Psalms 148

1 Give praise to the Lord. Let the Lord be praised from the heavens: give him praise in the skies.

Louvado seja Yah! Louvado seja Yahweh dos céus! Elogie-o nas alturas!

2 Give praise to him, all you his angels: give praise to him, all his armies.

Louvado seja ele, todos os seus anjos! Louvado seja ele, todo o seu exército!

3 Give praise to him, you sun and moon: give praise to him, all you stars of light.

Elogie-o, sol e lua! Louvado seja ele, todos vocês estrelas brilhantes!

4 Give praise to him, you highest heavens, and you waters which are over the heavens.

Elogiem-no, céus dos céus, águas que estão acima dos céus.

5 Let them give praise to the name of the Lord: for he gave the order, and they were made.

Let eles elogiam o nome de Yahweh, pois ele comandou, e eles foram criados.

6 He has put them in their places for ever; he has given them their limits which may not be broken.

Ele também os estabeleceu para todo o sempre. Ele fez um decreto que não vai passar.

7 Give praise to the Lord from the earth, you great sea-beasts, and deep places:

Elogie Yahweh da terra, vocês, grandes criaturas marinhas, e todas as profundezas,

8 Fire and rain of ice, snow and mists; storm-wind, doing his word:

lightning e granizo, neve e nuvens, vento tempestuoso, cumprindo sua palavra,

9 Mountains and all hills; fruit-trees and all trees of the mountains:

montanhas e todas as colinas, árvores frutíferas e todos os cedros,

10 Beasts and all cattle; insects and winged birds:

wild animais e todo o gado, pequenas criaturas e aves voadoras,

11 Kings of the earth, and all peoples; rulers and all judges of the earth:

reis da terra e todos os povos, príncipes e todos os juízes da terra,

12 Young men and virgins; old men and children:

tanto jovens como donzelas, homens idosos e crianças.

13 Let them give glory to the name of the Lord: for his name only is to be praised: his kingdom is over the earth and the heaven.

Let eles elogiam o nome de Yahweh, pois só o seu nome é exaltado. Sua glória está acima da terra e dos céus.

14 He has put on high the horn of his people, for the praise of all his saints; even the children of Israel, a people which is near to him. Let the Lord be praised.

Ele levantou a buzina de seu povo, o louvor de todos os seus santos, mesmo dos filhos de Israel, um povo próximo a ele. Louvado seja Yah!
