुढे ठेवले, कारण देवाच्या मागे झालेल्या पापांच्या क्षमेमुळे सहनशीलपणात आणि त्याने आपले नीतिमत्त्व प्रकट करावे;
26 and by the forbearance of God, to reveal his justice in this time, so that he himself might be both the Just One and the Justifier of anyone who is of the faith of Jesus Christ.
२६त्याने या आताच्या काळात आपले नीतिमत्त्व प्रकट करावे, म्हणजे त्याने नीतिमान असावे आणि जो येशूवर विश्वास ठेवतो त्यास नीतिमान ठरविणारा व्हावे.
27 So then, where is your self-exaltation? It is excluded. Through what law? That of works? No, but rather through the law of faith.
२७मग आपला अभिमान कुठे आहे? तो बाहेर ठेवला गेला. कोणत्या नियमामुळे? कर्मांच्या काय? नाही, पण विश्वासाच्या नियमामुळे.
28 For we judge a man to be justified by faith, without the works of the law.
२८म्हणून, नियमशास्त्राच्या कर्मांवाचून मनुष्य विश्वासाने नीतिमान ठरतो हे आपण पाहतो.
29 Is God of the Jews only and not also of the Gentiles? On the contrary, of the Gentiles also.
२९किंवा देव केवळ यहूद्यांचा देव आहे काय? परराष्ट्रीयाचा नाही काय? हो, परराष्ट्रीयांचा ही आहे.
30 For One is the God who justifies circumcision by faith and uncircumcision through faith.
३०जर सुंता झालेल्यांस विश्वासाने आणि सुंता न झालेल्यांस विश्वासाद्वारे जो नीतिमान ठरवील तो तोच एक देव आहे.
31 Are we then destroying the law through faith? Let it not be so! Instead, we are making the law stand.
३१तर मग आपण विश्वासाद्वारे नियमशास्त्र व्यर्थ करतो काय? तसे न होवो. उलट आपण नियमशास्त्र प्रस्थापित करतो.
