< Song of Solomon 1 >
1 This is Solomon’s Song of Songs.
Nyimbo ya Solomoni, nyimbo yoposa nyimbo zonse.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is more delightful than wine.
Undipsompsone ndi milomo yako chifukwa chikondi chako nʼchokoma kuposa vinyo.
3 The fragrance of your perfume is pleasing; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens adore you.
Mafuta ako odzola ndi onunkhira bwino; dzina lako lili ngati mafuta onunkhira otsanulidwa. Nʼchifukwa chake atsikana amakukonda!
4 Take me away with you—let us hurry! May the king bring me to his chambers. We will rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. It is only right that they adore you.
Nditenge ndipo ndizikutsata, tiye tifulumire! Mfumu indilowetse mʼchipinda chake. Abwenzi Ife timasangalala ndi kukondwera nawe, tidzatamanda chikondi chako kupambana vinyo. Mkazi Amachita bwinotu potamanda iwe!
5 I am dark, yet lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.
Ndine wakuda, komatu ndine wokongola, inu akazi a ku Yerusalemu, ine ndine wakuda ngati tenti ya ku Kedara, ngati makatani a tenti ya Solomoni.
6 Do not stare because I am dark, for the sun has gazed upon me. My mother’s sons were angry with me; they made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have neglected.
Musandiyangʼane monyoza chifukwa ndine wakuda, ndine wakuda chifukwa cha dzuwa. Alongo anga anandikwiyira ndipo anandigwiritsa ntchito mʼminda ya mpesa; munda wangawanga sindinawusamalire.
7 Tell me, O one I love, where do you pasture your sheep? Where do you rest them at midday? Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your companions?
Ndiwuze iwe, amene ndimakukonda, kumene umadyetsa ziweto zako ndi kumene umagoneka nkhosa zako nthawi yamasana. Ndikhalirenji ngati mkazi wachiwerewere pambali pa ziweto za abwenzi ako?
8 If you do not know, O fairest of women, follow the tracks of the flock, and graze your young goats near the tents of the shepherds.
Ngati sukudziwa iwe wokongola kwambiri kuposa akazi ena, ngati sukudziwa, tsatira makwalala a nkhosa ndipo udyetse ana ambuzi pambali pa matenti a abusa.
9 I compare you, my darling, to a mare among Pharaoh’s chariots.
Iwe bwenzi langa, uli ngati kavalo wamkazi ku magaleta a Farao.
10 Your cheeks are beautiful with ornaments, your neck with strings of jewels.
Masaya ako ndi okongola ndi ndolo zamʼmakutuzo, khosi lako likukongola ndi mikanda yamiyala yamtengowapatali.
11 We will make you ornaments of gold, studded with beads of silver.
Tidzakupangira ndolo zagolide zokongoletsedwa ndi mikanda yasiliva.
12 While the king was at his table, my perfume spread its fragrance.
Pamene mfumu inali pa malo ake odyera, mafuta anga onunkhira anamveka fungo lake.
13 My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh resting between my breasts.
Wokondedwa wanga ali ngati kathumba ka mure kwa ine, kamene kamakhala pakati pa mawere angawa.
14 My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms in the vineyards of En-gedi.
Wokondedwa wanga ali ngati mpukutu wa maluwa ofiira, ochokera ku minda ya mpesa ya ku Eni-Gedi.
15 How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how very beautiful! Your eyes are like doves.
Iwe wokondedwa wanga, ndiwe wokongoladi! Ndithu, ndiwe chiphadzuwa, maso ako ali ngati nkhunda.
16 How handsome you are, my beloved! Oh, how delightful! The soft grass is our bed.
Iwe bwenzi langa, ndiwe wokongoladi! Ndithu, ndiwe wokongoladi kwambiri! Ndipo malo athu ogonapo ndi msipu wobiriwira.
17 The beams of our house are cedars; our rafters are fragrant firs.
Mitanda ya nyumba yathu ndi ya mkungudza, phaso lake ndi la mtengo wa payini.
