< Proverbs 7 >

1 My son, keep my words and treasure my commandments within you.
Fis mwen an, kenbe pawòl mwen yo e kache kòmandman mwen yo anndan ou.
2 Keep my commandments and live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
Kenbe kòmandman mwen yo pou viv, ak enstriksyon mwen yo kon de grenn zye nan tèt ou.
3 Tie them to your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
Mare yo sou dwèt ou; ekri yo sou tablo a kè ou.
4 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and call understanding your kinsman,
Di a sajès: “Se ou ki sè mwen,” e rele sajès pi bon zanmi ou,
5 that they may keep you from the adulteress, from the stranger with seductive words.
Pou li kab anpeche ou ale jwenn ak yon fanm adiltè; yon fanm etranje a ki fè flate ak pawòl li.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through the lattice.
Paske bo fenèt lakay mwen, mwen te gade nan fant fenèt mwen an.
7 I saw among the simple, I noticed among the youths, a young man lacking judgment,
Konsa, mwen te wè pami moun sòt yo, e te rekonèt pami jenn yo, yon jennonm ki te manke bon sans;
8 crossing the street near her corner, strolling down the road to her house,
ki t ap pase nan lari a toupre kwen kay fanm nan. Konsa, li pran chemen pou rive lakay li,
9 at twilight, as the day was fading into the dark of the night.
nan solèy kouche a, nan aswè, nan mitan lannwit ak nan fènwa.
10 Then a woman came out to meet him, with the attire of a harlot and cunning of heart.
Epi gade, yon fanm vin pwoche li abiye kon pwostitiye ak riz nan kè l.
11 She is loud and defiant; her feet do not remain at home.
Li parèt plen kouraj nan rebelyon li. Pye li pa rete lakay li.
12 Now in the street, now in the squares, she lurks at every corner.
Koulye a nan lari yo, koulye a nan plas yo, lap kache tan nan tout kwen.
13 She seizes him and kisses him; she brazenly says to him:
Konsa, li sezi li, bo li; e ak figi byen ranje, li di li:
14 “I have made my peace offerings; today I have paid my vows.
“Mwen te prèt pou ale fè ofrann lapè yo. Se jodi a, mwen fin peye ve mwen yo.
15 So I came out to meet you; I sought you, and I have found you.
Konsa, mwen te vin rankontre ou, pou jwenn prezans ou; e konsa, mwen te twouve ou.
16 I have decked my bed with coverings, with colored linen from Egypt.
Mwen byen ranje kabann mwen ak kouvèti; avèk bèl dra Égypte yo.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, with aloes, and with cinnamon.
Mwen te flite kabann nan ak pafen flè jasmen, lwil womaren ak kanèl.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love till morning. Let us delight in loving caresses!
Vini, annou bwè ladann e fè lanmou jis rive nan maten. Annou fè kè nou kontan ak doudous nou yo.
19 For my husband is not at home; he has gone on a long journey.
Paske mari m pa lakay la; li ale nan yon gran vwayaj.
20 He took with him a bag of money and will not return till the moon is full.”
Li te pran yon sak lajan avè l. Jis rive nan plèn lin, l ap retounen lakay.”
21 With her great persuasion she entices him; with her flattering lips she lures him.
Ak anpil ankourajman, li atire li; avèk lèv a flatè, li sedwi li.
22 He follows her on impulse, like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer bounding into a trap,
Sibitman, li swiv li tankou yon bèf k ap monte labatwa, tankou moun sòt kab mache rive nan ne koulan an.
23 until an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare— not knowing it will cost him his life.
Jiskaske yon flèch frennen li nan fwa l; tankou yon zwazo k ap fè vit pou rive nan pèlen. Se konsa, li pa konnen ke sa va koute lavi li.
24 Now, my sons, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Alò, pou sa, fis yo, koute mwen e okipe pawòl a bouch mwen yo.
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways; do not stray into her paths.
Pa kite kè ou vire akote nan chemen li yo! Pa vin antre egare nan wout li yo!
26 For she has brought many down to death; her slain are many in number.
Paske, anpil se viktim ke li deja jete anba yo; e anpil se sila ki te mouri akoz li.
27 Her house is the road to Sheol, descending to the chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
Lakay li nan wout Sejou mò yo, k ap desann nan chanm lanmò yo. (Sheol h7585)
