< Psalms 81 >
1 For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. By Asaph. Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob!
Kathutkung: Asaph Maimae thaonae Cathut koe kacaipounglah la sak awh. Jakop Cathut koe konawm laihoi hram awh.
2 Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
La sak awh nateh cecak hah khawng awh. A lawk kahawi e ratoung tamawi hah kueng awh.
3 Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
Thapa rei hnin, kamhluem hnin, pawi hnin vah mongka ueng awh.
4 For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, hethateh, Isarelnaw hanlah phunglam lah ao teh, Jakop Cathut kâlawk lah ao.
5 He appointed it in Joseph for a covenant, when he went out over the land of Egypt, I heard a language that I did not know.
Hethateh, Izip ram pueng a cei awh teh, thai panuek hoeh e lawk thainae hmuen koevah, lawkpanuesaknae Joseph koe a sak e doeh.
6 “I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.
A loung dawk a hrawm e hnori hah a puen pouh teh, a kut hoi a tawm e a bawm hah a kuem pouh.
7 You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah.” (Selah)
Rucat navah na kaw teh na rungngang awh. khoparitnae hmuen koehoi na pato awh teh, Meribah tui koehoi na tanouk awh. (Selah)
8 “Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me!
Oe ka taminaw thai awh haw, lawk na thui vai. Oe Isarel ka lawk tarawi awh haw.
9 There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
Miphun louk cathut nangmouh koe awm mahoeh. Miphun louk cathut na bawk awh mahoeh.
10 I am the LORD, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Kai teh Cathut Jehovah, Izip ram hoi na kahrawikung doeh. Ka kaw lah na pahni ang awh nateh, ka kawi sak han.
11 But my people did not listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
Hatei, ka taminaw ni ka lawk hah ngai awh hoeh. Isarelnaw ni banglahai na pouk awh hoeh.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.
Amamae lungpatanae koe ka poe teh, amamouh ngai patetlah ao awh.
13 Oh that my people would listen to me, that Israel would walk in my ways!
Oe ka taminaw ni ka lawk hah ngai boilah, Isarel ni ka lamthung dawn haw pawiteh khe.
14 I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.
A taran tang ka tâ pouh vaiteh, ahnimouh katarankungnaw koe ka kut ka dâw pouh han eite.
15 The haters of the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.
BAWIPA kahmuhmanaw ni a hmalah kâhet awh vaiteh, ka taminaw teh pou a kangning awh han eite.
16 But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”
Kahawi poung e tavai hoi ka kawk vaiteh, lungsong thung e khoitui hoi a lungkhuekti sak han eite.
