Romans 5
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, let us be at peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.
१आता आपण विश्वासाने नीतिमान ठरवले गेलो आहोत म्हणून आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्याच्याद्वारे देवाबरोबर शांती आहे.
2 For through him we also have access by faith to this grace, in which we stand firm, and to glory, in the hope of the glory of the sons of God.
२आपण उभे आहोत त्या कृपेतही त्याच्याद्वारे विश्वासाने आपल्याला प्रवेश मिळाला आहे व आपण देवाच्या गौरवाच्या आशेत अभिमान मिरवतो.
3 And not only that, but we also find glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation exercises patience,
३आणि इतकेच नाही तर आपण संकटांतही अभिमान मिरवतो; कारण आपण जाणतो की संकट धीर उत्पन्न करते,
4 and patience leads to proving, yet truly proving leads to hope,
४आणि धीर प्रचीती व प्रचीती आशा उत्पन्न करते.
5 but hope is not unfounded, because the love of God is poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
५आणि आशा लज्जित करीत नाही; कारण आपल्या अंतःकरणात आपल्याला दिलेल्या पवित्र आत्म्याच्याद्वारे देवाची प्रीती ओतली जात आहे.
6 Yet why did Christ, while we were still infirm, at the proper time, suffer death for the impious?
६कारण आपण दुर्बळ असतानाच ख्रिस्त यथाकाळी अभक्तांसाठी मरण पावला.
7 Now someone might barely be willing to die for the sake of justice, for example, perhaps someone might dare to die for the sake of a good man.
७कारण एखाद्या नीतिमान मनुष्यासाठी क्वचित कोणी मनुष्य मरेल कारण एखाद्या चांगल्या मनुष्यासाठी कदाचीत कोणी मरण्याचेही धाडस करील,
8 But God demonstrates his love for us in that, while we were yet sinners, at the proper time,
८पण आपण पापी असताना ख्रिस्त आपल्यासाठी मरण पावला, ह्यात देव त्याची आपल्यावरील प्रीती प्रस्थापित करतो.
9 Christ died for us. Therefore, having been justified now by his blood, all the more so shall we be saved from wrath through him.
९मग आता आपण त्याच्या रक्ताने नीतिमान ठरवले गेलो आहोत, तर त्याहून अधिक हे आहे की त्याच्याद्वारे आपण देवाच्या क्रोधापासून तारले जाऊ.
10 For if we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, while we were still enemies, all the more so, having been reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
१०कारण आपण वैरी होतो, तेव्हा जर आपला देवाबरोबर, त्याच्या पुत्राच्या मरणाने समेट केला गेला, तर त्याहून अधिक हे आहे की, आपला समेट केला गेल्यामुळे त्याच्या जीवनाने आपण निश्चित तारले जाऊ.
11 And not only that, but we also glory in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
११इतकेच नाही, पण आता ज्याच्या द्वारे आपण समेट स्वीकारला आहे तो आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्याच्याद्वारे आपण देवाच्या ठायी अभिमान मिरवतो.
12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into this world, and through sin, death; so also death was transferred to all men, to all who have sinned.
१२म्हणून एका मनुष्याद्वारे जगात पाप आले व पापाद्वारे मरण आले आणि सर्वांनी पाप केल्यामुळे सर्व मनुष्यांवर मरण आले.
13 For even before the law, sin was in the world, but sin was not imputed while the law did not exist.
१३करण नियमशास्त्रापुर्वी जगात पाप होते, पण नियमशास्त्र नसतेवेळी पाप हिशोबात येत नाही.
14 Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses, even in those who have not sinned, in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.
१४तरी मरणाने आदामापासून मोशेपर्यंत राज्य केले; आदामाच्या उल्लंघनाच्या रूपाप्रमाणे ज्यांनी पाप केले नव्हते त्यांच्यावरही राज्य केले आणि तो तर जो पुढे येणार होता त्याचा नमुना होता.
15 But the gift is not entirely like the offense. For though by the offense of one, many died, yet much more so, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, has the grace and gift of God abounded to many.
१५पण अपराधाची गोष्ट आहे तशी कृपादानाची नाही; कारण एकाच्या अपराधामुळे जर पुष्कळ मरण पावले, तर त्याहून अधिक हे आहे की, देवाची कृपा व येशू ख्रिस्त या एका मनुष्याच्या कृपेची देणगी पुष्कळांसाठी विपुल झाली.
16 And the sin through one is not entirely like the gift. For certainly, the judgment of one was unto condemnation, but the grace toward many offenses is unto justification.
१६आणि पाप करणार्‍या एकामुळे जसा परिणाम झाला, तशी देणगीची गोष्ट नाही; कारण एका अपराधामुळे दंडाज्ञेसाठी न्याय आला, पण अनेक अपराधांमुळे निर्दोषीकरणासाठी कृपादान आले.
17 For though, by the one offense, death reigned through one, yet so much more so shall those who receive an abundance of grace, both of the gift and of justice, reign in life through the one Jesus Christ.
१७कारण मरणाने, एका अपराधामुळे, एकाच्या द्वारे राज्य केले, तर त्याहून अधिक हे आहे की, जे कृपेची व नीतिमत्त्वाच्या देणगीची विपुलता स्वीकारतात, ते त्या एकाच्या, म्हणजे येशू ख्रिस्ताच्या द्वारे जीवनात राज्य करतील.
18 Therefore, just as through the offense of one, all men fell under condemnation, so also through the justice of one, all men fall under justification unto life.
१८म्हणून जसे एकाच अपराधामुळे सर्व मनुष्यांना दंडाज्ञा ठरविण्यास कारण झाले, तसे एकाच निर्दोषीकरणामुळे सर्व मनुष्यांना जीवनासाठी नीतिमान ठरविण्यास कारण झाले.
19 For, just as through the disobedience of one man, many were established as sinners, so also through the obedience of one man, many shall be established as just.
१९कारण जसे एकाच्या आज्ञाभंगामुळे अनेक जण पापी ठरवले गेले, तसे एकाच्या आज्ञापालनामुळे अनेक जण नीतिमान ठरवले जातील.
20 Now the law entered in such a way that offenses would abound. But where offenses were abundant, grace was superabundant.
२०शिवाय, अपराध वाढावा म्हणून नियमशास्त्र आत आले. पण जेथे पाप वाढले तेथे कृपा अधिक विपुल झाली.
21 So then, just as sin has reigned unto death, so also may grace reign through justice unto eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
२१म्हणजे, जसे पापाने मरणाच्या योगे राज्य चालविले तसे कृपेने नीतिमत्त्वाच्या योगे प्राप्त होणार्‍या सार्वकालिक जीवनासाठी आपला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त ह्याच्याद्वारे राज्य चालवावे. (aiōnios g166)
