< Acts 11 >
1 The apostles and brothers throughout Judea soon heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
WANPORON o saulang kan, me mi Iudäa, rongadar, me men liki kan pil aleer masan en Kot.
2 So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, the circumcised believers took issue with him
Petrus lao pwara dong Ierusalem, me kisan sirkomsais oko ap akamai ong i indada:
3 and said, “You visited uncircumcised men and ate with them.”
Kom pwarala ren ol akai me so sirkomsais oko o manga re’rail.
4 But Peter began and explained to them the whole sequence of events:
A Petrus pikikidi masani ong irail karos me wiauier irerokedo masani:
5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision of something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came right down to me.
Ngai mi nan kanim Iope wia kapakap. O ni ai wukilar, i kilanger kasansal eu: Ed eu kodido sang nanlang likamata tein pwainok kalaimun eu, me imwi kan pukopuk pena o a kodido imp ai.
6 I looked at it closely and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds of the air.
Ni ai kangkakil, i ap diar o kilanger man aluki pa en sappa kai, o man laoalo, o man korop, o manpir en pan lang.
7 Then I heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter, kill and eat.’
Ngai ari rongadar ngil eu, me masani ong ia: Petrus, paurida, kamela o manga!
8 ‘No, Lord,’ I said, ‘for nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’
A ngai potoan ong: Kaidin Maing, pwe sota me mal kot, de me saut kin ko ong nan au ai.
9 But the voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’
A ngil kariapak sapeng sang nanlang: Meakot me Kot kamakelekeledar, koe der mamaleki!
10 This happened three times, and everything was drawn back up into heaven.
Mepukat wiauier pan silepak, ap apdar nanlang.
11 Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.
A kilang, madang ol silimen kasinenda mon im, me i mi lole, me pakadara dong ia sang Säsarea.
12 The Spirit told me to accompany them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man’s home.
A Ngen kotin masani ong ia, i en iang irail wei so peikasal; a saulang wonemen pukat pil iang ia. Kit ari pedelong ong nan im en ol o.
13 He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.
I ari kaire kin kit, duen a kilanger tounlang o kotikot nan im a, masani ong i: Kadara wong Iope ol akai, me pan ukedo Simon me pil ad a Petrus,
14 He will convey to you a message by which you and all your household will be saved.’
Me pan padaki ong uk, me koe o noumui kan karos pan maur kila.
15 As I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as He had fallen upon us at the beginning.
Ni ai pikikidi padak, Ngen saraui ap moredi ong po’rail, dueta a kotin moredi ong po’tail ni tapi o.
16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, as He used to say, ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
Ngai ari tamanda masan en Kaun o, me a kotin masani: Melel, pil me Ioanes paptais kier, a komail pan paptais kila Ngen saraui.
17 So if God gave them the same gift He gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to hinder the work of God?”
Ari, ma Kot kotin kisakisa irail dueta a kotin kisakisa kitail er, kitail me posonlar Kaun Iesus Kristus, is ngai, pwe i en kak palian Kot?
18 When they heard this, their objections were put to rest, and they glorified God, saying, “So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life.”
Irail lao rongadar mepukat ap nenenla o kapinga Kot indada: Nan Kot pil kotiki ong men liki kan en kalula, pwen maurela.
19 Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews.
A me muei pasang ni ansau en kamekam en Stepanus, kakan sili lel Pönisien, o Sipern, o Antiokien o sota padaki ong meamen pwe Sus akan eta.
20 But some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus.
A nan pung arail ol akai mia, men Sipern o Kirene, me pwara dong Antiokien, ap pil padaki ong men Krik rongamau en Kaun Iesus.
21 The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
A lim en Kaun o ieiang irail o me toto posonlar wuki ong Kaun o.
22 When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.
Rong en mepukat ap peidong momodisou en Ierusalem. Ir ari poronelar Parnapas, pwen kokola lel Antiokien.
23 When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
I lao pwarador o kilanger mak en Kot, ap peren kidar o panaui irail karos, ren kelail ni mongiong arail o podidi ong Kaun o.
24 Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
Pwe i me ol kelail o mau amen, me dir en Ngen saraui o poson. A aramas toto me wuki ong Kaun o.
25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
A ap kola Tarsus rapaki Paulus.
26 and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
A lao diaradar i, ap ukedo i Antiokien. Ira ap mimi ren momodisou par eu o padapadaki ong me toto. A nan Antiokien tounpadak kan tapidar adaneki sapwilim en Kristus akan.
27 In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.
A ni ran pukat saukop akai ko dong Antiokien sang Ierusalem.
28 One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted through the Spirit that a great famine would sweep across the whole world. (This happened under Claudius.)
A amen irail, me ad a Akapus me u kokopki Ngen, me muei lek lapalap pan kipadi sappa; ari, a pwaidar ni muein Klaudius.
29 So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.
A irail inauki pena, me re pan kisakisa saulang kan, me mi Ierusalem duen ar kapwapwa amen amen.
30 This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
Mepukat re wiadar; re kadar wong saunkoa kan Parnapas o Paulus me wala.
