< Psalms 6 >
1 In parts according to verses. A Psalm of David. For the octave. O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.
E IEHOVA, mai hoohewa mai oe ia'u me kou huhu; Mai hahau mai oe ia'u, me kou inaina nui.
2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,
E aloha mai oe ia'u, e Iehova, no ka mea, ua nawaliwali au; E Iehova, e lapaau mai oe ia'u, no ka mea, ua haalulu ko'u mau iwi.
3 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?
Ua pioloke loa ko'u uhane, Aka o oe, e Iehova, pehea la hoi ka loihi?
4 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.
E hoi mai, e Iehova, e hoopakele mai i ko'u uhane: E hoola mai oe ia'u no ka pono o kou aloha.
5 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell? (Sheol )
No ka mea, maloko o ka make aohe manao ia oe: Maloko o ka malu o ka make, owai la ka mea e hoolea aku ia oe? (Sheol )
6 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.
Ua luhi au i ko'u auwe ana; I ka po a pau i hoolana ai au i ko'u moena: Ua hoopulu au i ko'u wahi moe me ko'u waimaka.
7 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.
Ua pau e kuu maka no ko'u ehaeha; Ua kahiko e no ia no ko'u poe enemi a pau.
8 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
E hele aku mai o'u aku nei, e ka poe hana ino a pau; No ka mea, ua lohe mai o Iehova i ka leo o ko'u uwe ana.
9 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.
Ua lohe mai o Iehova i ko'u nonoi ana; E ae mai ana no o Iehova i ka'u pule.
10 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
E pioloke ko'u poe enemi a pau me ka haalulu loa; E hoi no lakou me ka hilahila koke.
